** FAQ **

  • What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is  18" x 20"
  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
  • What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

"Something you love about Brownies!" (I sure hope you love them but if not… oh well!)

Goodies go to Suzanne Y  who said " I love brownies! I do make both box and from scratch. On special occasions I make Cinnamon Brownies with walnuts and topped with chocolate ganache. I have to run now. Going up to the grand babies but will share the recipe on the cooking group later. Have a great day"

  1. The first block looks wonderful but I would put a dark in the center. The layout looks great! Thanks for your hard work.

  2. We love brownies in our family also. It is my husband’s favorite. Love the colors you chose for you block.

  3. I just love brownies. My favorite is homemade using chocolate syrup and chocolate chips. Yummy and extra gooey. I am excited to start this quilt.

  4. I love cake-like brownies also. I like to frost them. Each day I look forward to watching your video. Thank you so much for doing them. I am still waiting on my color book to arrive to get started on that project.

  5. Brownies YUM!!! I love to make brownies. (I need to get a pan like yours.) ;-D Most of the time I make brownies from scratch. I start by melting butter and adding Hershey’s Special Dark Cocoa powder. The brownies will be extra dark chocolate. Walnuts need to be added when I have them on hand. And after I put the batter into the pan I sprinkle lots of chocolate chips on top. (They will sink down into the batter during the baking process.) Warm brownies straight out of the oven with a big glass of milk. YUM! YUM! YUM!

  6. I love pecans instead of walnuts in my brownies. Love to add just about any ice cream flavor with my brownies warmed in the microwave. Now I am going to have to make a pan today, my mouth is already watering. Lol

  7. I love the edges too! This pan is so nice. I also like to frost the top of my brownies. Real decadence is then cutting up to place in a trifle. I like to use rasberries, lemon curd, and whipped topping after plated. Thank you

  8. Love brownies. I made them yesterday with my granddaughters. They ate them warm with a glass of milk. YUM! My favorite is Triple Chocolate Duncan Hines Mix. I am not a scratch kind of girl. Give me a mix and give me a precut! Thanks for all you do.

  9. I love the triple chocolate Ghirardelli brownies and I add chopped walnuts to the top. I’m interested in the edge pan now! Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win!♥️

  10. Brownie are our family favorite for every gathering! My favorite is the edges of the brownies, so you will see the edges cut out first! Bad influence on the grandchildren!

  11. I like brownies, especially if they are soft. My husband on the other hand, LOVES them and eats at least one every day! Little Debbie or homemade, jazzed up or plain. He’s not picky LoL

  12. I love brownies. I mix approximately 1/4 c. of white granulated sugar, 1/2 c. of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts in a small bowl. I really don’t measure this, I just pour thing in. Mix with a spoon and sprinkle over the brownies before baking. Cool. Cut into serving size pieces and top with whipped cream or artificial cream topping. The one in the spray can makes it look very pretty.

  13. The most decadent brownies I ever had used Bailey’s Irish cream for the liquid in the recipe. But personally, I’ve never met a brownie I didn’t love!

  14. I love hot brownies but not the cake ones. My family loves the fudgy flat brownies, warm with ice cream. And no one likes the edges except me!

  15. Yes brownies is one of my favorite treat. I also make a peanut butter brownie that is loved by my family.

  16. Do I love brownies? Yes. Ghirardelli is also my favorite mix. Must have walnuts. I also have and love The Edge pan. The edges are the best! I was right in line with you until you got to the cake-like variation. The denser and “fudgier”, the better for me. Now I’m off to the kitchen. I must make some brownies.

  17. Love homemade brownies, I put pecans in mine,I like to put icing on mine with more pecans sprinkled on the icing.Carmel icing is the bomb.

  18. I love brownies. I make a batch with Pecans and a batch without Pecans. Reason I make two batches is because one of my sons does not like nuts and a grandson is allergic to nuts. Ooh, love that pan. Adding it to my “gift” list!!

  19. I like brownies but i may be an oddball because i don’t like the edge pieces-give me a middle piece!! yum

  20. I have a love hate relationship with the brownie. I love the edges and I roast the walnuts before I add the to the mix. But I end up throwing out the center portion because it’s not crispy. So now I will have to purchase the edge pan.

  21. Yummmm, brownies with lots of walnuts. I especially like the crackly thin crust on top of the brownies. I am going to have to try the extra egg idea too. Thank you for the sweet dreams and memories.

  22. I love brownies! Is it wrong to want one for breakfast? I prefer pecans but since the kids never liked nuts I usually made plain ones. Now that they are grown I can go wild and add pecans! Gotta go check the pantry for a mix!!

  23. I love brownies, especially the edges, with chocolate chips or without, with nuts or without. I may need that pan!

  24. We love brownies!!! I make a “Nebraska” sheet cake brownie in my Pampered Chef Bar Pan – comes out perfect every time! (NO NUTS for this girl!) My granny always made a pan that was 1/2 side with nuts and 1/2 side without – can you say I was a little spoiled by her!

  25. I LOVE brownies! I used to make from scratch but the mixes are much better now than I could make.and I saved time. More time for sewing 😊. I like nuts in them and I like to use milk choc canned icing on them too. Sooooo good. I look forward to this QAL a d I thank you for being such a positive ray of sunshine each morning. God bless you, Have a great day.

  26. I love brownies. I make them from scratch. I can’t wait to make my brownie block today when I get home from work.

  27. Love Brownies! No nuts. I use a recipe from BraveTart that starts with 3 sticks of butter. It makes them fudgy and crinkly and all sorts of goodness that I now feel like I must have.

  28. My favorite brownies were the ones my mom used to make, two sweet memories, she would make a jelly roll pan and frost them, that meant we were going to the lake cabin for the weekend! Oh I miss my mom’s brownies!❤️

  29. My husband loves brownies! I use a recipe I found on Pinterest called Lunch Lady Brownies they are so easy. 😊

  30. Like brownie would like to try the Ghiradelli mix. No nuts. I like that pan. I haven’t made them in a while. I need to make them.

  31. I have been using a recipe that I saved since 1978 It has been a never fail brownie recipe that was Lauren Tewes (from the Love Boat show). They are so moist in the middle and a little bit crunchy on the edges. I also add a half bag of mini chocolate chips in the batter and sprinkle the rest of the bag on top. Yum Yum!

  32. I love brownies!! I’m more of a gooey brownie person. but my husband would love that edge pan. I think my favorite way to make brownies is with caramel bits in them!

  33. My family have food allergies, so I don’t bake them.
I cheat and buy one from the bakery. Yum yum!!!

  34. Brownies are my all-time favorite dessert. I love to make them with my grand children and I tell them that I put a secret ingredient in. They look at me and try to figure it out and then I tell them it’s grandmas love. I enjoy baking them with the children as they get so much joy from it and of course they each had to dip a finger in and take a bite before they put them in our pants to bake. This was just how our mother did it. And yes the hands are washed before they dip. They make great Desert for picnics. I prefer the dark chocolate.

  35. I like the cake version of brownies. Edges or middle, doesn’t matter, it’s all good to me. Walnuts are a must! Your block turned out beautifully. I’ve never seen a pan like that for brownies. Interesting! TFS 😊

  36. I love EVERYTHING about brownies. Actually probably too much! Well, maybe not those with marshmallows…..

  37. I love brownies! I do make both box and from scratch. On special occasions I make Cinnamon Brownies with walnuts and topped with chocolate ganache. I have to run now. Going up to the grand babies but will share the recipe on the cooking group later. Have a great day

  38. Brownies are a favorite here!! The recipe is one my husband learned to make in home economics in junior high school. It’s more of a cake consistency too. We love it with walnuts or pecans. I just might have to get one of those pans!!!!

  39. Brownies have always been a big favorite of mine. I love all kinds. But I usually stick with walnut brownies because they’re simple and easy to make.
