** FAQ **
- What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is 18" x 20"
- Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
- Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes! Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
- Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
- Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
- What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
- NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block. I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic. That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

***Fabric I'm using***
You do not have to use the same fabric as me. You can use any fabric you like, I want this to be a quilt you love!

***Goodies for Someone!***
Goodies go to Suzanne Y who said " I love brownies! I do make both box and from scratch. On special occasions I make Cinnamon Brownies with walnuts and topped with chocolate ganache. I have to run now. Going up to the grand babies but will share the recipe on the cooking group later. Have a great day"

Love brownies! Especially love those with lots of pecans and chocolate chips!
Never saw a brownie pan like your family uses…..:)
Jean
Brownies are the best! I use a Fannie Farmer recipe and add extra chocolate-always a hit. Thanks for your daily videos and upbeat personality. I start my day with you…Lura
DID YOU SAY BROWNIES!!!!!!! OMG. I made them for Christmas with giardelli cocoa and they were soooo awesome. Everyone loved them( more than usual) lol I think a brownie block would be so much fun in an all dessert quilt or table runner for Valentineโs Day. Think Iโll give it a try. Love love your videos and energy (must be from brownies). Thanks for giving us all a great new year to think about๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ please send fabic( hint)
I like making the fudge brownies vs the cake-like brownies. Must have nut and chocolate chips!
I like to add chocolate and peanut butter chips to my brownie mix, yum! Your first block is so sweet!
Brownies of any type are high on our snack list. I usually have to make a triple batch to be able to get a taste. If it is chocolate it is devoured.
I love brownies. Easy snack to travel with move around while doing things. I like to frost mine with German chocolate frosting. The addition of coconut and finely chopped walnuts is wonderful. Makes it like a little cake.
Homemade with Hershey’s syrup is our family favorite, I like to mix it up with homemade frosting or caramel and nuts in my half. I have found that the Hershey’s syrup in the can is no longer available in our area so I have had to rely on the squeeze bottle.
I love the powdered sugar sprinkled on top and biting into a warm brownie is the best!!
Happy New Year Pat!!!
Brownies are the best and I’m not even a big fan of chocolate. Love them with nuts, but not with chocolate chips. I may share the brownies that I bake, but keep the corner pieces for myself
I love brownies! Must have walnuts and crispy edges. My sister and I used to fight over the corners and edges.
I love to add a layer of candy bars in the middle of the brownie batter (Caramello is the best!!). My friends and i survived on brownies during my college days!!
I love brownies and always use a Ghirardelli mix. Used to add nuts, but too many people have allergies now. My scratch recipe is a brownie base with a minty cream cheese/sugar layer topped with ganache. A special treat.
What is not to love about brownies! All that chocolately goodness and nuts -Yum! A blessed and Happy New Year to you . Thanks for all you do in the quilting world.
I love brownies with chocolate chips! My husband makes them much better than I do. I always seem to bake them too long. Love this 1st block. The fabrics are beautiful!
My family loves brownies! I love to enhance a box mix with whatever extra goodies I have in my pantry. I have added chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, mini Reeses peanut butter cups, walnuts, M&Ms or any combination. They are always a treat and a surprise for dessert.
I love brownies. I donโt usually do nuts in them.
I love brownies almost as much as I love cookies! I have a favorite recipe that my family likes that has a layer of chocolate chips and a layer of caramel in the middle. Walnuts or pecans optional.
I do love brownies. I now have LADA (managed as Type 1 Diabetes), so one of these cold Iowa days I will try out recipes that are diabetic friendly.
My favorite brownies are those with German chocolate icing. My second Favorite are a combination chocolate chip cookie and brownie mixed. I called those pity brownies, They are my go to Sweet thing when I need a pick me up.
Love brownies with walnuts and salted caramelโฆedges only for me – so would love such a pan!
Love brownies. Like to add chocolate chips and nuts. Do like to add some ice cream and hot fudge. My daughter has one of the all edge brownie pans and they are chewy.
Not a big fan of chocolate, but the rest of the family is. They fight over the edge peices, so that pan is a must get! Thanks for sharing. I have just been loving the daily videos, especially when you share your process for fabric selection. So, I’ll get the Moonstone fabric for me, and the brownie pan for them, seems fair, right?!
I love all things brownies. Sides and centers. I have a friend who ices the brownies, while in the pan, with thick gooey chocolate icing. That ruins the brownie in my mind. I can understand why brownies are your family’s favorite.
I love brownies now but as a child I didnโt enjoy them at all! I love them fresh out of the oven with melty chocolate chips..MMM! Thank you for your inspiring YouTube videos! Iโm making the Woodland Wonderland quilt along with you for my 8 year old daughter. Such a fun & beautiful quilt!
Love brownies and I buy the ghidelli ones as well. I add walnuts if the ones i buy don’t have them
What is there not to like about Brownies? I love the ooey gooey chocolate and I really love walnuts in mine. The whole time my daughter was growing up and I would be someplace and see brownies that looked great. So I would buy one for me and one for her. We would be headed down the road and she would start to eat them and then would holler “Oh Ma!!!!!”. Then it would hit me that there were nuts in them and she didn’t like nuts in anything and still doesn’t today. When she went to college, I went back to putting nuts in my brownies ๐
Brownies are my favorite go-to dessert: chewy, chocolate, moist – what’s not to love! Whether plain, frosted or with chips they are all yummy!
I love a warm brownie with a scoop vanilla ice cream on top. My mouth is watering! ๐
I love brownies and my grandkids think I should have them all the time when they are at my house.
Love, Love, Love Brownies. They are the best for a deep chocolate fix! I especially love them right out of the oven with vanilla ice cream!
We loved brownies with walnuts and caramels added to them.
I love brownies with walnuts and the edges! Thank you for your sew alongs!
I love brownies with or without chocolate chips, crisp outside or the soft chewy inside.
I could eat them day or night.
Hi Pat, I love brownies! I use a box mix also, usually Giardelli, I think they are just richer in taste. If I’m going to be bad and eat brownies, I might as well do it right! My husband and I like walnuts in ours, but if the grandkids are coming – that’s a “NO, NO!”
The best thing about brownies is that when you take them anywhere, people are always very happy!!Plus they are yummy.
I love Brownies with walnutsโฆ
Iโm not sure if Iโm doing this comment correctly Iโm Tec challenged ๐
Our family favorite of brownies is with chocolate chips. I’m making them tonight.
Thank you, Pat, for sharing your talents with us! I love desserts! My story is when my sister and I were little in โ58/โ59, my mom was making brownies from scratch. She somehow made too much dough. She poured the first amount in the baking pan, and then we all sat down on the floor and ate the little bit that was leftover! I knowโฆI knowโฆI knowโฆyouโre not suppose to eat stuff with raw egg in them!!! But, we lived! And she made them without nuts! And after the brownies came out of the oven and cooled, she would put fudge frosting on them! Sooo yummy! We love you, Pat!
Brownies from a gluten free mix for me, no nuts in mine please ๐
Am I the only one who has never had a brownie?
We love brownies at my house! Pecans in them and I like them fudgy! Thank you Pat for being a inspiration I absolutely love all your patterns Iโve made so far and canโt wait to start this one!
We love brownies too. My husband likes the harder edges and my daughter likes the softer centers — while I like them all. We love the Ghirradeli mix too, but also make from scratch. Sometimes instead of adding vanilla, we’ll use mint extract — which is yum! especially if you add chocolate chips in the mix.
Brownies are kind of my favorites and my grandkids favorite!! Iโm going to have to check for that pan! I especially love the edges!!!!
My husband and I love brownies. I like them warm with a scoop of ice cream and caramel sauce, whipped cream.
I have not made any homemade very often, the boxed mixes are so good now.
I love brownies but don’t make them very often. All this talk makes me think it would be a good snowy/icy day treat. Thanks for your generosity. I love your videos and teaching.
Love brownie! Especially with cashews and caramel bits added. My family uses the recipe from my husband’s grandmother, full of yummy butter and cocoa powder.
I love brownies but I’m pretty sure they don’t love me. Just went to the doctor today and I’ve gained 10 pounds already this winter. But I do love them and love to put walnut and peppermint bits on top!
Brownies, the easiest sweets too make! I love Brownies, the โworldโ loves Brownies! The pan above looks like a โmust haveโ
I love to make my own brownies, thick and chewy with walnuts in them. No icing needed!
