** FAQ **

  • What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is  18" x 20"
  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
  • What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

***Goodies for Someone!***

Leave me a comment by Jan 11 2022 – 6pm est telling me
"Something you love about Brownies!" (I sure hope you love them but if not… oh well!)

Goodies go to Suzanne Y  who said " I love brownies! I do make both box and from scratch. On special occasions I make Cinnamon Brownies with walnuts and topped with chocolate ganache. I have to run now. Going up to the grand babies but will share the recipe on the cooking group later. Have a great day"

  1. Every brownie is a good brownie but our family favorite is a double brownie with both butterscotch and chocolate marbled together. πŸ™‚

  2. Love brownies, will have to look into the brownie pan! English walnuts are my nut of choice and adding chocolate chips is a great bonus in our household. Love the block and am waiting for the rest of my fabric to come in.

  3. Hello, I am so excited to find your page! I love all sorts of Brownies but I am not suppoesed to eat them..but when I sneak a little it is just like yours! Yes to walnuts. I am a new quilter and recently bought the Accuquilt system. Would I be able to make this with my 8″Qube? I don’t have the 9″ Qube. I know the block will be smaller…just wonderinf if the ratios are the same. I have terrible hand issues so cutting by hand is not a good option. I am looking forward to making your blocks! Thank you for the QAL!

  4. My recipe for the best brownies is … to have someone else make them! All the pleasure and none of the mess. πŸ˜›

  5. Love the new brownie square. Was hoping to use the same fabric as you, however, every were I look the Monstone fabric is not available. What other line would be nice. I am not good at choosing fabrics that go well together. Bundles are pretty much out of my price range, I planned to bite the bullet and buy this line. Now I can not find it anywhere,so what are my next choice?

  6. My family loves fudgy brownies. Here they’re usually homemade and usually with ice cream and homemade hot fudge sauce.

  7. Brownies are a favorite of my sons. I’m the only one that prefers edges. No one else has that preference. Lucky me!!

  8. My grandkids love, love, love brownies! There is a recipe for double fudge brownies that is absolutely delicious! They are a staple in my house!

  9. I never remember to make brownies at home until I see something like this posted. Will whip up a batch today. I like them with extra chocolate chunks added and also toss in some nuts as well.

  10. We love brownies! I always have a box on hand for last minute desserts because it seems that everyone loves brownies! I add mini chocolate chips and walnuts which elevates them out of that box brownie category.

  11. I Love Brownies, A group I belong to knows who to phone for a last minute dessert. Because they are started in one pan on the top of the stove (From Scratch), I can have them mixed and in the oven by the time I’m finished the phone call.

  12. Yummy brownies with walnuts or pecans. These are very rare treats at my house just because we have to keep low sugar intake but couple times a year we have them as greats.

  13. I love brownies! Especially with the chunks of chocolate!!! More the better I say! We get an order of brownies with our pizza, also hot and melty YUM!!!

  14. Chips and nuts rule! I love the edges, so thanks for the tip to the special pan. Brownies are a favorite of mine and my sons favorite too! I love your first pattern and I am going to try to keep up for the first time of one of your fun projects! Lynne Evans

  15. I like brownies and other bar cookies because they are made quicker than individual cookies. And chocolate!

  16. I love brownies! The best part is the edge with a little of the gooey center. My mom bought me an edge pan, like the one you show. It is the best!

  17. What I love about brownies, People make them for all events and no 2 are alike. My favorite are peanut butter swirl. Must be the center slice. MMMMMMM……
Now, I am hungry for one.
    Thank You Pat!
Looking forward to a fun filled year.
    Have a great day,

  18. Brownies are the best! I add a bit of expresso powder and cinnamon. Just enough to give a hint of additional flavor while still being completely chocolate forward. This house is all about the insides so I get to have the edges!

  19. I love brownies cake style! No nuts. Just learning quilting. I got my fabrics together today! Can’t wait to get started!

  20. Happy day Pat, We are a brownie loving family. We try all kinds of varieties. We’ve even found and made black bean brownies for the vegans in our household. They are pretty darn good. We may have to order that special baking pan and give it a try. Love your new sew along and will be hoping on to join it. Thank you for your happy and positive videos. It’s like talking to a friend. May you and Greg stay warm this winter.

  21. I love brownies because they can be a simple dessert to share with family and friends or a fancy dessert for a special occasion. I make a chocolate caramel brownie with caramel pecan ice cream. We’re brownie “edge” peeps in my family, so we have that special pan on hand.

  22. I do love a good brownie! My go to recipe is from an old 70’s Betty Crocker cookbook, four eggs so definitely on the cake side. This looks like a fun quilt along and your fabric choices are beautiful.

  23. love brownies! put anything in them, my personal favorite is triple chocolate pecan brownies. add cutup caramels, pecans and broken chocolate pieces and bake. when they come out of oven wait about 10 minutes then cover with shaved chocolate. They are the bomb!
Thanks for all you do, you’ve been a lifesaver during these trining times. Lots of love your way.

  24. The very best part of brownies are the memories made with my children laughing and just having a good time together.

  25. Brownies are great, but I haven’t made any lately because I’m trying to lose weight.
Tell me how I can have both!

  26. I love making Brownies and I make them alot so im going to have to find your Pan. IMake Brownies for all the kids in my family the love them. They are a big hit at church and bake sales. I also work in A EC class at school and the kids really love them.

  27. I love brownies. Ghiradelli are the best. I prefer pecans over walnuts even though they are good. I might just need to make some soon to go with my hot chocolate.

  28. I love brownies and I love making them. My favorites are turtle brownies to which pecans and caramel are added. Oh my! Oh my!

  29. Love, Love, Love Brownies warm with ice cream topped with chocolate syrup drizzled on top (or Caramel works too)!

  30. I hate to say this but I’m not very good at making brownies, I do however really enjoy them. In fact I think I’m hooked on them because you see , I go to Starbucks every day to get my drink and almost always get one of their brownies, Oh my how good are they

  31. Brownies are always a super treat. My husband needs chunks of walnuts in them whereas my daughter doesn’t like walnuts in the brownies. Warm brownies out of the oven with a cold glass of milk, memories of my childhood.

  32. Brownies are the Best! I also use a box mix but I add homemade cocoa frosting as an added chocolaty bonus. You can never have too much chocolate.

  33. My first time to do this. I am excited to begin even though I am beginning late. Going shopping this weekend for fabric. Want to learn to make the stars.
