I love the summer and everything about it! My favorite activity to do in the summer would be to lay in the shade on a hammock. So relaxing! I might even cover up a little with a quilt if it was in the cool of the evening!

I love taking my boys to the beach!! They always find new and creative ways to play!!
I love to sit on the beach and watch the waves, build a sand castle and pick up shells. We are all fair skinned so we need lots of sunscreen! Love your quilt, Pat!!

My favorite summer activity is gathering with my grandchildren. We have enjoyed wonderful beach trips. Enjoyed teaching them to look for shells and sea glass. Wonderful memories. I love cook outs with the family, better if we can do that by water, but the backyard works well, too! Just love having the time with family. I also find a lot of joy tending to the garden.
My favorite summer activity has always been going to the beach, and when I retired, I realized my dream of living near the beach! I love to relax and read a good book and then swim in the waves. Now I get to go to the beach all year, look for shells and sea glass and just enjoy the serenity.
Where I live it gets above 100 degrees, so I either want to be in the pool or inside in the AC. So I end up quilting a little more in the summer. But when I was young and lived in NY, my favorite thing to do was to play outside and climb trees!
The quilt is beautiful. I would love to win it. I have made quilts, but I have always given them away. I have not kept a quilt for myself. I guess I’m like you and the joy is in the making.
Love your quilt! We have a Northern cable and go to the beach with our family! We usually load up the golf cart with everything and away we go!! We always have a lot of kids at our cabin! Especially now that they’re bigger and bringing friends!! Happy sewing!!!!!
My favorite activity during the hot summer time is to head to the mountains for rides or hikes along cool forest trails with scenic overlooks, streams and waterfalls. I also find the most joy in the making of things including many quilts which are given away. Happy 10th Anniversary for your quilting community.
Oh my gosh, this quilt is beautiful, I remember when you were making this quilt. IT reminded me of the trip to Florida with my granddaughter. Love it.

My favorite summer activity is enjoying binding my quilts on the porch of our cabin in the mountains of VA.Even though hand quilting takes more time, makes me feel more connected to all the wonderful quilters who passed the art of making quilts on to us.
My favorite summer activity is probably the fact I am able to get out mainly to attend my granddaughter’s 4-H activities. As I am “older”, I too enjoy being at my sewing machine constructing more quilts to give away — that’s my JOY!
My favorite summer activity would have to be our camping trip to Fair Haven State Park in New York. Hours of bliss by the lake, long walks, cooking outside, bird watching and just being together with family away from the normal things of our everyday life.
As a child I grew up going to the beach for 4 weeks every summer with family friends; so anything “beach” hits close to home.
It gets really hot here in the summer, with weeks of over 100 degree weather, sewing is my favorite summer activity along with dyeing cloth for quilting.
My favorite summertime activity is getting the grand children so much more, taking them to see new things, parks, beach, museums and staying at hotels along the way. We set up my Featherweight & sewing in the evenings. Would love adding the beach quilt to our room decorated with our beach trips.

Summer is my favorite season. I don’t quilt as much in the summer, I spend as much time as I can outside. Beach, friends cottage, summer concerts in the park. Everything summer. It’s more about being outside to enjoy it than anything❤️thank you for everything you do.

I live 2 miles from the ocean, the beach has always been a big part of our lives. You really captured summer activities with this quilt.
I now live in Colorado, a land locked state, but I have always loved the water! I spent 20 some years in San Diego and miss the beach so much. I am very much like you in that I really enjoy the making process, sometime to the point I don’t get the quilt quilted and bound, so UFO’s galor. Your quilt is so happy and brings back a lot of memories for me in the time I spent in California.

My granddaughters and I go to the beach every time we get together , which is often . We dress for the weather sun, snow, rain, clouds. They love to look for sea glass and rocks. Always making memories!

We live at the beach in Florida, so our favorite activity is hosting the grands at our condo- it is always a fun crazy time, where the hardest decision is “pool or beach first?” I’d love the sea quilt for my entryway!!!

The summers in Las Vegas get HOT quick. My Sweetheart Tiny and me sit under our awning in the early morning with our coffee and chatting and enjoying our veggie garden. I’m usually doing some cross stitch or knitting. Wednesday-Saturday I have to run off to work. When I’m not going to work, the heat usually drives me back into the house. After Tiny goes to our Ranch.

One of my favorite sometime things to do is to watch a sun rise or sun set. It is the most peaceful feeling! I do love a good late summer sunset with all the colors. What a beautiful heirloom the Beach quilt. Ever since We’ve had grandchildren my joy was to book a week vacation to Maine so all my grandchildren (4) could experience the joy of the sand,waves,and getting to spend quality time with them for a whole week. I have started the summer tradition when my first grandson was 2 and we are still doing it 12 years later. We fly kites after dinner on the beach, play badminton, dig in the sand, and they’re favorite……collecting seashells. It brings so much joy and happiness to a grandmas heart for these precious times as we all know they get to be teenagers and they’re lives get really busy and they can no longer get together for fun at the beach…but at least they have the memories.
