  1. My favorite part of Christmas is the Christmas music and Christmas events with music. I could almost listen to Christmas music all year round but people would think I was weird (maybe they would be right). I have Christmas music playing most of the day while I can. It brings joy to my heart.

  2. My favorite decoration is a pair of antique eye glasses that my sweet father in law would wear when playing Santa. He embodied the true spirit of Christmas. The glasses adorn our Christmas tree each year with a red bow.

  3. My favorite Christmas event is getting out the Advent Calendar my mom made years ago. My sisters and I fought over whose turn it was to take out the day’s toy. Then it came to my house and my children enjoyed taking out the small handmade toys. Now the tradition continues and the grandchildren are enjoying the same tradition.

  4. I love to decorate my home for Christmas. Around Thanksgiving I put my tree up and decorate it, I put lights, garland and stocking on my mantle and I hang Christmas quilts in my den, dining room and breakfast area. I love shopping the after Christmas sales of Christmas decorations and put out all the plants and figurines I collect each year. This keeps my house festive through some not so festive out door weather! Thank you for all the wonderful videos, helpful tips and patterns that you share.

  5. My favorite event is when the Christmas carolers come to the house to sing, also the small family get together for snacks, games and gift exchange. I’m giving out 5 quilts this year’s, love to watch them opened.

  6. My favorite Christmas event is my children coming home and going to the Christmas Eve church service together.

  7. My favorite thing about Christmas is putting up the tree and decorating it with all the wonderful memories from each ornament. Many made by my grandkids and my daughters. Special ones that were given to me by my mother in law and my mom. Of course I also have a large collection of Santa Claus that are housed in three cabinets to see all year long.

  8. My 6 year old granddaughter lives with us now so I get great enjoyment watching her decorating for Christmas. She loves putting the ornaments on the tree!

  9. I ask each family member what they want on the snack or dessert table when we get together for each holiday. I LOVE making the foods requested and then sending the leftovers home with the family member who requested it. There will card and board games played as well as Wii competitions. Time spent together is my favorite.
For myself I spend peaceful time when everyone has gone home in my sewing room. This year I have a list of WIPS I am working to complete so I can start new projects in the new year.

  10. My favorite decorations are ornaments – I have a bit of an obsession with them. The tree is loaded so I have to put up garland around many doors and each door has a theme … and then there’s the different collections … OM – it’s nutz!!

  11. My favorite holiday event is the Christmas walk at a smaller town near us. The whole town is all about Christmas ending with a tree lighting and of course Santa. The day ends with a beautiful parade. Always gets me in the holiday mood.

  12. My favorite Christmas decoration is our wood carved Nativity scene. We lived in Ecuador in the 1980s. There is a town there that specializes in wood carving. Long ago, in colonial days, craftsmen from the town were trained to carve in order to provide statues for the cathedral and the skill has remained to today.

  13. My favorite Christmas decoration is also an event. My husband and I put together our Holiday Lego Village. We collect each new one that come out and set it up on cotton batting (looks like snow) on our round Chinese table. We also have a lego Christmas train that runs around the village. It’s so fun to piece it together and move lego people around whenever we pass. Ho, Ho, Ho!

  14. My favorite Christmas tradition is decorating the house. When itโ€™s done sitting back and enjoying it all! We also started a tradition of having crab legs on Christmas Eveโ€ฆyummy! My daughters birthday is Dec 23 and mine is Christmas Day so we celebrate each other for several days! Growing up our whole family celebrated together, I loved and miss thatโ€ฆbut I donโ€™t miss all the Birthday spankings I got from all my cousins!

  15. My favorite Christmas decoration is the tree with the pretty lights. I love it very early in the morning when itโ€™s still dark outside and the tree is the only light on. Itโ€™s such a peaceful time.

  16. So hard to choose . I had a very talented mother-in-law and she made the most beautiful sewed baby Jesus that I cradle on the treeโ€™s limbs. Handmade items so lovingly made are precious reminders of our love ones and the time they took to make homemade items.

  17. My favorite Christmas decoration is the Victorian Nativity set that belonged to my parents. I display it on my mantle. Merry Christmas Pat and Greg and all the best in 2022.

  18. I love to put up all my Christmas quilts at Christmas time. I keep them up till middle of Jan. Then I change everything to Snowmen. Thank you Pat for everything you do for everyone.

  19. My Christmas decoration is my quilted advent calendar. Working on two more for my grown children. We all enjoy counting down the days for Christmas.

  20. This Year my favorite event, is going to be our Ladies Lunch at church. We have not been able to do it for 2 years and I am really looking forward to it. We get to see people we only see at Easter or Christmas, as some are 8 o’clockers and some of us are 10 o’clockers. Merry Christmas!!

  21. My favorite Christmas decoration is a ceramic face Santa Claus in an Army uniform. I purchased him at JCP the your my son joined. He is always my reminder somewhere a mom is praying!

  22. My favorite decoration is a pentagonal shaped quilted table runner called “suite life”. It’s 5 very cute nutcrackers.

  23. My favorite Christmas event is preforming with the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra and the Erie Philharmonic Chorus at the annual โ€œHome for the Holidaysโ€ Concert. The concert was last weekend, and it was our first preformance in two years. We all had a ball. This concert always gets me in the holiday mood every time.

  24. My favorite Christmas “event” is the family on one of the country roads between Woodstock and McHenry (Illinois) puts up lighted deer all around their property – over 100! It started around their house and barn and then moved to the rooftops and the hillsides and the meadow. Now we have deer scampering on logs across their stream and some jumping over the road. It is so whimsical and generous of that family to spend all that time for strangers – it always puts me in the spirit of Christmas.

  25. My favorite holiday decorations are the ones my husbands grandmother made.
From ornaments to some wall decorations they are all treasured every Christmas season!

  26. My favorite holiday event is putting up the Christmas tree. My husband and I put the tree up and put the lights on. The kids and now grandkids add the ornaments. We all get a kick out of looking at some of these old ornaments. Have a Merry Christmas.

  27. My favorite is the handmade stockings we hang by the fireplace. My great aunt made them for everyone in the family. They are red felt with names in green felt covered with sequins and beads. There are other felt decorations covered in sequins and beads to represent traditional toys or favorites of the owner. I carried on the tradition by replicating stockings for the added family members-spouses and children. Seeing these always takes me back to my childhood.

  28. My favorite holiday decoration are my handmade quilted stockings. I now have 11 that I string in front of my fireplace even though all 4 my kids are grown. Iโ€™ve added my 3 grands over the years as well. Love your videos and hope to win!!

  29. Hands down, favorite Christmas event is baking cookies while listening to my girls reminiscing about each ornament as they decorate the tree, with Christmas music playing in the background. Merry Christmas, Pat!

  30. My very favorite Christmas decoration is the white hand crocheted and heavily starched angel that has sat on the top of our tree for over 25 years. Everyone knows that she is the one and only topper and donโ€™t even THINK of replacing her! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  31. My favorite holiday event is decorating our golf cart with Christmas lights and taking our grandchildren out to see all our neighborhood lights. I live in one of those neighborhoods that goes crazy putting up lights and we even have a golf cart parade. The kids enjoy it so much! We stop at the clubhouse for cookies and hot cocoa.

  32. My favorite holiday decoration is the greenery wreath by the front door. It is put out on St. Nicholas Day and brought in on Twevlth Night. My favorite event is watching the movie “Scrooge” starring Alistair Sim.

  33. My favorite Christmas decorating/event is getting my live tree put up and decorated. I have ornaments that I have bought for my grown sons and family over the years. It helps me remember with thankfulness for all that I have been graced with in this life.

  34. What a wonderful giveaway. My favorite thing for Christmas would have to be sitting in the dark with only the Christmas tree lights on.

  35. So many holiday traditions! My newest one, so this makes it a current favorite, is to invite family and friends over for a hot chocolate bar! Itโ€™s fun to see what goodies I can add such as Andes mints, whipped cream, marshmallow fluff, chocolate chips and, of course, some adult items such as spiked egg nog, Irish crรจme and kahlua. And, candy canes for stirrers.
Thanks for all that you add to the quilting community!

  36. My favorite Christmas event is anything to do with music. Caroling parties, Concerts, Musicals! I am currently musical director for my community theater’s production of Elf the musical. As Buddy says “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”! Merry Christmas Pat! Thank you for spreading cheer!

  37. My favorite Christmas decoration is a ceramic snowman I bought at a pottery shop. Favorite event is our family Christmas party on Christmas Eve.

  38. My favorite Christmas decoration is a beautiful snow globe that plays music from one of my former students. Then I also love my ceramic Christmas tree from my quilting friend, Irene. It reminds me of her every year.

  39. My favorite Christmas decorations are the nutcracker collection that I inherited from my mom and dad. We lost my dad 23 years ago, and my mom has dementia. Even though she is still living, I feel like I lost her 10 years ago when the dementia took my mom’s lively personality away. Putting up her nutcrackers brings me back to the times I spent with them and my brothers and sisters.

  40. My favorite Christmas decoration is a PEACE nativity set made from felt and sequins! The word PEACE IS the back ground for the Holy Family, I made it years ago, hand sewn on my lunch hour! I hung it on the wall next to my desk in the office where I was the receptionist when I got it finished. Now it hangs next to my kitchen table. Iโ€™ll post a picture over on Facebook. Itโ€™s really very unique! Merry Christmas to yโ€™all.

  41. My favorite Christmas โ€œthingโ€ is to spend it with our Son (born Dec 15) and his family? We help the Grandkids prep breakfast food on Christmas Eve then show up at their house by 6:00AM Christmas morning. Pat, love our morning chats and appreciate your surprise giveaways, I hope to win this one as I have been eyeing the planner and love the Jolly Bar choice of fabric. Merry Christmas to you and all your peeps!

  42. My favorite part of Christmas is having all my children and grandchildren over for a meal and an afternoon of visiting. It’s not usually Christmas day, because they have young families and are establishing their own traditions, but I am so blessed that they coordinate all their work schedules and make time to come visit with Mimi and Gramps!

  43. My favorite holiday event is baking homemade sugar cookies and passing them out to neighbors, friends, and family. I also love giving these cookies to our homeless community with a bag containing socks, mittens, small toiletry items along with a little message of hope and love.

  44. My favorite Christmas decoration is the outside Christmas lights ๐Ÿฅฐ Hubbs got ours up last weekend and it makes for a winter wonderland on the front porch ๐Ÿ’™

  45. I Just love the lights and decorations at Christmas, it is just so cheerful. My favorite decoration when I was a kid, seems very silly now, but brings back great memories. My mother took the “Readers Digests” and folded the corners of the pages down and in and created a let of choir people. She spray painted them read, had styrofoam balls for the head and if I remember correctly she made arms out of paper and they held a piece of paper that was supposed to represent the music. Just something I remember that was always put out every year.
