You have been sewing along on your 'Will you Be my Neighbor' quilts and I decided it was time to get this running again for everyone! These gorgeous big house blocks with trees, birds, stars and a lovely sail boat are so cute I can't stand it! And the blocks are free from Moda, which is so generous!!
So what's a neighborhood without a few friends? So I started!!!

I started mine with the Juniper Berry Christmas-y but not too Christmas-y fabric line to make mine a Winter Neighborhood. I'm in Virginia so I do get winter.
With this version of the sew along I may do a second neighborhood. Should it be red & white/ Red and Aqua?
You can get a bit of Juniper Berry HERE or HERE, but it's an older line. so look for MORE fun Christmas HERE (all links at the end again)

Look at HOW ADORABLE this fabric is.. seriously adorable.
I need more.. so leave me some

I also sewed up this house with my Hometown girl.. There is a tree on the left side of the house to complete the block
The windows are so perfect for fun fabrics!

All my Christmas-y version background will be the same Moda Tiny dot.
I will improvise as I go if I need more and add from what I have on hand
Fabric Requirements 68″ x 84":
- 16 House Blocks: Assorted Prints & Solids – I am using an older line that I started with before Juniper Berry (More Juniper berry HERE)
- I have a yard of the large Black and white polka dot
- look for MORE fun Christmas HERE
- Background, Sashing & border : 6 yards – I'm using tiny dots
- Binding: 2/3 yard
- Backing: 4 – 3/4 yards

This is my friend Melissa Corry's version it is SO AWESOME I had to share it! She used Chestnut Street by Fig Tree Quilts, Sundrops by Corey Yoder, and parts of Olives Flower Market.

Hi Pat, thank you for another fabulous sew along!
Love this one Pat. One of the quilting groups I’m involved with is working on it. We’ve been assigned blocks to work on that we are going to do the swapping thing with. We all should end up with very interesting scrappy quilts when we each complete them. I’m working on 2 of the blocks, # 4 and # 14. Like 8 of each.
Thank you Pat Sloan for starting again with block one of Neighborhood. I am so new to this – and I started with the 6 1/2″ blocks, working on my own, before I knew about you, your FB and your blog and videos. This large block was so much easier for me than the little blocks. And SO cute. I love the block! Thanks. I’m having fun!
Hola Pat Sloan. Es una casa preciosa de Navidad, con su árbol incluido. Me encanta. Saludos.
Hi, Pat. I will give this a try. I have many ‘small scraps’ I can use for this project. Hope I can keep up, as I am doing other sew-alongs, too. they are sew nice. I have sew much stash I need to use up! Charlotte
This is so tempting.
Love this will be giving this a go, but struggled to put pics up on here with the other quilt along I’m doing
Like your Christmas look and the other posts. This is a very fun pattern and look. I have the first row done. Ready to start the second. I am using reproduction fabrics that made them look like turn of the century houses. Am loving it. Will try to figure out how to get a photo onto here. Thanks Pat
