My favorite summer activity, besides going to the beach, is setting up my sewing machine on my covered patio and having a sew day. Have to do it early in summer because it gets really hot in Mississippi !
My favorite summer activity is time with the grandchildren. Time at the pool or beach. Fishing at the pond. Going to the park. Sleepovers. Summer renews my spirit.
I love tending my vegetable and flower gardens in the summer.
My favorite summer activity soaking up sunshine and floating in a pool listening to outside sounds, especially waterfall or fountain. So perfect. Thank you Pat for all you do. Such an inspiration.

My favorite summertime activity was going to the beach with my mom & granma, we’d go to Coney Island or Rockaway Beach early in the morning. After a picnic lunch, we’d head home – when the beach got too crowded – to go in the pool in the backyard to watch Million Dollar Movies through the living room picture window until dinner time!

We live in Colorado with many mountains and we used to go camping every summer and I loved that. These days we take more day trips to the mountains and just relax in the great outdoors.

Wow, what an honor I would be to have one of your hand appliqued quilts!! Itâs so cute!!! I think Iâm most excited in the planning stage of making a quilt, deciding on the design, fabric and placement, then when itâs done ( if it gets doneđ«Ł), itâs hard to let it go, even if the plan was a gift!
Ever since I was a little child we have gone to Wildwood, New Jersey to the beach for a week. All generations of the family. It was such a fun time. Itâs great family time!

This quilt would bring back memories of taking my daughter to the beach when she was a little girl. She became an angel at 8 years old in 1979. so our beach days were short.

Your comment about your joy being in the making of the quilts really struck a chord with me. I have friends for whom that is true, and I wondered how they could make and give so many quilts. Now I understand. For me, the making is work – using a skill I have – and the joy is in the finished quilt.
