Would you like to win a copy of this amazing book?

Leave me a comment by 6pm easter time on July 2, 2024 telling me:

** What type of scrappy quilts do you like?

Winner is Vivian who said "I like "kitchen sink" scrap quilts — the ones that use scraps of any kind or color. String and crumb quilts are fun too as you don't even need the scraps to be precisely cut to use them in the blocks! This looks like a fun book."

  1. I’m a very new quilter and just getting sucked into the passion. I’ve never made a scrappy quilt but I enjoy them. This book would be so helpful.

  2. Saying that I have tons of scraps. They are in tubs and maybe this book would help me get some of them used up for charity quilts.

  3. I’ve been working with a local church group with a large closet of donated fabrics. We are always looking for new ways to use what we’ve been given. I love the idea in you video today!

  4. Oh, I’d love to win the book! I have a stack of scrappy blocks I need to find something to do with.

  5. I have just done a re-org on all my scraps, strips and trial blocks. I’m looking for different ways to sew them together into quilts and then donating them to various charities. I do think such a book will give me great ideas to put all the pieces and sizes together.

  6. I love making all kind of scrappy projects. The block you made today is so beautiful! I need to try it. I would love to learn how to make those gorgeous roses. Thank you and the authors for this opportunity 🙏🏼. Kisses and hugs and, of course, congratulations for your anniversary. ❤️

  7. Scrappy anything I love! Right now imhabpve bins of different sizes of strips. They are full so need to get making more scrappy quilts soon!

  8. I love scrappy quilts and wonky blocks! I’d love to win a copy! I also watched the book party on Facebook. There are so many fun blocks that I can’t wait to make! Thank you for the opportunity to win a copy!

  9. I like controlled scrappy quilts. I usually pick all lights or all pinks, etc. Log cabin blocks are the easiest to make with scraps.

  10. The majority of my scrap quilts are from scraps cut into 2.5″ strips and charms. I getting tired of jelly roll races, rail fences, HSTs and pinwheels. I need some new blocks to create as I have tons of crumbs too. The rose blocks really appeal to me, I need to learn how to make those!

  11. I don’t think I have ever really done a “scrappy” quilt. I don’t know how to start, when I have tried I get frustrated. But I would like to try one and maybe this book would help me.

  12. I love to make scrappy blocks using 2.5” squares! I’ve made many of your patterns such as Traffic Jam and Little Wishes! I’m currently working on a Sea Glass quilt like yours, it’s a lot of little squares!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and inspiration ❤️

  13. I love making scrappy blocks then putting them together in a quilt. I call them liberated log cabins.

  14. I make either diagonal strip blocks or ersatz log cabin blocks and then make charity quilts from them to donate through my church. We also make many other patterns for donation. We are lucky enough to have a long-armer in our group who quilts them all. We just blessed and donated eighteen quilts a couple of weeks ago.

  15. I have made a few scrap blocks and they are fun to do! The book looks like it has so many fun and interesting projects!

  16. I’m just starting to do scrappy blocks and quilts. I enjoy it, but still have to do a little bit of a controlled block. I would love a copy of that book.

  17. I am pretty much a planned scrappy quilter. Sometimes it is a fabric or two that is the same in the quilt, just to provide a bit of consistency in the quilt. I find that this provides a place for the eyes to rest. I would love to win this book to help expand my scrappiness. Very interesting designs!

  18. I love scrappy quilts, but my OCD likes to control the scrappy. I’ve made scrappy tumbler blocks by color and will eventually sew them in a pattern to go from dark to light diagonally. This is something I work on with all the left overs from other projects.

  19. I really enjoy crumb piecing and improv work. This book looks like it would be a great addition to my collection.

  20. I love to make scrappy quilts. My friends save me there scraps. I just do what I think. Would be nice to put some structure when I’m playing with my scraps. I think I would be able to with your book.

  22. I love to do all scrappy quilts, right now I’m doing wonky log cabins with my scraps I have done a scrappy string quilt for my nephew it’s one of my favorite

  23. I loved your demo today .this looks like a fun book. I like to make controlled scrappy, not all of the colors, but of only one or two hues.

  24. Love scrappy stars. I followed a scrappy star quilt Sal you did years ago with 9×2.5 centers and the stars. Still have it one of first quilts. My son has become a rose grower and I loved the rose design in the book. I can make a wall hanging for him.

  25. I love scrappy and like to use sampler patterns to use the scraps up. Some years, I select a “block” and use my leftovers from every project to make that block. When I have a pile, I make into a quilt. Always love new ideas!

  26. Happy Anniversary !!! When I do a Scrappy quilt I prefer a controlled Scrappy look. I tend to stick to 1 or 2 colors but I love the look of everyone else’s true Scrappy pieces. I would love a digital copy of the book for my quilt library.

  27. I like to combine scrappy prints with one single color, I have done this with HSTs where one side is mostly black and the other side is whatever leftovers i have. Then sew in rows. Makes an interesting look.

  28. What kind of scrappy quilts I like? For me that is such a hard question to answer. I know I love to use the fabric from previous projects in scrappy quilts. Scrappy quilts is a reminder of past projects I made. I find the rose block of interest in the book.
