I am writing articles at substack that you can subscribe to for free and they will be emailed to you. Sign up for my newsletter emails via the substack notices  https://substack.com/@patsloanva  This is a simple signup. If you find it is asking you for a ton of stuff, then you clicked something you should not have clicked. Start again and carefully read it.

If you get a 404 page, use the SEARCH feature at the top right of my website. You can also try the wayback machine at https://web.archive.org/web/20250000000000*/ilovetomakequilts.com which may have something that did not come over in the move.

As you know 2025 was a dumpster fire for me.  I had my website company close and NOT move us to another location. I had 2 weeks to move my entire system, my newsletter company closed, another business service I use had a massive change, and I was in MT to help my mom move. Mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer and I spent 6 months helping her until she died at the end of 2025. (you can watch my tribute video at https://youtu.be/8uPlZEuZ7e8?si=WJ65yVdN7-LiXoAg

With 26 years in business, there is a massive amount of data that did not get moved over in the 2 weeks I had to do it. Right now I do not have plans to add things back, but I might at some point if I run the QAL again.  You can try the way back machine as sometimes the pages are still there. Unfortunately I had many website names over the 26 years and ran multiple blogs, so my data was massive and in several places.

As of right now if you can not find something, then it is out of print. Like your favorite icecream they don’t make anymore. The company won’t just produce one container of it for you, you have to wait until it is reissued by them.

We’ve had some discussion about an accurate 1/4″ seam allowance at my online group. It’s a GREAT discussion to have.  When I learned to quilt I took a 12 week course and I learned block construction, how to draft, and why there IS basic math, grids, and accuracy involved in quilt making. So it does […]

This week is all about The Kitchen!  My maternal grandma, Na-Na, had what she called ‘Half a Modern Kitchen’. She also had Half a Modern bathroom but a series […]

You have been sewing along on your 'Will you Be my Neighbor' quilts and I decided it was time to get this running again for everyone! These gorgeous big house blocks with trees, birds, stars and a lovely sail boat are so cute I can't stand it!  And the blocks are free from Moda, which is […]

Article continues below these Amazon Goodies Each Block in Grandma’s Kitchen will be a memory or event.  Often the block name is something I thought about this week. This is very much a journal for me, and It’s so much fun to have everyone joining!  This week might be unique to me, but I bet it […]

Article continues below these Amazon Goodies I have wanted to work with the bloc loc ruler to do square in a square. When Moda’s new ‘Treat Size’ precut came out I knew that was the unit I wanted to work with! The Treat is size is 3.5″ square, I love this ‘little bit bigger’ size […]

Article continues below these Amazon Goodies Each Block in Grandma’s Kitchen will be a memory or event.  We started block #1 as the ‘heart of the Kitchen’ That is where everything happens for so many grandma’s. Like when I did the Solstice Challenge, often the block name is something I thought about this week. This […]

I am the host of Aurifil’s Designer of the Month program for the last 6 years. And during that time we have had so many cute projects from our fantastic designers!  I suggested to the Aurifil we run the 2012 Embroidery Block of the Month again as it’s darling and many of you might have […]
