Would you like to win a copy of this amazing book?

Leave me a comment by 6pm easter time on July 2, 2024 telling me:

** What type of scrappy quilts do you like?

Winner is Vivian who said "I like "kitchen sink" scrap quilts — the ones that use scraps of any kind or color. String and crumb quilts are fun too as you don't even need the scraps to be precisely cut to use them in the blocks! This looks like a fun book."

Thanks for thinking of all of us!

  9. I’m pretty new to quilting so I haven’t made a scrappy quilt yet. I like the look of log cabin. I also like the postage stamp ones but it looks like a lot of seams to match up. Maybe with more experience it will seem less daunting.
    Happy sewing

  10. I’d love to have your book. Scrappy quilts are so visually exciting and interesting. I enjoy sewing scrappy quilts that have a theme : animal rescue, camping, and holidays in the fall are some of my latest ones.

  11. Hello Pat, I have bins filled with scraps and absolutely love the block you made. I’ve been keeping my scraps by color and love the idea of using one color wave in this block. I’m going to start making blocks like you did by color so when I make this quilt, I’ll have enough blocks ready! Happy Anniversary!

  12. I love making scrappy 3” or 5” squares quilts. After using the fabric in previous quilts, I just enjoy mindless sewing and the happy melding of all the colors.

  13. I love incorporating much loved fabrics into scrappy quilts! Your video came out at just the right time to get my creative juices flowing for a fun, summertime scrappy quilt! I like the idea of making a wonky log cabin but loved the block you showed this morning on you video.

  19. I have a mountain of scraps and winning this book would help me make that mount dwindle into a mole hill. At the moment I’m sewing strips onto my used dryer sheets. Now I need inspiration on how to sew them all together.

  20. I like scrappy blocks with white backgrounds to minimize the busyness of the fabrics… but I think scrap quilts, in general, are my favorite.

  21. Scrap quilts? Yes, all kinds! I have an Accuquilt cutter that I use to cut down my scraps into sizes I know I can use. If I want to jump start my creativity, all I have to do is try to throw a small piece of fabric away and I get a jolt of inspiration in my brain of what I could do with it! String quilts, block quilts, improv blocks, wonky neighborhoods with houses, trees and stars. I make them all. Love the block you made Pat! It would look great as a pillow. Scraps Rule!(me at least!) Happy Anniversary to you and Gregg.

  22. Hi Pat. I like any scrappy quilt I see. But I don’t make them. I k know, I’m a terrible quilter 😁

  26. I love making scrappy quilts. This year our guild challenge is to make scrappy table runners. The blocks in this book would lend themselves to helping me make a variety of scrappy block to use in the table runners. Even if I don’t win this book, I will be adding it to my library!!!

  27. I like using my scraps to make a quilt. Sometimes I use your check board pattern to use up my 2.1/2” squares, I also like to use your green bean pattern for scrappy quilts. The center is big enough to put an embroidery design on.
