***Hometown Charms, my Block Wednesday Mystery Quilt Along***

I was thinking about themes and the name of my quilt Hometown Charm popped into my head. Gregg and I have lived where we are now for 38 years, 37 of those in our home. This is the longest we have ever lived in one place. That is both shocking and cozy at the same time. I never thought I’d live in one place this long.

So I thought, what is it that gives our Hometown some ‘Charm’? What makes our Hometown feel cozy and secure? Why makes our Hometown so very special to us? This is what we will explore for our Block Wednesday Quilt along!

I’ve also asked the ambassadors to share their thoughts on the block themes, so you’ll get to know them a bit better, won’t that be fun?

Blocks: 12 blocks – ALL PIECED 12″ finished.
Patterns:

- Blocks released on Wednesday morning
ONE assignment per week.

TIMING: Wednesday around 7:30am est the block is available at my website. The Email notice goes out noon-ish in my time zone, eastern time zone. The email is NEVER when the block is published.

What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is 18″ x 20″
Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes! Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it’s a mystery
What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block. I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic. That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.
