** FAQ **
- What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is 18" x 20"
- Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
- Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes! Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
- Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
- Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
- What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
- NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block. I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic. That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

***Fabric I'm using***
You do not have to use the same fabric as me. You can use any fabric you like, I want this to be a quilt you love!

***Goodies for Someone!***
Goodies go to Suzanne Y who said " I love brownies! I do make both box and from scratch. On special occasions I make Cinnamon Brownies with walnuts and topped with chocolate ganache. I have to run now. Going up to the grand babies but will share the recipe on the cooking group later. Have a great day"

what a sweeeeet block!
I love the Turtle brownies – yum- gooey caramel and pecans! Brownie mixes are better than from scratch, in my opinion. Thanks for the opportunity!
Hi Pat, I love brownies especially with walnuts, but of course I eat any type. At potlucks, it is my favorite to check out. I watch you daily for years and you spur me to continue my volunteer quilting for hospice patients. Love, Becky
I love brownies, especially that inside piece with no crunchy edge. For something different try dried and slightly ground lavender flowers added to the brownie mix.
I too LOVE brownies! Walnuts are good also. Spot on with the Ghiradelli mix!
Brownies are my favorite desert. I love them with pecans or just plain but I always put chocolate icing on them.
Love making brownies, havenβt made them for 2 1/2 months as we are having renovations done and no kitchen for another two months. First thing I will make in our new kitchen is snowflake brownies.
Hey, of coarse I LOVE BROWNIES β£οΈ Yes YES on walnuts! I say Brownies for breakfast after all thereβs milk & eggs in there.
I love Ghiradelli’s brownies! I buy the kind with the chocolate chips and then add some dark chocolate and milk chocolate chips so it’s really “chippy”. I have the brownie pan you can divide into squares…doesn’t work so well but I often just cut them myself. If the grandkids are around, they are gone in minutes! The giveaway looks awesome and I want to thank you for doing it as well as all the sew/quilt alongs you do! I’m working on the first block today!
Hi Pat,
I love to watch you on YouTube! I love brownies of all kinds. My favorite are German Chocolate Cake brownies. The pecan coconut frosting is hard to pass upβyum! If Iβm thinking of brownies in a general sense, I like the inside pieces, while my husband likes the edge pieces. In the end, I have 4 boys. The brownies never last long at our house anyway!
I do have a question though, does a layer cake have enough fabric to make the blocks for this quilt?
Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us,
Julie
I LOVE Brownies! They are my favorite dessert. I don’t even mind making them from scratch. I also think that the Ghiradelli is the best mix, though. My mom made me dinner for my birthday a couple of years ago and she had cheesecake for dessert which really surprised me since I almost always serve brownies as my dessert.
I like mint chips in my brownies with ice cream.
Anything chocolate for me. What a quick treat! To make them special I make a thinned out peanut butter icing and drizzle on top when they are cooled! So Yummy!
I love brownies and chocolate chip cookies. I use the Ghiradeli brownie mix. It is so good and works every time!!!! I love brownies so much that walnuts or pecans or no nuts work for me!
Love to add more chocolate chips and pecans to Ghiaradelli box mix. Chewy brownies are the best!
I love browniesβ¦..the owie gooie chewy chocolatey yummy π dessert
annerauchenstein@gmail.com
I like gooey brownies with Andes mint chips in them. My husband and I are a good pair because he prefers the edges and I love the middle!
I love brownies. Try putting a rolo candy in each one when baking. Yum
I like my brownies with nuts (either walnuts or pecans) and more gooey than cakey.
I love the inside brownies and ones that have pecans. In fact I usually cut the edge off so everyone has inside brownies and NOT edge ones. Crazy I know.
Because I have a diabetic hubby, I have to make sugar free brownies! But they are just as tasty and we love walnuts in ours, but sometimes I have to omit the nuts, because the grands donβt want them. And you donβt want the extra mess made by them picking the nuts out!
Brownies are one of may favorite desserts! I love them any way I can get them!
Brownies are the best! I like to melt peanut butter and swirl it into the pan before I bake them
I sent the message to the wrong place!!!!
We put pecans in our brownies. I really enjoy
the quilt alongs. Gives me something to look forward to each week
A nice warm brownie with ice cream and cup of coffee would taste good right anout now….yummmm
Now I am hungry for brownies dipped in powdered sugar. Guess I am heading to the store!
I love brownies and mine always have to have the chocolate chips (if it’s not in the mix, I always add them!) I prefer to have the center pieces rather than the edges. They’re my favorite dessert.
I love brownies too! Nuts and chocolate chips are a favorite and then powders sugar sprinkled on top. Yum! Thank you Pat for fun sew along. Looking forward to the rest of the sweets.
I can’t believe you talked about my FAVORITE desert on the day I’m prepping for a colonoscopy! Ugh! I love the edge brownie pan. I have one with three separate channels. My favorite pieces are the ends with three crunchy sides! I always use nuts. I used to use pecans but now use walnuts. Pecans have more fat and the walnuts have more vitamins and minerals (ha! like that makes the brownies healthier!). Thank you for your enthusiasm Pat! Blair
My husband has celiac so we go gluten free so we get GF mixes which are good and you canβt the difference. Edges or no edges are good, it is all chocolate!
Pat, I couldnβt think of 1 thing about brownies because I love
EVERY THING about them.
The chocolate, with or without nuts,
With or without icing. They are the best!!
I use the same mix and I add coffee instead of water and lots of chunky walnuts and chocolate chips and I cook them a little on the longer side we love crunchy edges. Happy new year. β€οΈ
We love brownies at our house. My mom swirls peanut butter in her brownies before she puts them in the oven π they are so yummy
Deep, deep, dark chocolate! Gooey and moist! Enough to share! Sometimes with cream cheese frosting! That is how I like my brownies!
My daughter doctored some brownies once by tossing butterscotch chips on top before putting the pan in the oven. It’s now a family favorite!
Chocolate brownies with pecan pieces. I also use a box mix. Sometimes I add a spoonfuls of peanut butter for a change, just swirl in pan.
Brownies are my go to to bring to someones house. I make them from scratch. I keep BAKER’S Unsweetened Baking Chocolate squares at all times in my pantry. Their One Bowl Brownies are the best! Recipe on the back of the box. I have the rest of the ingredients, butter, flour, sugar, eggs, vanilla always on hand. Depending on who I am making them for I most always use chocolate chips and not nuts. I have used mint chocolate chips which are SO good!!! I never mix the chocolate chips in the mix. I find that they always come out better if you sprinkle them on top of the batter before baking instead. AND my secret ingredient; Hershey’s chocolate syrup (the kind you make chocolate milk with). After I mix all the ingredients, I just squeeze a GENEROUS amount into the batter and mix it in. They are well talked about brownies. If you have never made Baker’s One Bowl Brownies I would highly suggest it!! You may never go back to a box mix! Also, one sad note is that I have become lactose and gluten intolerant so I only make them to give away and I must confess I do eat a leftover brownie once in a while!! Another secret ingredient is to put chocolate frosting (from a can) on top of the brownies right when they get out of the oven and sprinkle with mini marshmallows and graham cracker crumbs (bigger pieces). You do have to wait until they cool completely before cutting though. They are crazy sweet but AMAZING!!!!! HAPPY BROWNIE BAKING!!!!!
I love brownies, especially warmed up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream crowning the top!
CHOCOLATE is the top reason I love brownies.
I also love the gooey center pieces.
I love Soft chewy brownies. I love the edges and all the other parts of the brownies. Sometimes, I sprinkle powdered sugar on top, or add a scoop of ice cream! Now I need to go buy a brownie mix! May have to try the brand you like and use. Will have to go back to your video to see the name brand. ππβ€οΈ
I love brownies but I couldn’t eat them for a while because of Celiac Disease which I have to be gluten free. I did finally find a mix by Pillsbury and it is Chocolate Fudge with Chocolate Chips. I add walnuts. Now I can have a favorite dessert as long as I keep them away from my husband.
I love brownies with ice cream. The more nuts the better!
LOVE brownies! Mine must have chopped pecans in them and no frosting. Sometimes for a surprise, I put a pinch or so of red chile powder to give them a kick. Believe a little dab will do – so good though. Another fun start to your sew along mystery. I love desserts, so this will be temptingly delicious along the way.
I’m new to your channel and love it your very easy to understand, I also love all things chocolate, what’s not to love lol, thank you for your time to do these videos for us all ,happy new year
June
I like chocolate but I like my chocolate with something, so like definitely with walnuts is better than without, however, I find Brownies too heavy for my taste so rarely eat them, but I do enjoy a piece occasionally. Love what you do, thank you
I love ALL brownies. Especially fudge-y ones! I actually prefer a middle piece over an edge piece!
My favorite way to eat a brownie is warm with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream on top. Yum!
Brownies are one of my favorite desserts. I like the box mix, nothing special. They are quick to make and yummy to eat.
Love the soft gooey brownies.
I do love brownies, particularly the corner edges because a gal can’t get enough edge on her brownies. Your brownie pan is awesome. And … What a “sweet” give-away — Thank you for all you do Pat!
Yum on your additions!!
