Lebkuchen cookies are the hest!
Yes I went to Germany (Dusseldorf) for a week to visit our daughter who was living there at the time in early 2000’s . My favorite German food is Schnitzel and my Mom’s Hot German Potato Salad. Love the cookies too!

I’ve never been to Germany. I have been to a German heritage town here in Texas, Fredericksburg. There I
was able to enjoy a German meal of sausage, sauerkraut, and potato salad. I especially liked the potato salad.
It was served warm and more delicious than American potato salad.
I love schnitzel and sour cabbage. I also like a German fried cookie that I can’t remember the name.

Many years ago, hubbie and I took a river cruise and visited several German cities. Favorite food is sausage
and cabbage and noodles.

My Dad’s cousin lives in Germany: I always wanted to go visit put life changed and I never did – I’m 77 years old so I don’t think I will make it there- but who knows?? My Grandma used to make cookies when we would come from Ca to IA, they always smelled so good. I never did learn to make them either, but it is a nice memory.

I have only been to a Germany airport for one day. Everyone treated us very nice and were very helpful. It was ha hard, stressful trip.

England. my most favorite food is potato hancakes with warm apple sauce.an pigs in a blanket. My grandmother would send crocks filled withe Christmas food sealed with pure lard that she made herself.My brother was stationed in Germany and sent me a german dress with lederhosen and wooden shoes for my 8the birthday. Grandma also sent german cookis that she made for the holidays………………………………………………………………….dddddd. wht happy memories for a 80 year old quilter. Every girl, when she got married received a quilt that she made. keep on doing what you do best (making people happy) and i will see you next week
No German visits for me but, all the towns where I live are named after German places, Holstein, is my town. Never knew about these cookies until you shared them.

Germany is on my bucket list of places to visit. We do always visit the Germany Pavilion when we go to Epcout. It is my son’s favorite place. We do love schnitzel and my husbands favorite dessert is Black Forest Cake. I would love to try the coolies.
