I love all kinds of scrappy quilts! If I have to have a favorite, maybe the rail fence?
I love to make scrap quilts. I have made a tiny house scrap quilt, I’ve also made scrap quilts using adding machine tape and made scrap strips and will make “fabric” out of the same color scraps/crumbs and sew them together and then cut that to make the right size cut to make a block.
I love working with scraps leftover from a project right away with a matching pillow cover or a table runner or a bag or pouch. It really gets my creative juices flowing! This book is right up my alley. Thank you for all that you share with us . You are loved!💞
Oh for the love of scraps. What a great use for all those orphan blocks Pat. Thank you for sharing your creative interpretation of the windmill block. I simply love all things Shannon & Jason! Their classes are so fun and freeing. There are no rules… just wonk it up!
Scrap quilts are a fun way to play with colour combinations.
Almost all my quilts are scrappy quilts. I have a large inventory of fabric and I try to use what I have. My two most favorite blocks at this point in time is applique or scrappy log cabin blocks. I love the block you made from the book. I would love to try it, because I do have some crumb blocks that it would look fabulous with. Also it would look great with scrappy log cabin blocks.
I would love to win the Quilt Block Extravaganza book! I’m just learning to do “scrappy” with my leftovers.
Scrappy quilts are my favorites! They remind me of bygone days when people used what they had and made due. I have a very old scrappy quilt hanging in my sewing room made by my grandmother probably around 1915. It shows that it has been well loved and I remember sleeping under it as a kid.
I enjoy scrappy quilts so that I can use up my many scraps. However, I frustrate myself somewhat because even if I am making a scrappy quilt I still find myself controlling the scraps by ordering color and combinations. So, scrappy quilts end up being a lot more work for me. I spend ages moving around blocks on my design wall, and often unpick and resew some blocks to get the exact colors that I want. I need to let loose and just let it flow!
I love to make 2 1/2” sixteen patches with my scraps using a same color solid between each printed square.
I just make a mile a minute type blocks . I’m currently making 5″ squares of made fabric. I enjoyed watching your tutorial from the book today. So much fun to be scrappy and traditional too.
I like all kinds of quilts. Recently I have begun making scrap quilts. Many of the sampler quilts I have made some call them organized scrappy quilts. I like Bonnie Hunter quilts made from scraps. I like paper piecing quilts made from scraps. My favorite is organized scrappy quilts.
This book shows so many fun things to do with scraps.
I have made only one scrappy quilt – a triple Irish chain. It turned out great. I would like to learn other pattrrns
I love scrappy house blocks. They make me smile. I love the options to change stuff on the houses. They all look so different.
I love scrappy quilts. Recently I made a scrappy string block quilt out of just my blue scraps. It was a great scrap buster and made a small dent in my blue scraps.
I love pretty much any kind of scrappy quilt!! I, too, am using adding machine tape right now! Every so often I grab it & add several pieces to it.
I love scrappy quilts. I love the Wonky rose block. I liked how you put the Don Quixote quilt block together so fast. Happy anniversary hope your day is Fantastic❣️
What a great book. I am already thinking about a project to make based from your video. Thanks and I hope I win. 🤞🏼
Living where I do and not having access to a quilt shop nearby I make a fair amount of scrap quilts. I loved doing 54, 40 or Fight – loved watching the circles form even though it is all straight seams. I use a lot of tiny scraps in my appliqué quilts. Used lots of scraps in my 52 blocks in 52 weeks and also a lot of scraps in the 3” Sewcialites 1 and 2 as well as both Splendid Sampler quilts – lots of scraps. Loved watching you do this block today using your scraps – similar to step 1 of a stack and whack quilt.
I love scrappy quilts, but have only made one. I’d love to have this book as a guide to get started.
I like organized scrappy blocks- like the one you demonstrated today!
Thank you Pat for all you do!
Love the look of the scrappy blocks you have made, would love to try a scrappy quilt with all my scraps and stash. There were great ideas in the book would love to be able to have a copy. I have only been a member of your group for a little over a year, but have learned so much from your videos, and have gotten stated on my quilting journey. Pat Thank you, for all your hard work and showing us that quilting is fun and not as hard as I imagined.
Everyone from my quilt group gives me scraps and I make all kinds of quilts with them. But always looking for more patterns.
Love making scrappy books. I have seen this book and have been tempted to buy it!! Great fun!
Rectangles and squares are my favorite forms and I do scrappy blocks with them using a light background. I also have some blocks done with crumbs of different form. Since I need to incorporate those in a quilt, I find that book very interesting.
I make scrappy quilts tops for our charity group. Our quilts are given to children and they love I spy quilts. I think the book would give us/me more options on scrappy quilts.
Love all the scrappy quilts. Would like to win this book to see the new ideas. Thanks for the opportunity. I make postage stamp mug rugs, adding machine tape 18″ strips, and yoyos to name a few…KISS! July 1st is our 57th anniversary. Keep up the good work that you share.
Any scrappy quilts that I can use my extra fabrics from all my planned quilts — paper pieced are my favorite at present. But I also like using extra half square triangles and little pieces for crumb squares. Not much goes to waste!
I am completely addicted to all things scrappy quilts! Currently I’m working on a postage stamp quilt, an I Spy quilt and a wonky block quilt similar to the ones you have in your random scraps blocks drawer. This book is right up my ally and I’d love to be entered to win a copy thank you!
Love crumb quilts with simple sashing between squares.
Scrap quilt sewing is my happy place. I have not put any thought into them so far just keep adding or starting a new scrap block. But i love the idea of incorporating the block idea you shared today and more…. Thank you for sharing.
Love repurposing the blocks! Nice charity quilts can be made from this project for our guild!
Hi Pat
I love all scrappy quilts especially the string and crumb blocks with a sashing. The book would be a wonderful addition to my collection. Thanks Pat
Hi Miss Pat!
This block is awesome! I have a love affair with scrappy quilts. I think they tell so man6 stories and just the difference in all the fabrics is wonderful. This book looks amazing. I have several scrappy quilts in the making but definitely inspired by this qu8lt block. Possibilities are endless!
Appreciate everything yo7 do!
Happy quilting!
Thanks!
I make quilts using all types of scraps: strips, squares, wonky pieces in all sizes and colors. Some quilts have a color theme other quilts have many colors. Each quilt is beautiful in it’s own way.
I would like to make a scrappy quilt or jacket. The book would be good for learning.
I love scrappy quilts and hate to throw away usable fabric. Plus I have high school gtaduation quilts to mak for 4 more grandchildren. Good way to make fun patterns for great kids!
I love scrappy improv blocks of all sorts, but wonky stars are my go-to. I hate throwing away fabric so I try to use scraps down to 1 inch, which is sometimes challenging.
I love scrappy improv quilts and I have plenty of scraps to use! I love the blick you made this morning!
I have made a couple I Spy baby quilts and University of Wisconsin mixed fabric scrappy quilts. I love the block you showed today that will make the process easier and faster!
The small guilt group I belong to has been making some scrappy strip quilts lately for local charities.
I think the scrappy block you made from the book would be fun for my group to try for our next quilt. I would love to win the book.
I like to make crumb blocks but my all time favorite scrappy quilt is diagonal strips. These make beautiful and interesting quilts!
Since I make charity quilts, my sewing friends have donated left-over odds and ends scraps to me on occasion. Then it’s up to me to figure out how to incorporate them into scrappy quilts.
I like to make scrap quilts with a limited number of scrap variety required. I’m a minimalist fabric stasher.
Scrappy quilts are the reason I’m quilting! I love making something beautiful out of nothing!
Love scraps and crumbs! This book looks like it will be SEW much fun!
I love scrappy quilts! My favorite to make. I’m not an organized scrappy quilter…the more scrapper the better. Crumby, Crumbs, love love love. Reminds me of the olden days. I don’t have this book but it looks very interesting.
I have made string quilts to use up extra strips and have made crazy quilt blocks for other size scraps. I also save save snowball scraps ( sew and turn) and use those it’s bitty HSTs.
I would love this ebook. My favourite scrap quilts have been selvage strip quilts. I think that would look great as the block you did today. I am really enjoying your scrap pieces becoming blocks too. So many choices. Thanks for the ideas Pat.
