  7. Grilling an awesome steak on the grill, then hanging out near a bonfire watching the sun fade away with some of my best friends

  8. I live about 10 minutes from the beach in Savannah and my favorite thing in summer is to get out early and do my walk on the beach, and enjoy the smells, sounds, and feel of the ocean.

  9. It used to be to lay on the beach. Now, as an “old broad”, it is to work in my garden, with my two fur babies “helping”

  10. Thanks Pat! I love going to the beach. I’m in Houston and we drive to Galveston all the time. To hear and see the waves is the best! Thank you for all of your videos and patterns!

  11. Your “Beach” quilt” is so much fun. You can’t look at it and not feel happy. As always your creative touch rendered an awesome quilt.
Having this quilt would be wonderful. Thanks for all the thought that has gone into the Anniversary giveaways

  12. We used to go out to Colorado to visit my grandparents and have a big family reunion. I still like a good family reunion.

  13. My favorite summer activity is my swimming pool. It attracts my grand childrrn and we can play in it for hours. I would love a Pst Sloan quilt . Whst could be better?

  14. I enjoy eating outside with family and friends and sitting onthe porch on a warm evening. I don’t have as much time to sew though!😞

  15. I love summer especially getting together with my family outdoors and kayaking, fishing and enjoying the water. Love, love watching the flowers grow and bloom.

  16. My favorite summer activity is to go to places with my kids and grandkids. We enjoy the beach, the parks, the mountains, and just getting together in the backyard for dinner!
Pat, I appreciated the comment you made about finding joy in the making of a quilt. That resonates with me because I usually have a recipient in mind as I begin each project.
Thank you for inviting us to enjoy quilting in our lives!

  17. What a beautiful “Quilters Quilt”!! What a great giveaway and best of luck to the wonderful and lucky winner!

  18. My favorite summer activity is floating down the river at my parents house in inner tubes. We have been doing this since 1957. so relaxing and we always laugh until we pee.

  19. My favorite summertime activity is visiting the National Parks – hiking, ranger programs, gorgeous vistas, the waterfalls, watching the antics of the wild animals, toe dips in the creeks, looking out for bears… each park is unique, and each offers a wealth of wonderful experiences. (And I do take a small sewing machine for those inevitable rainy days.)

  20. One of my favorite summer activities is road trips with my husband. These are especially fun when we visit family and friends all over the country. Love your beachy quilt. It reminds me of the summer beach trips we took when our sons were little.

  21. Hi Pat!
Beach Quilt is an Excellent Beauty!
Beach đŸ–ïž is my favourite place to be!
Love all the blocks. Mermaid boarder is excellent to finish it off.
Weeki – Watchey is just north of us. There shows are all exciting to watch.
I would Charish your quilt forever!!!!
If I’m not the lucky 🍀 one to win 😟 I have to make it for sure!

  22. Love to make quilts but there are some things I’m afraid to tackle. One is your beach
Quilt so many different things to enjoy. Thank you for being YOU.

  23. I used to live by a lake in central MN and sitting on the shore listening to the water lapping on the shore or in the evening with the moon shining across the water was just the best. Now I’ve moved away so I enjoy sitting on the deck, drinking coffee and listening to the world around me.

  24. I love taking my grandchildren to the Maine beach where I live, watching them jump the waves, surf on their boards, and build sand castles. That beautiful quilt would fit right in, though I probably would use it after we get home and cleaned off, enjoying a snack in the backyard. Wouldn’t want so much sand ground into it!

  25. I love to get out on my bicycle for I nice ride along country roads. That’s why I collect bike fabric and friends give me bike fabric.

  26. Wow! Your comment about joy being in the making really resonated with me. I love the appliqué quilt of summer fun!

  30. Since I live in the Midwest where the summers are hot and humid I tend to stay indoors with the a/c running and sew on those miserable days. I enjoy the outdoors in the spring and fall. Winning one of your quilts would be awesome.

  31. I can’t wait to get back outside, get my hands dirty digging in my garden and flower beds! I love your beach quilt!

  32. I so enjoyed your comments on being a maker. My family and some friends just don’t get this. I have to create. And yes, I have more quilts than I will ever use but then I can have some to give away. But it’s what I do. It’s what I want to do. That’s why I join several block of the months and sew alongs. I just enjoy the process.
