  1. A beautiful fanciful quilt that would look great hanging in our cabin!
Thank you for the great anniversary month with all the give aways. May the next 10 years go even better!

  2. My favorite summer activity is camping and starwatching with the hubster. He will work on craft projects while I have my featherweight set to sew.

  3. My favorite summertime activity is outdoor picnics!!! And a picnic on a handmade quilt makes the experience even better!!

  4. Owls were the theme for a retreat I went to. This quilt would have been perfect for a class project.

  5. My favorite summer activity is shop hopping. We have a state wide shop hop every June-July and that’s the only time I get to visit some of the shops in our state.

  6. My favorite thing to do is go to waterfalls. I really love them. I also like going to the beach but there aren’t many here in Nebraska. I really like the quilt and would eventually give it to my granddaughter who lives in Orlando FL and does go to the beach when she has time. I really enjoy watching your videos and my quilting will be slowed down for a while as I have Carpel Tunnel and they are going to do my right hand on Feb. 6 and then probably my left hand after the right one heals. Lots of time to watch quilt videos during that time and get more ideas than I have time to make.

  7. I don’t do anything too different all year round. I love to sew and take breaks in the yard with my fur babies. I think it’s such a special quilt to giveaway. I’m not sure I could part with it after all of that handwork. Thank you for the opportunity.

  8. In the summer I love watching all of my flowers bloom and the scents they give off, especially my irises that I got from my grandma.

  9. My favorite summer activity is swimming, should I have access to a pool which is rare for me these-days. After that would be gardening. I love Day Lillies, purple Coneflowers, daisies.
The beach quilt is adorable. I love a beach. I’m not too good at hand applique. I would love to win this quilt so I could see all your appliques up close and personal! lol
P.S. The Owl quilt by Wendy, I have that but haven’t started yet. I just love the pattern. Thanks for all you do, Pat. Have a great day.

  10. My favorite summer time activity is enjoying the summer weather, gardening and spending time with the grandkids. Of course sewing happens too.

  11. Such a beautiful quilt – reminds me of home – Tampa, Fla. I enjoy gardening, riding up in the mountains, and enjoying sweet tea in the summers. Thank you for your daily videos – I love them!!!

  12. My favorite summer activity is camping and quilting at the lake. I set my machine up on the picnic table with a screened in gazebo. Keeps the bugs out while I’m sewing and I still can look out at the beautiful ocean.

  13. Loved your “A Quilter’s Quilt.” I so enjoy any gifts that I receive that are made by a quilty friend, and your talk today made me think of that concept even more. Thank you for all you do, and for sharing your talents with everyone.

  14. What a wonderful Summer quilt. So much hand work! It is Beautiful. I would love to have it hanging for the summer months.

  15. Favorite summer activity is going somewhere that has a pool that I can spend time with my family. And staying cool in my house quilting and sewing

  16. My favorite summer activity used to be going to our cabin in the mountains until fire took the whole area out. Now my favorite activity is going to visit friends on the coast where it’s cooler than home. I take my sewing machine with me and we have a sew day. The rest of the time we go exploring in the area and we catch the quilt shops as well.

  17. Oh what a cute quilt. My daughter loved to go to the beach. It would be so fun to have this beach quilt to snuggle under and remind me of her. Thanks for thinking of your quilters.

  18. Pat,
I’ve only been quilting two years now but you hit the nail on the head when you said once the quilt top is complete you are done. That’s me!!!
I love the challenge of getting my pieces cut and then piecing them together. I have a bag with several tops just waiting for me to quilt them. So I’m hoping to learn free motion this year and get some of them done and most likely I will gift them.
This quilt you are giving away is just so fun. I live in Summerville SC just outside of Charleston and my daughter has her living deck out in a beach theme and this quilt would look so amazing in this room. And I’d have the added bonus of seeing it every day because I live with her and her family which is her husband and five boys.
    Thank you so much!
    Lou Ann

  19. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your summer beach quilt. And would be so honoured to own one of your quilts. All the work and stitches, time you put into this would be forever cherished. Thank you for the chance to win this amazing quilt made by you..and you

  22. My favorite summer activity is going to the beach, collecting shells, and swimming. Our picnics under an umbrella are magical, with kids & grandkids digging in the sand and making Sand Castles. And if course, swimming in our pool with our family and friends.
I would surely LOVR this quilt! 💕

  23. My favorite summer activity is going for a walk or a hike. We have snow and ice a great deal of the winter, so it often is not a safe activity even if you are willing to brave the cold. Thanks for all you contribute to the community!

  24. My favorite summertime activity is working in my yard then cooking something yummy on my grill for my husband and me. Then we’ll sit at our picnic table and watch the birds at our feeders as we sip on something cold!

  25. My favourite summer activity is going to the east coast to visit family, beach, whales, quilt shops, ocean, peace, tranquility, fishing, boating in ocean, lobstering, just sooo much to do there. thanks for this chance at such a beauty of a quilt, truly a treasure!!!

  26. I started watching you during the pandemic and I can remember you showing this applique quilt a year or so later….What beautiful work and what a wonderful win it would be! I think my favorite summer activity is chasing fireflies with my grandson, gardening and just gathering around with family. We have a LOT of BBQ’s with family. Thanks for all you share with us Pat. Happy Monday.

  27. My daughter and I have a small clinic. She’s an OT and I am a neurological rehab specialist with a quilting habit. We work with paediatric brain injury. Mainly we work with cerebral palsy and Near Fatal Drowning. In the summer kids come to us for 5 in a rows. We see them 5 days for 2 hours. It is my joy to see how much they progress after a week of intensive therapy. I hang my very beginner quilts on the walls. We lay the kids on quilts on the message table to give them a soft warm surface and help us turn and position them. I love your quilt and they would too. At night I walk on the beach and think how I miss the summer by working every week, but I would not have it any other way.

  28. I live near the beach on the central coast of CA. This quilt would be perfect for friends and family to enjoy. Anything Pat makes deserves the place of honor.

  29. What an honor it would be to have one of Pat Sloan’s Quilts made with Love. Quilters are givers. The joy is in making them and having others enjoy them. One of my Favorite summer activities is walking through the forest with family, especially with the grand children. Thank you for this opportunity to enter this wonderful contest.

  30. Such a beautiful quilt Pat. It is such a lovely gift to give. Thank you for the opportunity. I live in Illinois. So, the weather is not that great for walking in the forest. So, I love to take long walks and listen to music or stores on tape, or nature during the summer mornings. There is no better summer activity for me. Well, gardening comes a close second. Have a great week. Many blessings.

  31. One of my favorite summer activities is going to the river, swimming and just hanging out there with my family.

  32. I love to swim or lounge in or around my backyard pool with my twin grandsons. It is hot here in Phoenix. Love, love love this quilt. Whoever gets it, it is amazing.

  33. My favorite summer activity is gardening! We are fair-skinned redheads in our family and have to be careful of sun at the beach. We tend to go out in the early part of the day or after 3 pm to avoid the worst burning rays. Thank you for offering this quilt with so much personal work in it! I would treasure it.

  34. My favorite activity is camping. My sister-in-law has a beach cabin on the Washington coast, and we pull our trailer down, and we have amazing times together. My brother and his wife fly up from Arizona, and we have a blast! I would love, love, love, to display an amazing work of art in my trailer during one of many get togethers with them. Thanks Pat, you’re awesome.

  35. I am a huge owl fan. My sewing room is nicknamed “Hooterville” because that is where I am surrounded by my owl collection. I love the owl quilt you are featuring this week.

  36. Awww
I live on the West Coast and love this quilt. Thank you for sharing your art. The ocean is a beautiful, fun, and peaceful place all at once.

  37. My favorite summer activity includes a driving trip to spend time with my family in Southern Minnesota. We have BBQ’s, play Corn Hole, and have a campfire in the backyard. We watch the 4th of July fireworks.
