***How do I get notified? ***

** FAQ **

  • What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is  18" x 20"
  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
  • What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

***Skin Cancer Surgery update***

hi friends! My Basal Cell Carcinoma (skin cancer) surgery went well, 2 levels deep in the MOHS surgery. This left me with a good size  hole in my nose a bit smaller than a dime.

All the Cancer removed, the flap to cover it came from my cheek area. You can see I"m sporting a nice black eye and spiral stitches for the flap.

The Surgeons and teams were 😍 fabulous

If you have a spot on your skin get it checked. The sooner you address it the better.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday Pat. Relax and take it easy, my prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. I’m So grateful that you share your talents with us. Be Blessed!

  2. Pat, you look great! I had the same surgery, same place on my nose. The only difference is they put a bandage the size of a golf ball on my nose that I had to leave in place for a week. Three days after my surgery we went to a wedding….golf ball and all! I just pretended like it wasn’t there. They took the flap from inside my ear……which started bleeding a couple of hours after surgery and bled for about seven hours. The next day I read the directions on how to care for my wound. The directions said if I had bleeding that I couldn’t stop within twenty minutes I should go to the emergency room. 😳 Oops. Blessings for a quick healing. And happy Thanksgiving!

  3. Wow, the doctors did an amazing job. I am happy the surgery is over. The anticipation is so hard. Get better fast.

  4. Hugs to you my friend! Sending prayers for fast healing and a speedy recovery! Thinking of you. Thank you Pat for all you do for the quilting community. I know I truly appreciate you!

  5. You look fabulous, I’m sure it will heal & no one will be the wiser! Prayers for continued healing & a fast recoup.

  6. Prayers for you and your recovery, Pat! You are leading the way in bravery for us to address “the scary stuff”. I have been exactly where you are right now and I commend you. Take it easy and rest as much as you can. Big Hug!

  7. I understand the need to get things checked out. I’ve had several moles removed because they looked suspicious, the biopsy showed pre-cancer cells. I’d rather have the scars than the problems. Rest up and take care of yourself. Allow Greg to help. I have prayers headed your way for a fast recovery and loving thoughts & hugs headed your way.
