I have wanted to create this quilt for a LONG time. I've done many flag quilts over the years and this single block was in a 4 block, a one block, but now… ta da….

The Grand Ole Flag!
It's a really fun and fast quilt to do and I'm using all of my Sunday Drive fabric
To celebrate the First Day of Summer, the end of the Winter Solstice, I'm going to quilt it!

I finished it!! Quilted with my Aurifil Thread kit
The batting i used makes it wonderful… take a look below at the final!


I might put this on the front porch today! I actually think i need a hanger quilts on my porch.

Fun, easy and quick. Mine is Not quilted yet but looking to do it soon. Did you quilt any of the flag stripes or inside the blue areas?
Pat, which of the batting choices did you use for your flag quilt. So many choices when I followed the link. I prefer cotton batting but am looking for something very light weight. Thanks for your help.

I’ve made my flag blocks and am waiting for the aqua fabric to come to do the sashing and border.

I love it on the porch, that is where mine will go after the sashing comes!
I may use it this year as a quilt top and next year as a completed quilt. Depends how soon the fabric comes!
