What fun and busy month January has been. I like when January is busy as it is helps me make it through the dreary winter. I'm writing you from another overcast and bleak looking day. I'm one of those people that need my sunshine.

Your hand applique quilt is amazing! Those Mendocino Mermaids have a special place in my heart. My favorite thing to do in the summer is eat ice cream and swim. When it gets really hot, I go to the indoor ice rink to figure skate. The temperature inside is about 40 degrees year round.
My favorite summer time thing is sit outside under the shade tree and read a good book along with watching the wildlife come and go.

My favorite summer thing is just to get out and mow the lawn, see the flowers, work in my vegetable garden, ride my bicycle and quilt.
Favorite thing to do in the summer is to sit on my deck in the sunshine enjoying all the nature around me while cross stitching or hand binding a quilt.
My favorite summer activity is glamping! I even bring a sewing machine along! And hubby doesnât even mind!!
You are so generous with your giveaways. I love them all. I love the summer. I loved it when my children were little because we could all relax and have fun. I especially love it because 15 of my siblings, our children and their spouses, and our grandchildren, and even some cousins and their families travel from all over the US, Costa Rico and Japan and gather in a lively shore town in New Jersey. We rent separate hoses and motel efficiencies for two weeks and play play play on the beach in the daytime and each others rentals in the evenings. It is a blast!
My favorite summer activity is going for a walk around the neighborhood in the evening. Itâs also a great time to visit family.
My favorite summer activity is a simple hotdog roast around a campfire with family and friends and ending the night with a great marshmellow roast and the making of s’mores.

My favorite summer thing is to take walks in the evenings out at Fort Monroe here in Newport News. My partner and I go there to relax and walk away the stress of the day, and the light breeze off of the water makes it very refreshing.
