** FAQ **
- What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is 18" x 20"
- Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
- Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes! Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
- Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
- Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
- What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
- NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block. I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic. That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

***Fabric I'm using***
You do not have to use the same fabric as me. You can use any fabric you like, I want this to be a quilt you love!

***Goodies for Someone!***
Goodies go to Suzanne Y who said " I love brownies! I do make both box and from scratch. On special occasions I make Cinnamon Brownies with walnuts and topped with chocolate ganache. I have to run now. Going up to the grand babies but will share the recipe on the cooking group later. Have a great day"

I love cake like brownies. I use a recipe that makes a 8×8 pan. It’s just the right amount for 2 people for a few days!
I love the ghiradelie chocolate brownies too with walnuts and extra dark chocolate chips added to them. They are my favorite dessert.
Love those boxes of brownies! Always add an extra egg, coconut, and a bit of chili powder to give it a boost!
Brownie mug cake so I can have just a little
Love brownies but my family prefers no edges! Just the soft center part!
Brownies are my favorite, too. All chewy and warm with a crunch of walnuts, it goes best with coffee, milk and even a rich red wine. I don’t frost them, but my niece has a killer frosting recipe to make them over the top. That small bag is adorable and has a ton of uses.
Our house loves the brownie recipe that my mom used to make by mixing it on the stovetop. The texture is a more of a cakelike brownie. They go super fast, whenever they are made.
Brownies are the best – even better if nuts are added!
I love chewy edge brownies but NO NUTS , please !!!
My favorite recipe is Pillsbury chewy brownies box mix !!!
I always fix brownies for our family bonfires. Brownies are so portable and so easy to eat by the fire.
I have made cookies, brownies, muffins, etc. for years for our local fire fighters. One day when I was delivering a batch of brownies, the fire fighter asked me why the corner brownies were always missing from my deliveries. I said because the best brownies are the center ones so I brought the best ones to all of you. No…the best ones are the corner brownies he told me! He said why are they always so light like cake instead of fudgy. I said the best brownie is a center cut brownie that is light. No…the best brownies are fudgy and corner ones he told me! He thought that I was keeping the best brownies for myself and I thought I was bringing the best brownies for them to enjoy! We had a chuckle and I learned my lesson! I started bringing all the corners and edges of fudgy brownies (plus the softer ones) to the fire fighters and they were happy campers! LOL
I’m allergic to chocolate so I prefer a blonde and a slice from the middle. Who knew that an edge pan existed.
Ooo, brownies! Chocolate fudge. Cake- like. Nuts or no nuts,ok. Chocolate chips! Ghirardelli! Yes!!! Now I’m craving them. Thanks, Pat!
Brownies are the best dessert that I can eat. Unfortunately I am not supposed to eat them anymore. Being diabetic I haven’t found a good low carb, low sugar recipe. If you know of one let me know and I will try it. I miss brownies.
Our family likes brownies too. I think my SIL makes them from scratch, not sure I’ve never watched her. I use a mix, I must look for the brand you use, they have great chocolate. I like to add pecans to mine.
Brownies are the BEST! Especially my MOM’S recipe that calls for 1 lb. of Hershey syrup. DELICIOUS!!!
Love brownies especially with vanilla ice cream, yummy
Our family loves brownies also. Grandson especially loves when his Mom makes them. She loves to make from scratch. What do you think, chocolate icing or plain??? I think brownies are delicious both ways.
Fudge Brownie are my favorite! Really need that pan, no more fighting over the edge pieces. Now I gonna be thinking about brownies till I make some…
Love all kinds of brownies! When I first started working – back in the 70’s – there was a place called Kings that you called in your order at your table. They had the best brownies topped with ice cream and chocolate syrup!!! yummy! Was probably my first encounter with brownies – I was sold!!!!! Came from the country to the big city!!!!!
I love chewy brownies
Hi Pat thank you for the brownie recipe. Looks delish. I printed the block. It will be fun to make. Carmen
I like brownies warmed up with chocolate sauce otherwise I’m not keen on them but my husband loves them!
I love brownies to much, can’t say I have a favourite recipe as I enjoy experimenting and trying new recipes. Love your pan idea. Can’t wait to work on the quilt, thanks for such great inspiration
I love brownies with soft centers and crispy edges and I like to stir in Butterfinger pieces in my brownies very good.
I too use brownie mix, they are so yummy and easy, found mint chocolate chip and it smells Devine when baking but even better when eating.
I’m not very skilled at baking, but I love the little two bite brownies from the grocery store. My secret is to microwave them for just a few seconds at a time until they get warm and gooey, then I have a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on the side. If they’re a bit dry then the ice cream helps make up for that too!
My family love the butterscotch brownies my aunt made. We are all glad she shared the recipe. A few odd members like them plain but they are much better with pecans. Willing to share recipe if anyone wants it.
I have to keep Brownies out of my house! If I make a batch, then I’m tempted to eat The Whole Thing! Love, love love Brownies in any way shape or form!
Now I see you are suppose to actually say something about brownies! They aren’t actually my thing, but should that leave me out of the running – I think not! On New Years one of my daughters brought two bite brownies over and my two youngest grandchildren loaded up their plates leaving three for the rest of the family! Needless to say they were frowned upon! I now realize that I should find a wonderful brownie recipe to keep the little ones happy! Happy New Years and lets get sewing!

Brownies are the BEST
Oh we LOVE Brownies. Especially my husband Richard. He likes the chocolate the best with chocolate chips and with or without nuts. And he LOVE them in a fudgy baked style as well. Good Luck all in the contest and Happy New Year to all. Beth Landon bak@gmail.com
I love very dense rich brownie recipes. Center cuts only! Yum!
Loved brownies as a kid, but I like the Middle, not the edges. Love nuts in them, walnuts or pecans..Yummy!
We love brownies. I made them when my children were little, but I cut off the edges because I thought these were the “hard or overcooked” part! I had no idea that the kids would like this part, and now I see you have a special pan just for the edges! That is so funny. Thank you Pat Sloan for being such a fabulous person. Thank you for beginning another great quilt along!
I always love brownies, especially the crust. My neighbor was having free items after selling her catering business. I got a free brownie pan that has rectangles. So each individual brownie has a crust! Can’t wait to try it.
Brownies!!!! My mom made the best ones! She still does at age 92! I love them frosted and dense! No nuts! Chocolate….yummy. Now I feel I need to go make some…. Never mind resolutions…😂🥳
I did a sew along with you in the summer and loved it – and actually finished it! Ready to start again, so excited.
Brownies are one of my favorite deserts. I like them chewy and the edge pieces are the best.
I just discovered Brownie Brittle–I love the crisp edges and this makes a whole sheet of my favorite part. Yum. This is causing my to break my New Year’s Resolution and make some–me bad!!!
Love brownies with lots of walnuts and chocolate chips. And warm from the oven and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. My families very favorite!!!
I love brownies, especially with walnuts. This was probably the first recipe I learned to make as a child!
Brownies are a favorite with my family too. We like them gooey. I also use the same brand brownie mix. Love the block for the day. Can’t wait to try it.
Brownies are the best especially when the edges are crunchy and the middle is gooey. I dont put nuts in my brownies but would still eat them even if there were nuts in them.
Brownies are a favorite on family dinner night. I prefer milk chocolate but we do add chocolate chips and usually frost them too. Grandkids fight over edges and corners. My daughter has a pan like yours.
I love brownies. I always use a mix and like to add pecans or chocolate chips and use a Pampered Chef pan that makes them in squares so each one has four edges. have to have that chocolate fix.
I love brownies. My recipe has a rich frosting on it, made with sugar, evaporated milk, butter and melted chocolate chips. The brownie is similar to a Texas sheet cake. I love adding walnuts, but not everyone in my family likes walnuts, so I usually only add them to 1/2 of the pan.
Thank you for the new block information. It is very pretty.
our family loves same brand brownies. I love the idea of adding walnuts. I usually spread marshmallows on top, put under broiler for a very short time, add icing on top of marshmallows after cooled. yummy!
We love brownie! I make them with pecans, but now I will try with walnuts. I also use the Ghirardelli’s mix! It’s really good! I fashion my own ‘all edges ‘ pan using foil and cardboard. It works!!
If you cut brownies with a plastic knife then you won’t have any brownie sticking to the knife! Game changer for sure!
