Leave me a comment by 6pm easter time on July 2, 2024 telling me:

** What type of scrappy quilts do you like?

Winner is Vivian who said "I like "kitchen sink" scrap quilts — the ones that use scraps of any kind or color. String and crumb quilts are fun too as you don't even need the scraps to be precisely cut to use them in the blocks! This looks like a fun book."

  1. Love scrappy quilts – my quilt book library can attest to that! Would love to add a wonky component. I am more of a controlled scrappy kind of girl when it comes to most of my scrappy projects.

  2. I am what you call a frugal quilter. I would say 90%+ of my quilts are scrappy. I’ve been playing with crumb blocks lately.

  3. I love scrappy quilts! I’m always looking for new ways to make them! I’d love to win this book!

  4. I love all scrappy quilts!! I’ve been doing a lot of 2 1/2 octagon scrappies using up my blocks that I cut out of scraps. I love strip quilts, I love wonky blocks, it doesn’t matter to me scrappy is the way to go!!

  5. Pat,
I am new to scrappy quilting. I would love to try scrappy quilting and learn from you would be awesome to see and I never seen that book before so that’s new to me.

  6. I really like making scrappy quilts – especially string quilts. I’m going to be making a scrappy Crossroads block with leftover “hatchet” blocks and 2 1/2” squares. However, as you were thumbing through this book, my mind starting thinking about the possibilities- especially with that scrappy flower. Thank you for the opportunity!
By the way, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you and Mr. Greg! I’m not a June bride, but I AM a June baby – and today is my birthday!

  7. My favorite scrappy quilts are those where the tiniest pieces of scraps are used and the whole quilt is made out of a person‘s scrap stash. I find it so rewarding for myself also when I can use leftover materials from my coordinated projects and not have to purchase any new fabric to complete another project.

  8. So satisfying to use up leftovers of quilt tops gone before. I love all styles of scrap quilts. I would love the book.

  9. I like very Scrappy quilts. I make a lot of 6 1/2 inch blocks with pieces small one inch and Any color. Add some sashing. And then make it the size I want

  10. Hello!
I like to make scrappy quilts that have some pictures in them for my grandchildren to play “I spy”. Pictures can be large or small, or involve a favorite color

  11. I love to make mile a minute scrappy quilts. I do tend to control the fabric somewhat but I’m working on coming out of my control box. Happy Anniversary to you and Gregg, what a mile stone and doesn’t it just fly by?

  12. I have LOTS of crumb blocks since 2020😵‍💫. I’ve been sewing them up as small lap quilts for our wheelchair lap quilts for our guild’s Comfort program. They seem to multiply when I’m not looking🤣 and love the idea you shared today! I’ll start tomorrow to make some! Thank you!

  13. I love scrap projects, but I like a bit of control as in an all reproduction fabric scrap quilt or all floral family. Thanks for the chance!

  14. I adore scrappy quilts! I started making them out of necessity years ago but they’re still my favorite

  15. I’ve never made a scrappy quilt. Yours looks adorable. I would love to have a copy of your book.

  16. Live scrappy quilts especially using squares and half square triangles. Would love this book.

  17. Most of the time I need a controlled scrappy quilt but I do love the postage stamp quilt. I haven’t made one yet but there is hope.

  18. I like scrappy quilts that include red fabrics and have a more controlled design. I love seeing scrap blocks with a really dark background. It makes the scraps “sparkle”

  19. Scrap quilts are my favorite! I love making both a limited color palette and crumb, anything goes quilts. Thank you for the opportunity to win this interesting book!

  20. I love making quilts where each color is scrappy, but the overall pattern is controlled. It allows me to use up smaller pieces of fabric where there wouldn’t be enough of any one color. I think that just makes a quilt sparkle.

  21. I like a controlled scrappy. Something with blues, oranges and yellows or purples, violets and lots of different greens. Something paper pieced helps me have a scrappy plan. Strips on a foundation lets me really play with a wider range of colors. It’s fabric. Scrappy lets one really explore what colors might work for a larger quilt.

  22. I am wondering- what scraps?!!!
I have a drawerful but tend to use my stash in order to make NEW SCRAPS, more scraps!
Book looks like something fun could come out of it !!!
We love you in Pahrump NV, PAT ❤️

  23. Scrappy quilts are my favorite kind. Sometimes I use one color way to provide consistency and other times I’ll pick a couple of unusual colors to put together.

  24. I just used scraps to make toss pillows for my patio furniture. Have lots of 2 1/2 inch squares to copy you with alternating white squares, love your aqua one and having fun watching your progress with the yellow. Mine will be a little of all colors, I think!!

  25. Any scrappy quilts using varied-sized circles with ‘circled’ quilt borders & stars with prairie points borders.

  26. I love scrappy quilts and would really enjoy their book of ideas to make – so many possibilities . Thanks for the chance to win it !

  27. I really haven’t made a “true” scrap quilt however I’ve used my scraps to make a few boho bags and a boho style quilted jacket. My daughters have enjoyed their scrap boho bags. Their friends have asked for a bag too.

  28. I like colorful scrappy quilts that have a fabric that ties them together such as the blue does in the blocks you made today. This looks like a really fun book!!

  29. I like the scrappy wonky blocks that are built up around a center. I’m definitely going to try the one you made today.

  30. One thing that is true in the life of a quilter is there will always be scraps! Believe me….the overflowing scrap baskets in my sewing room is proof positive. I love scrap quilts. The more random the colors, the prettier they are in my opinion!
When scrap happens, make a colorful quilt‼️😉

  31. Hi, I like to make crazy quilts, scraps from all the clothes I have made for my kids then hand and machine embroidered the sides, I love it. Thanks Pat.

  32. I haven’t actually made a scrappy block, yet, but I have a lot of scraps. I would love to win this!

  33. I think my favorite scrappy quilt to make is called string quilts. I’ve got one started This will be my first try at scrappy quilting. I’ll make blocked with strings. Staying in the same color way. Then sash then.

  34. I love scrappy quilts. That’s how I started and they continue to be my favorite. I would love this book. I really enjoy new ideas and suggestions.

  35. I like scrappy quilts made with log cabin blocks the best.
I would love to have a copy of the book.

  36. I love quilts with a lot of different blocks. I tend to get bored making the same blocks over and over again.
