  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric

  1. My favorite Holiday Decoration or Event – Mine would be our annual Christmas dinner. I love decorating (not cleaning of course) my whole house and displaying my quilts. It is a great time for the whole family to get together and celebrate this glorious day. Wishing you and your family a great holiday. Glad to know you feel better.

  2. My favorite Christmas event is putting up our tree. It’s an artificial tree that we’ve had for over 20 years and it still looks great. Our kids love contructing it as much as decorating it. Even in their 20’s, they still want to help with this when they’re home to visit during the holidays.

  3. My favorite holiday decoration(s) is my Christmas village. It began with a set of 6 buildings my husband won for me and has expanded each year – I now have around 50 building plus a whole tote and more of figures, etc. this year my 6-year old grandson is helping me put it up. He actually is a big help hauling the boxes out and carrying the empty ones back to the closet where I store the. He is very careful and so proud of himself!

  4. My favorite event is Christmas Eve dinner! We host a traditional New Mexican dinner with posole and tamales and the outside of the house is decorated with luminarias.

  5. I love to decorate our Christmas tree best because we have ornaments from most of our family trips and we remember the fun times we have had as a family or sometimes just a couple.

  6. My favorite decorations that go on the tree each year are ones passed down to me from my grandparents & my parents. I am 81 years old so I have no idea of the age of some of these very fragile glass ornaments but it is not Christmas without them displayed. our favorite event was the cookie decorating party the 1st Saturday in December all family members Siblings Cousins & all their children. Moms brought a dozen cookies for each of their children to decorate teens made popcorn balls everything was hung on Aunt Isabelle’s Tree ready for family gathering on Christmas eve The day ended with a spaghetti dinner

  7. My favorite event was the annual Christmas Eve program held at my church when I lived in Maine. It was filled with music, a male choir, solos, readings, etc. The ladies had decorated the church with trees, garlands, and wreaths, all lit in white. The last thing we did was to turn off the overhead lights and hold a lit candle while singing Silent Night with all the harmonies. It brings tears to my eyes just remembering it.

  8. My favorite Christmas decorations are lights on the tree. As a child. I loved to sit in the room with just the tree lights on and listen to Christmas music.

  9. My favorite holiday decoration is an ornament hubby got me when we were dating. It’s a pair of yellow ceramic ballet shoes. It has lasted 32 years without getting broken, which is amazing to me!

  10. My favorite Christmas event is our yearly Christmas party with all my children and Grandchildren. We exchange gifts.,play lots of Christmas games and eat some yummy treats.

  11. My Favourite Christmas Event is baking, decorating and listening to Christmas music. Love this time of year.

  12. One of my favorite Christmas events at church is the Hanging of the Green. We have not had it the past two year due to COVID-19, and I am still attending church virtually most of the time, so I miss it. One of my favorite home decorating events is when my son and daughter-in-law come to help me decorate my tree and celebrate Christmas with me. Sometimes it is just an evening, but I treasure those times.

  13. My favorite Holiday decoration is the tree. When our sons were little, I would make each of them an ornament. Once they moved away, I gave them all their ornaments for their own trees.

  14. My favorite holiday activity is cookie making with my grandkids. They have so much fun decorating the cookies. And of course the best part is eating the cookies. Merry Christmas 🎄

  15. My favorite holiday event is getting together with my sisters for the weekend. We play games and make holiday treats to send out to family members.

  16. We were married on Christmas Eve 1971. The next year Mom reminded me that the top layer of our wedding cake was in her freezer so after the church service all of the family came over for cake, ice cream others contributed cookies. We handed out our gifts so we didn’t need to carry them around on Christmas Day. That was the beginning of our tradition. Family & a set of friends who were in the wedding came every Christmas Eve for dinner after service. The meal went from cold cuts to lasagna & cream of crab soup. I was diagnosed with breast cancer before Thanksgiving 2008 & had my 2nd chemo before Christmas. The friend who had been coming said don’t you dare try to do that dinner as she shaved my head. So we’ve never restarted the tradition as other family troubles seemed to surface. But just this past Saturday I was SURPRISED with a 50th ANNIVERSARY party. My husband was involved with the guest list, finding pictures & our cake knife. The 50 year span of time has had it’s ups & downs but I would say ups out number downs & I have the right partner to keep moving forward.

  17. My favorite Christmas decoration is two little Elf ornaments that use to hang on our tree when I was growing up, my Mom just loved them and it makes me think of her every time I hang them up. Great Memories 🙂

  18. My favorite Christmas decoration is a ceramic Santa Boot that my husbands grandma made… or my antique lanterns I put in my tree. Favorite event probably would be going to church in our local church that is over 100 years old and is only used on special occasions!

  19. My favorite Christmas decoration is a row quilt I made using a Fons and Porter pattern about fifteen years ago.

  20. My favorite Christmas decoration is my old timey ceramic Christmas tree with little lights. I even made a tree skirt for it and have a little Lego train set for it! I made this tree at least 35 years ago and still love it!

  21. My favorite holiday decoration is a little Christmas tree. I was deployed to Desert Storm and my husband decorated a tree that fits in an MRE box. He made little wooden ornaments on a scroll saw, tied yellow ribbons to tiny bells and hot glued them to the limbs, and topped it with a small homemade angel. It has pride of place every Christmas.

  22. My favorite Christmas decoration is all the quilts I have. I also have several of the Jim Shore figures. Thanks for the daily video.

  23. It’s hard to choose a favorite decoration. I cherish my angel collection–all gifts from family and friends over the last 50 years. The tree, however is the most important with the history of bought and handmade ornaments over the years.

  24. My favorite thing to do for Christmas is just being with family and friends celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

  25. My favorite Christmas Decoration is a sturdy wire tree tat I decorate with sleigh bells of my Dad’s. He has been gone since 2000, but he loved his bells, and woul jingle every one of them , which all had a different tone, and would grin so big! He LOVED his bells, and this is what I kept from his collection. Always make my heart burst with love remembering him and his bells.

  26. My favorite decoration is the tree top angel. When my children were growing up, they took turns setting it atop the tree. I cherish that memory.

  27. My favorite event is…when eggnog hits the stores. I can usually find it for my grandson’s BD in Oct. and that signals the start of the holidays. I think the holidays just keep rolling along until Feb. 14 then it is start the of spring.

  28. My favorite event is celebrating the birth of Jesus with my family and making memories with them. My second favorite is baking with the grandkids and listening to them tell stories and laugh. My favorite decoration is the Nativity set. Once that is up everything else just falls into place. Merry Christmas to you and your family Pat.

  29. When I was young I think my favorite holiday event was going as a family to pick out the Christmas tree. We always went to the same place each year, and it really signaled the start of the holiday season for me. Now I really enjoy a quiet Christmas day with my dog. Since I celebrate with family the night before, it’s lovely to have a calm day after all the seasonal bustle.

  30. My favorite Christmas Event this year was listening to my 7-year-old learn to play Jingle Bells as a duet with his daddy! Normally it is decorating the house, which we always do the day after Thanksgiving. It’s especially fun decorating the “kid’s tree” which has the ornaments they’ve made over the years, as well as the ones they purchased (including a couple dinosaurs) on it.

  31. My favorite Christmas decoration is my nativity set – complete with the wise men, angels, shepherds, sheep, a camel, a donkey, cow, the Innkeeper and of course, Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. It really feels like Christmas when I get this all set up.

  32. My son made a huge rebar star when he was in metal shop in Junior High. We wrap it in twinkle lights and put it in the front big bay window of our home. It is the only decoration I do for the outside of the house. I love it so much!

  33. My favorite Christmas Event is making my families favorite cookies. Everyone has a favorite, and we make them all up in one day. Of course I’m always going to make a favorite of mine also. The best part has to be everyone sitting down and decorating them. There usually is a lot of laughing, because my husband starts to create an assembly line.

  34. My favorite Christmas event is making tamales. So yummy! Pork, chicken, green chili cheese and jalapeno! We only do it once a year so of course, for us, it is a great festive time. We turn up the Christmas music and just get busy. I recall one year when all the kids came over and we ended up using 80 pounds of masa! That is the dough around tamale filling. I do not recall how many tamales that made but it was a lot! Everyone who helped took some home. Typically we only use maybe 25 pounds and that makes around 20 dozen. This coming weekend we will be elbow deep in masa for our tamale making. Good times always!

  35. For me, the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 11PM was the thing that made Christmas. It changed years ago, because nothing ever stays the same, and there’s a sadness that comes over me. So we have tried to find a replacement, but, as everyone knows, that’s really impossible. New traditions have their own emotions. All is well. It’s all about Jesus and His Love. Merry Christmas.

  36. My daughter and I make cookies for everyone we know and lots of people we don’t know. the suprise on their face is christmas.

  37. My favorite holiday decoration is my collection of Lenox Holiday china candy dishes that belonged to my Mother. They remind me so much of her and of Christmases past. They are so delicate and pretty, like she was, and my family appreciates the memory.

  38. My favorite Christmas event is delivering my home baked cookies to friends and family. It seems to take more energy every year (how can that be I’m not getting older?) but I’ve learned to start baking after Halloween and freeze them.

  39. My favorite event is putting the tree up and decorating it. It always brings back memories remembering when each ornament was given or made for us. I’m usually playing Christmas music and have a candle burning. It is really a great time to reflect of the real meaning of the season.

  40. My favorite event was putting up the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.
Doesn’t happen anymore since I am alone, but I have the memories from childhood
till when my children left the nest. Also watching “It’s A Wonderful Life” on
Christmas Eve and the Christmas Carole with Alastair Sim from 1951 on Christmas
night. I still watch “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

  41. my vavorite is Christmas Eve. the whole family comes for dinner and gift exchange. 4 generations from 77(me)to 2 years. Santa send =s a special letter to all the grands and great grands. we play a couple games and enjoy each other. This year is hard as we lost Grandpa (my Hubby) in june but tree is up decorations out and all is ready

  42. My favorite holiday decoration in the Creche. My favorite holiday activity is listening to or participating in a performance of Handel’s, “Messiah.”

  43. My favourite part of Christmas is getting together with family for Christmas dinner. As well I like decorating the tree with rum and eggnog refreshments!

  44. My favorite holiday decoration is my Christmas tree skirt– it’s 41 years old this year! Made it the first year we were married with a Bucilla kit- tons of felt applique and embellished with sequins. My grands love it and my three daughters all call dibs on it– we will have to draw names for it someday or rotate it around.
