Love your quilt Pat. I grew up in California near the ocean and I really miss the beach here in Arizona. Your quilt reminds me of happy days spent at the beach.

The beach is my safe Haven. Iāve been going there for 43 years with my husband. We started with our honeymoon and have been camping ever since .I am a people watcher so I love being able to sit on the beach and just watch people. I love the low crashing of the waves just relaxing you .my favorite thing to do on the beach is to read a good book. However, now I have to be careful because I was diagnosed with skin melanoma last year, so I have to protect myself sun rays. Your quilt represents all the good things however, I donāt think my body would handle being in a bikini anymore so thank you for offering this as a gift for your 10th anniversary. Itās been a great month to do the celebration.

I love to work in my flowerbeds, mostly in the spring! During the summer I have a large screened in porch, which I love to sit in and read or take out my sewing machine and sew.

I used to live near Seattle and we would go hiking in the mountains when our childrem were growing up. Lots of great memories. Now I live in Dallas where the summers are too hot to go out so I stay inside with the air conditioner.
My favorite summer activity is spending time in my yard grilling and playing with my dogs.
I used to love going to the beach to sit and read or lay in the warm sunshine. Love the soothing sound of the waves upon the sand and the breeze off the water. Not able to go there anymore but the memories are nice.

Every summer my sister and I rent a beach house and spend time at ocean and shop the cute shops and eat lunch at our favorite restaurant and enjoy a glass of wine by the bay while listening to the seals bark. At night we roast marshmallows while sitting by the fire pit. Staying up way to late sharing family stories and memories. And then of course there is BBQ’s and picnics with my husband.

I love traveling in the summer. During Covid we visited many of the lighthouses in Michigan.
We winter in Florida so this is a perfect quilt for our Florida home.
I live in Michigan. We camp near Lake Michigan in the summer at various state parks. The beaches are great and the sunsets are fantastic. The beaches are interesting in the winter also.

My favorite summer activity is spending time with my family hanging out at our backyard pool. My son is now 30, married with a new baby and we are super excited for the pool time we are going to get to have with our first grandchild. This quilt would be a great reminder of fun summers! Oh my! The beach quilt stirred my heart strings. I used to hand applique which is my favorite type of quilting technique. After a thumb joint replacement and older age etc I can only do a little hand applique now. I very much appreciate the work that went into your beach quilt. Always love going to the beach. Being around the water is very relaxing for me almost as much as quilting.
