** FAQ **

  • What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is  18" x 20"
  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
  • What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

***Goodies for Someone!***

Leave me a comment by Jan 11 2022 – 6pm est telling me
"Something you love about Brownies!" (I sure hope you love them but if not… oh well!)

Goodies go to Suzanne Y  who said " I love brownies! I do make both box and from scratch. On special occasions I make Cinnamon Brownies with walnuts and topped with chocolate ganache. I have to run now. Going up to the grand babies but will share the recipe on the cooking group later. Have a great day"

  1. When I make brownies I also like to make them cake-like. Brownies are not my favorite, my favorite is a Texas Sheet Cake. Thank you Pat for a the time you put in all the projects you share with your viewers.

  2. WE LOVE brownies at our house too! we even occasionally make them instead of cake for birthdays—sooooo good with vanillia ice cream and chocolate syrup, mmmmmm definately going to have to make some πŸ˜‰

  3. Hi Pat,
We make our brownies with almond flour, nuts, dark choc chips, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Or we use peanut butter chips and swirl in peanuts and peanut butter.
Your brownie pan looks interesting but probably hard to wash.

  4. I LOVE brownies and am famous in my neighborhood and family for the ones I make!
Here’s my recipe – it’s so easy I never bother with mixes
    Sue Graham’s Brownies
    1 Cup Butter
4 1-oz. squares of unsweetened Chocolate
    2 Cups Sugar
    4 Eggs
    2 teaspoons Vanilla
    1 Β½ Cups Flour
    1 Cup Chopped Nuts
Melt chocolate and butter in mixing bowl in microwave. Mix in remaining ingredients, mix just until well blended and no lumps – do not beat. Add chopped walnuts or pecans if desired. Pour into buttered 9×13 pan.
Bake at 350* for 25-30 minutes.
Options: Add Β½ to 1 Cup Sour Cream for extra richness. Stir in 1 Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips – yummmm! Instead of mixing nuts into batter press into top of brownies before you bake them – no icing needed. Top with a can of German Chocolate Icing while Brownies are slightly warm
This is a really quick and easy and delicious recipe!

  5. I love brownies and especially with walnuts! I am going to try the box mix you showed in the video if I can find it in Canada.
Thanks for all you do! I enjoy your videos so much!

  6. Love the edge of the brownies. Growing up my sister’s and I would get the corners. There are 4 of us and 4 corners. I need to get that pan, perfect!

  7. I love a rich, chocolate brownie fresh from the oven , either by itself or with some ice cream and fudge syrup for a hot fudge cake. Yum!

  8. Thank you for all you do! Thank you for all the joy and love you bring to the quilting community!! Happy New Year!!

  9. Love brownies with chopped pecans in them. Sometimes like them iced. The chocolate is what grabs me the most.

  10. Oh, I love the ooiey gooiey brownies that you have to lick your fingers after eating so you don’t miss one bite.

  11. We love the Ghiradelli brownie mix and have used for years, it is a big hit. My favorite piece is from the middle!!!

  12. Love the brownie pan. I don’t often make brownies but maybe if I get one of the brownie edge pans, I might be more motivated. And, now I know to use the Ghirardelli mix!
    Thanks, Pat

  13. Ages ago I used to make brownies in the crockpot with lentils as an ingredient. The recipe was lost after my children learned about making Brownies themselves with box mixes! I love walnuts on top.

  14. I love anything chocolate so brownies are one of my favorite treats. I usually put walnuts in mine. Thanks for the beautiful pattern.

  15. i would love to win the goody bag, mostly just so i could say i won something from you! lol. i have already started the clean and purge, i needed it!

  16. I love brownies, as a matter of fact pretty much anything chocolate. The edge pan sounds like a terrific idea as the edge is my favourite part too. I prefer the straight brownie without the extra egg and flour to make it more “caky”. Thanks for this project and I really enjoy your videos. Unfortunately, the timing of your group program is way to early for me on Pacific time!

  17. I love the SMELL of brownies! I love chocolate chips in brownies so they melt in your mouth when they are still warm.

  18. Well Pat, BROWNIES are a favorite of mine. I never turn them down. But if I have the chance I always go for the edges. That being said, I think I must get one of the Edges Pans for my house. Next time we have Brownies everyone will be happy.

  19. My husband and I love brownies!Sometime I love adding an extra egg for more of a cake like brownie and some chocolate chips . Love the edge pieces of the brownies. Brownies are always good anytime of the year Christmas time I like putting mint flavor M&M’s or mint chocolate chips …So yummy !!

  20. I love brownies! We grew up with delicious scratch brownies but have migrated to the mixes. Really like the Ghriardelli mix. Neat pan idea, have not seen that one!

  21. Brownies are the bomb for desserts!! I love them with lots of extra gooey chocolate chips. Ghirardelli is my favorite brownie mix. I add extra milk chocolate chips to it. Sometimes I will add walnuts, but plain is just as good. I love the outsides also, but I haven’t invested in a pan yet. It’s on my gift wish list for the hubby.

  22. I love brownies but no nuts. I also have a pampered chef pan the is all corner pieces πŸ˜ŠπŸ’—

  23. Yes, I love brownies too! I love the gooey kind. I have to use gluten free flour to make them now but still enjoy them. I make regular ones for everyone else though, still very tempting too! Love that first quiltblock too, it’s nearly as good as a yummy brownie!

  24. Who could not love brownies. My husband used to send a batch each month to my daughter and her suite mates when she was in college. He added peppermint patties to them. The girls couldn’t wait for her package to show up! They still are some of my favorites!

  25. I love brownies! Especially warm brownies!!! The best thing about brownies is that they always bring the whole family to the kitchen and inevitably makes wonderful family memories!

  26. I love the middle of the brownies. I like mixes, or sometimes I made amaretto brownies! Very rich and delicious.

  27. Brownies are a family favorite comfort food. I just made the Pillsbury triple chocolate gluten free brownies for my friends daughter. They were delicious and everyone loved them! They may become my go to brownie mix!

  28. I love the crisp edge of brownies, and so love brownies with a ribbon of caramel throughout. Yummy!

  29. Another brownie lover here…and I use the Ghirardelli mix as well. I especially like the edges and am grateful to learn about the edge pan. Going to pick up the pan soon!

  30. I love brownies, with nuts. I loved the ones at starbucks years ago, but they don’t make them anymore. Now I get my brownies at panera. I like them very dark and fudgie.

  31. I love Brownies, especially with pecans or walnuts! They HAVE to be the cake kind though….the fudgy ones make me think of raw batter! ewww
