***How do I get notified? ***

** FAQ **

  • What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is  18" x 20"
  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
  • What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

***Skin Cancer Surgery update***

hi friends! My Basal Cell Carcinoma (skin cancer) surgery udpate!
My surgeon removed all the top stitches on Monday afternoon. There are internal stitches that dissolve on their own,

'Doc Noah' was thrilled with how well my skin was healing, yeah!!

I am cleared to wear my glasses if they don't hurt. So I am just wearing them to do computer work, then taking them off so I don't push too much on the top incisions.

Soon i'll do a video just on this surgery so you know what to expect when you or someone you know has to go through this. I want to do a video that answers the questions I had.

If you have a spot on your skin get it checked. The sooner you address it the better!!

  1. Best brownie recipe is the Texas Sheet cake. Made in a sheet cake pan and topped with chocolate frosting. And don’t forget the nuts.

  2. One of my favorite Christmas decorations is a Santa β€˜doll’ that my Mom had when I was growing up. I believe he is 1940’s WW2 era vintage and stands about 16” tall. He is nothing fancy, but very very nostalgic and I remember him being out in her display every year. I was very fortunate to inherit many of her Christmas treasures but this one is extra special. I also have my fathers β€˜baby Christmas bell’ from 1922 – it will be 100 next year! I cherish these items and love putting them out. ❀️

  3. My favorite holiday decoration: a set of four tiny crocheted ornaments with magnets in the back for my fridge πŸ˜€! Christmas tree, wreath, Santa, and stocking β€” made by my girl friend’s aunt.

  4. My favorite decoration is my “Bringing home the Christmas Tree” quilt. I made it last
year with you and I love the vintage station wagons! I loved seeing your Christmas
quilts and decor. Thanks for sharing your home. I watch you everyday and it really feels like we are friends. Happy Holidays!

  5. My favorite thing to decorate for Christmas is my sofa table. I open my large Bible to the book of Luke and have a small nativity sitting next to it. Also have a few tall candle holders behind the Bible.

  6. My favorite Christmas event is getting together with our family, especially the grandchildren! The twins are two years old & also a granddaughter who is five years old. We’ve been babysitting them in the recent couple of days. I love seeing them play & interact with each other. Children make Christmas real!

  7. My favorite Christmas decoration is the tree. As you are decorating the tree, the special ornaments and twinkling lights evoke memories of years gone by. In the quiet of the evening, I love to sit in the darkness with the tree being the only light in the room. It is so tranquil and beautiful – g the warmth of Christmas!πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

  8. My favorite Christmas event is getting together with family at my sister’s house.
Meanwhile, I love to see how well your recovery is coming along. I too am recovering from cancer surgery, and watching your videos helps uplift my spirits.
    Merry Christmas!

  9. We struggled for many years when my kids were young and often didnt even have a Christmas tree. Because of this, we learned to really enjoy our time together, and now we make sureto do lots of family things to make our holidays special! I enjoy every minute of it!

  10. What a fun giveaway!
On our honeymoon, 38 years ago, my hubs and I made crocheted snowflakes for our Christmas tree. Times being what they were and the lack of funds, we decided on a homemade/handcrafted tree. I still have those snowflakes, but they have been supplanted by other handcrafted ornaments over the years: ribbon candy (made from wired ribbon), scented pine corns sourced from our yard, hand tied bows in red and white, and sliced dried citrus fruits (they look like crystals in the sunlight or against the white tree lights). I love to try new ideas. and still have that handcrafted look to the tree.
    Merry Christmas!

  11. Hi Pat! I love your videos they are so very informative and your projects are an inspiration. I love seeing my grandkids at Christmas opening their gifts and being with family.

  12. I love seeing all the lights at Christmas time. It is just so special to take a drive and see what beautiful creations folks have on their homes and in yards. I just love it!

  13. Love your show and love my collection of Santas. I have never counted, but I’m sure it’s around 200. Small medium and large ones. A beautiful Santa tree topper and a whimsical topper Santa. Hoping to get a Christmas quilt done for next year.

  14. Wow, you are healing very well. Happy for that for you. Your surprise present/painting is wonderful what a nice item to receive.

  15. Thanks, Pat, for always being willing to share your medical experiences. They are down to earth and share with all of us the questions, fears and frustrations people may face.
    Jane
