Since I’m a desert dweller, I head to the cool pines in the mountain. I tell my family I need a pine fix. Gotta hear the wind blowing through the trees, smell damp earth, sit in front of a fire, and snuggle under quilts.
My favorite summer activity is camping and hiking in the beautiful National Parks!

Quilting is my passion. I sew everyday and all day long. Summer through winter. My husband loves to garden.
His favorite is Hostaâs so weâve had garden tours in our yard displaying quilts as a compliment. So fun!
Favorite summer activity ~ same as my favorite activities year-round ~ quilting! But also love walking in the sand, beach-combing, hiking in the cooler woods, reading, and sipping coffee with friends! Sounds like the makings of a quilt retreat!

I love to go camping and exploring almost everywhere there aren’t many people đ. I love the beach to watch for dolphins and birds, look for shells, and wade in the water. I also like the dark skies over the ocean at night.
The sound of the ocean fills my soul and brings me peace. I’ve live all but 7 of my 86 years living on the Pacific Coast. Add quilting and I am at peace. The peace for me is quilting .. the joy is in the giving. Love this quilt!

my summer fun is having a cousins’ camp for all my grandchildren. They l9ve in various places so this helps them get to know each other. As a child I grew up near several families of cousins and loved the time we spent together throughout the year.

We plan a family trip each summer and take our grands to the beach to fish and play in the water. We are fortunate to live close to s ca beaches. The quilt is a work of art!

OhMyStars! ThatđŠquilt is fabulous! In Japan Fukuro (owl) represents good luck, wisdom and protection against misfortune. Perfect quilt for the home. My favorite summer activity is swimming in the pool but when the sun is full blast I prefer quilting in the air conditioning.

Summer is very hot in my state. I do get out for walks and go to our neighborhood pool. Other than that, I stay inside in the AC and sew!

In the summer months I love gardening and enjoying a variety of flowers I’ve planted over many years. Much like our quilts, they each have a story to tell!
One of favorite kinds of quilts is appliquĂ© however it is the one type of quilt I don’t often make. I don’t feel as comfortable working on them and I am slow and never feel that it looks that good. I would love to win your quilt and it fits right into my decor as I live in Florida.

We try to get away to the Oregon coast once each summer to evade the heat and smoke of our valley. That quilt is so sweet, so of course I’d enjoy having it in my home or at a friend’s.

Love to go on statewide shop hops during the summer. We get to explore beautiful old towns and diners. We also try to hit a few golf courses to keep hubby happy.
