** FAQ **
- What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is 18" x 20"
- Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
- Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes! Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
- Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
- Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
- What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
- NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block. I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic. That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

***Fabric I'm using***
You do not have to use the same fabric as me. You can use any fabric you like, I want this to be a quilt you love!

***Goodies for Someone!***
Goodies go to Suzanne Y who said " I love brownies! I do make both box and from scratch. On special occasions I make Cinnamon Brownies with walnuts and topped with chocolate ganache. I have to run now. Going up to the grand babies but will share the recipe on the cooking group later. Have a great day"

I also love brownies and the Ghirardelli mixes are the best. We grew up with cake type brownies so those are my favorite with a big glass of milk. I also make a from scratch brownie using Katherine Hepburn’s recipe. It is written exactly like she talked so when I make it I can hear her voice in my head.
I love chocolate brownies. One of my favorites is the turtle brownies with nuts and Carmel added. Currently I tend to make blonde brownies with chocolate chips.
What I love most about brownies beside their ooey gooey goodness, is that they make people happy to receive one…. and who doesn’t love happy people!!!
I love brownies, but I like the chewy centers best.
I like brownies but I must have gluten free so normally not a box mix. I am not picky about needing the edges, the chewy center is just fine. The brownies can be plain or dressed up!
I love the corners and edges for the crunchier texture and my husband prefers the middles, not that I turn the middles down either :). We can plow through a pan quite quickly. Reminds me of Jack Spratt and his wife!
Ooops – I wrote red chile in error (living in New Mexico we put red chile in almost everything). I meant a pinch of cayenne pepper. Of course, red chile powder would give it a New Mexican flavor – still delicious. Never met a brownie i didn’t like.
This block is really pretty. I really love the fabric line as well.
I have put See’s dark chocolate caramel Pattie’s in the middle of the brownie batter (1/2 batter in the pan, place the caramel patties on top and then the rest of the batter. I’ve added marshmallows and a myriad of other things. Although I don’t care for brownies, I make them for my husband as he loves them.
Brownies are one of my favorite treats because they are so chewy, chocolate, and delicious. I learn a lot from your videos and you are a special quilting friend.
I love brownies and cook them often. All my family loves them.
Hi Pat I love brownies, but I’m the only one in my family that likes them. I’ll have to make some and freeze the rest. I would love to win this fabric. I’m going to try and do your blocks this year. Have a safe and warm night. It a little cold here in Michigan
Brownies are a huge win at Girl Guide camp. Our older girls take great delight in cooking scrambled brownies to share with the younger girls. Just follow the recipe, but instead of making in the oven, scramble them up in a pot on top of the camp stove. Yummy!
What I love about brownies? Seriously? That are fat-free, of course….NOT! Lol…
I love Carmel and walnuts in my brownies
As a Mom of six and now a Grandma of five- brownies are a necessity in our house- nothing like a Grandbaby curled up under
a warm quilt munching away on homemade goodies. Thank you so much for your wonderful site and all the tips for improving my quilting. And now I think I’ve been inspired to make some brownies!
Brownies are so easy to make, especially when you use a packet mix and add in your own special ingredients. They were always my go to treat to make for work colleagues and there were never any left overs at the end of the shift.
Everybody in the family seems to love brownies but possibly not in the traditional way you’re thinking. Some of them love the regular traditional brownies with walnuts, some of them prefer pecans or almonds, some of them prefer blondies because they have chocolate allergy (bless them), we’ve even got one person that prefers white chocolate chips instead of chocolate chips in the batter. So when we make batches of brownies, two or three of us are making separate bowls of batter to please the crowd. It’s really kind of fun because it’s somewhat of a tradition that we have a plate full of all kinds of brownies for the family to enjoy. Got to have Traditions right!
I love chewy brownies and add extra chips and walnuts.
I use the same brand of brownies you do but I get the giant box at Costco. They are the best!
Love the block and that pan is genius except all my family members (NOT ME) fight over the gooey center pieces – what a bunch of weirdos! ;-). Thanks for the opportunity and the continued inspiration
I love brownies without nuts but only bake them when the grandkids are coming to visit.
My favorite brownies are French Mint Cream Brownies. Brownie layer is made with Hershey Syrup. Then a layer of mint green frosting, topped with melted chocolate chips. A must try if you like mint. This recipe is a little more work, but so worth it!
Enjoy your videos and quilt along’s. Made my first one with you when the pandemic started and did the 30 day quilt in April 2020.
I love the gooey centers of the brownies. Don’t care for nuts, do add some chocolate chips, don’t mind box mixes. Do love blonde brownies and we have a homemade recipe we’ve used for like 50 years to make them.
I love warm brownies with ice cream… I don’t care for nuts in mine.. but I do put m&m’s in them.
Greetings from south Alabama. My family loves brownies also. Must have lots of pecans!! New to your videos. First time to enter gift drawing.
I love brownies, and I like them just like you do ! Cake like, with walnuts, or if I can’t find walnuts, then pecans. There is a local pizza place that sells them just this way, except with frosting. Yum!
So excited to try new things.
Mmmm Brownies! Haven’t had any in a long while! Time to start cookin’! I do love walnuts in them! Brownies have saved me from more diets than you can shake a stick at! I remember one dreadful grapefruit and boiled egg diet I was on. I forget how long I tortured myself, but I was in junior college. And one day on my lunch break, the brownies in the vending machine were calling my name! I forget how many packs of them I ate, but the diet went kaput!!! LOL I really want to participate in the sew along, but I can’t afford the fabric right now. I’ve been wanting to do a purple quilt, and have some odds and ends in purple, it really doesn’t say “brownie” though. Could I make it work?
I love brownies. Always add nuts and a bit of cinnamon as it bumps upbumpsup chocolate flavor!!
I love everything about brownies. The fudgey ones are better than the cakey ones. I like nuts in them, but the hubs does not so I make both, and both use mixes or make homemade. Although I do like “blondies”, chocolate brownies are my fav’.
Hi Pat – I love making brownies too… my favourite I’d chocolate with extra chocolate chips and fresh raspberries carefully stirred into the mix just before baking – absolutely delicious!!! 😀😀😀
Ghiradelli mix is my favorite. I like the cake-like brownies but not a fan of any nuts.
I love brownies! I usually just make a mix, but will try adding ingredients like yours next time. Thanks for sharing!
brownies with walnuts are the best! and, i agree with you i don’t like the tiny pieces of nuts
Not a real fan of brownies but if I have them love the edges the best. Looking forward to Sweet Dreams quilt. Always enjoy your videos and all your tips.
I love the chocolate goodness! Love brownies with chocolate chips to bite into and pecans! Oh so good with vanilla ice cream.
I like chewy brownies!!
Brownies are my families go to as well! My secret is the same brownie mix as you but I add Blood orange oil ~ YUM! I do not like nuts in my food my I am sure my family would love yours!!! I think I need to ask for that pan for my birthday in July. Thank you for coming into my life!!!!
I love brownies! Don’t tolerate walnuts so sometimes use pecans instead. The brownie pan divided into squares is awesome!
I love brownies while they’re still a little hot and won’t hold together.
the corners are the best and then the edges
Love brownies. Thank you for the pan tip
I love the cake type Brownie with nuts of course. I have never seen a pan like you have. What a great idea. Must look into that. Thanks Pat. I was a brownie leader for 15 years . maybe my love of cake rubbed off haha.
I Love brownies, not a fan of walnuts though. I put chocolate chunks and macadamia nuts in mine. Love the tin.
Who doesn’t love brownies??!! I sometimes make them from scratch and if I do, I use Ina Garten’s (Barefoot Contessa) recipe…they are AMAZING! When I make them using a box mix, I use coffee instead of water…it really enhances the chocolate flavor. I think the key is to not over bake.
I love any dessert with chocolate! Brownies need to be fudgy with nuts at this house plus I like to cut a square from the middle. Thanks for another great block!
That pan looks great, but my family likes the inside pieces!
I love brownies but not by themselves. The best is with Peppermint ice cream 😋
Brownies are one of my favorite sweets, after all they are a form of chocolate. I prefer mine plain, and personally I prefer a one that does not have the crusty edge (sacrilege?) They are delicious served warm with a scoop of ice cream melting on top.
my boys say they have never met a brownie they didn’t like. Hubby isn’t fond of walnuts but is okay with pecans. they do like the edges so I ordered the pan. Quite the enabler Pat. In my youth I made from scratch brownies using hershey’s syrup and a chocolate chip fudge like frosting. Now mixes make it fast and easy to have dessert ready anytime. Ghiardelli is great but I use any name brand sale mix too. So easy to jazz it up if need be.
