I make scrappy log cabin blocks and have adding machine tape to use for skinny scrappy strips.
When you have scraps, you make scrapalicious quilts!LOL My church group makes so many quilts and most are scrappy. I like them to be happy! Interesting book with wild designs. I would love to have it.
I love to make scrappy strip quilts and FQS scrappy brick house.
This book is right up my alley! I’m constantly working with crumb blocks and coming up with ways to use them in quilts. It’s stress free piecing for me on days I want to sew but don’t want to work on anything that requires a lot of thought. lol.
My quilty friends help keep me supplied with scraps, so, I never run low!
I love scrappy quilts! From using anything thing and everything to be controlled scrappy with specific colors they all speak to me and make me smile.
I like scrappy with some sort of order! Like by color or with a unifying background maybe. This book looks very inspiring!
I love my scraps. I use them when I just need to sew without worrying about matching seams. I have a box full of scrappy blocks waiting for the right project.
I just started sewing scrappy blocks and now I can say “I am addicted”. It all started because between my mom and I, we have a lot of scraps and I just hate to throw the larger (bigger than 1 1’2 inches) away so I started saving them. Then with the prices on everything going up I thought, why not make my own fabric? So I started just sewing them all together in the evenings to relax before bed. Well after my first quilt, donated to charity, I can’t stop. The block you made today was fantastic! This book could really amp up my creativity so would love to have a copy for inspiration. Thank you so much for keeping me motivated and on track Pat. I don’t think you receive the recognition and thanks that you deserve. Happy stitching!
While I like all scrappy quilts, I’ve been having fun piecing together the crumb quilt blocks. I now have about 60- ish of them and this book would give me loads of ideas as to how to use them . I’d love make quilts and what nots for my family. Thank you for your videos, Pat! (and Happy Anniversary!)
My scrappy quilt is an album pattern, using fabrics from my mother’s sewing when I was growing up. I love remembering the clothing she made for me!
I like string quilts that look scrappy. I liked Lori Holts scrappy block from her book. Thanks for the giveaway and Happy anniversary!!!
I’ve made rainbow and crayon box scrappy quilts that have come out so cute.
I’ve done some scrappy quilts and am collecting strips for a scrappy strip quilt – the book looks like the perfect process and inspiration guide!
My favorite scrappy quilt is using my strings/strips. This is also a memory quilt for yourself. You look back at what you made with that fabric. Love to get this book that will give me more ideas of using up my scraps.
Log cabins blocks are my old standby scrappy quilt. But I also love none patch blocks. I recently made a scrappy quilt using curved pieces.
I love colourwash quilts like the ones by Terry Rowland which are a fabulous use of scraps. Kristen from Scrap Fabric Love has made gorgeous colourwash quilts using upcycled denim fabric for the backgroud. What a great leader-ender project!
Scrap quilts are always so warm and inviting. When working on them, I tend to control the scrappiness of them. I haven’t given myself permission to place pieces randomly yet. 😏
I prefer more controlled scrappy within a color scheme. The book looks very interesting.
I’m liking the twist in the scrappy blocks! Hopefully I can win a copy of the book💗💗
I have many kinds of scrappy blocks going, depending on what the scraps are. Some are adding machine type sections. I tend to make log cabin or courthouse step type blocks with longer pieces. I really could use this book!
I love to make scrappy coin quilts. It’s fun to use up old scraps and make something useful. The block you made was so pretty!
Would love to win a copy of this book. I love all your videos. I have coffee with you every morning!😊 ☕️
I like random scrappy blocks. Always a surprise how it will come together.
I love all types of scrappy quilts… rail fences…string blocks…but especially all the various log cabin blocks.
I like using the nine patch and the disappearing nine patch to do scrappy. Scrappy is my favorite.
I think that scrappy quilts are so fun to make. They usually have so many memories of past quilts you had made.
I love all scrappy quilts. The challenge is to not try to organize them, unless of course you want a controlled scrappy.
The book looks very inviting, would love to win it.
Thanks for all that you do for the quilting world Pat.
I love scrappy quilts I have a large tote of all my scraps and I just pull from it and start sewing.
I like scrappy quilts with leftover 2 1/2 “ inch strips
I love scrap quilts. Most of the quilts I make are given to charitable organizations and I love to make fun, interesting quilts for the children. This book looks like it could show me how to make some fabulous quilts,
I like string quilts but this technique looks so fun! I will definitely have to try it!
Controlled scrappy. I like a color theme to still be prevelant!
I have loads of scraps looking for a home. I have cut them up in various sizes but they are just sitting in a drawer waiting their turn to be used. This would be a great book for me.
I have made strip diamond quilts for scrappy. I watched Shannon and Jason’s book launch video. Love the fact they created a book that shows ways to take wonky blocks and put the together to make beautiful things!
What a fun book for using up your never ending scraps…thx Pat for all you do. Happy Anniversary!
I love scrap quilts and would enjoy this book.
I love to use my scraps for samplers. I find it challenges me to work on color matching/placement.
I make quite a few crumb style quilts and have made at least 3 string quilts, but almost all of my quilts are made from scraps of some sort.
I have been doing a bit of improv. The book would be a valuable resource.
I love strip quilts!
I’m not sure if we’re supposed to comment here, or on Youtube when you said comment under your video. But I’ve been doing scrappy wallhangings using hourglass blocks. Practicing for the Exploding Heart I’ve been wanting to do (which probably won’t be totally scrappy). But I love my wallhangings with 3-4 triangles of each fabric. I do a lot of rearranging and taking photos before sewing the pieces together!
I prefer a controlled scrappy. So limiting my color pallet or sizes of scrappy blocks or surrounding each block in similar colors. Sky’s the limit lol
Kimberly Thomas, Melbourne FL love the scrappy quilts that incorporate all the leftover pieces from block Wednesday in the Sloan Zone! Funny how we can remember each fabric line from each project!! Thank you for all your sew alongs!!
I do love using scraps. I save alot of the scraps from my planned quilts. But 9 patch scrap quilts are my favorite.
I love scrappy quilts that have dashing between the blocks to give your eye a rest. Also blocks that are colour co-ordinated!
Scrappy scrappy is my favorite to sew! This book looks interesting!
I love anything scrappy to use up my extensive collection. But I lean more to sorta planned scrappy. Thank you, love your show!
I am Sewing stawberries from scappies.
I love the look of scrappy quilts. I do however find I prefer a more controlled scrappy quilt. I have tried crumb piecing which is fun but I have yet to free myself to not worry about fabric placement.
Love scrap quilts, haven’t seen this book, love to have it hope I win
