  1. String quilt blocks are a fun and easy way to use scraps….. mindless sewing when you need to just relax and sew without thinking too much. Those wonky blocks are fun with bigger scraps as well… either way it’s fun to not have to be extremely accurate and just sew!😊

  2. I love scrappy quilts and they are my main type of quilting. I just pick from left over scraps and go with it.

  3. I love all things scrappy. I’ve made quite a few kitchen sink quilts and sometimes I like controlled scrappy, especially using bright colors and a black background.

  4. I have made several quilts of string blocks. I have had success with patterns that use precuts like the perfect 10 patterns because I cut my leftovers into precuts and sorted by color.

  5. I love the look of scrappy quilts and would love to use up all my scraps. The only problem is my scraps multiply too fast. I need help!!😄 thanks Pat for all you do.❤

  10. I like using jelly roll strip leftovers to make log cabin scrap quilts. I try to keep them as a theme if it is a holiday print roll but if it is just colors, floral, geometrics, and backgrounds then I make it scrappy. What a treat to have a chance to win this book.

  13. I like to mak controlled scrappy quilts, using related color families, and just finished a queen size on in cool colors with 8 inch blocs of 2inch squares. Took a couple years but I made them between other projects.

  17. I love all scrappy quilts, probably because I struggle with picking fabrics – with scraps I usually only have to choose value and/or color. My favorites to make are log cabin blocks though. I make at least one a year.

  25. I make a lot of Bonnie Hunter scrap quilt patterns. Great way to use up those bits and pieces left over from projects.

    The type of scrappy doesn’t really matter, it’s more about the colours and fabrics than anything else 🙂

  28. Hey we. have the same anniversary. I love nine-patch scrappy quilts, and have lots of scrappy 2 1/2 inch squares to make another one. Yippee! then it will be donation to the nearby Bridging community service for rfamilies just starting with a new apartment.

  30. I LOVE my one scrappy log cabin-ish block quilt on the guest bed. Visitors are always caught standing over it and running their hands all over, inspecting all the different imagines on the fabrics!!

  32. I love “controlled” scrappy. I’ve made a bear paw quilt and a granny square quilt that way. I’m also working on scrappy stripped half square triangles for a future quilt.

  33. i love all types of scrappy quilts. I organize my scraps by size losing Bonnie Hunter’s system. Love to dig into my bins to make scrappy blocks and quilts!

  34. I’m pretty much; if it’s scrappy, I like it! There is something about the scrapiness that speaks to me.

  35. I buy kits.. never tackle them. But using scraps is what quilting is all about. When I first started quilting, I had no idea that you went out and purchased fabric. Well, I keep purchasing but would love copy of this book!
