I am too late to enter, but I wanted to drop by and say how cute these tins are every year! So fun to see the continuing creativity. I always love cookie tins. My elderly neighbor used to give me every gift–food, household, handy little things–in an old cookie have tin she hdad saved over the year. I would then return it with something inside. What a fun tradition we had. I miss her. She would love these.

My favorite cookie is Cowboy Cookies. Made them the last 51 years for my 3 boys. But I love all cookies! I have never had Lebkuchen, so I would love to try them.
Peanut butter blossoms is my holiday favorite, I make dozens of them.

My favorite cookie story is making Italian fig cookies with my kids and grands. It is an old family recipe and an annual tradition in our family!
My grandmother would make date-filled oatmeal cookies for my dad every year for his birthday.
Every year we would make Christmas cutout cookies with our three kids. The recipe I use is from my great grandmother and we decorate with sprinkles rather than frosting. It never failed that every year we would get one or two cookies with about a quarter inch of sprinkle on them. My daughter would always say “but mom, everyone likes sprinkles!”

Making sugar cookies with my mother was always a warm memory of Christmas time. We would decorate with cinnamon sugar. I continued this tradition with my own children and I continue the tradition with my grandchildren
I used to make sugar cookies as a child with my mom cut out in many shapes with the state of Texas my favorite shape and we would call them Texas sugar cookies. My favorite cookie was more of a pastry my Czech mother made kolaches. I loved the poppyseed ones the best. Apricot were also a big favorite.
I love all kinds of cookies! Since I’ve lived at home it’s always been a tradition to bake cookies and make candy for the holidays. It’s a big whole day event. I’ve been married now for 45 years and my children have picked up on the tradition.we are tired at the end of day but enjoy it.
Was in a cookie bake off as a teenager in the state fair of Texas in the 60’s. Didn’t win, but lots of fun. The following year, my cookie was being sold in the Neiman Marcus bakery!

Every year my mom always made gingersnaps for Christmas. The recipe was her mother’s. Shes’s been gone 20 years now and I’ve continued the tradition. Around Thanksgiving my family remind me they are looking forward to grandma’s cookies.
