My favorite decoration is the lighted ceramic Christmas tree my mother made for her parents in the early 1960s. I guess it is my version of a family heirloom.
One of my favorite events is decorating the Christmas tree. One of my favorite decorations
is the ceramic Christmas tree that my parents made. Then it is anything snowman .
My favorite Christmas event is going to Christmas Eve service with my family!
My favorite Holiday event is Christmas programs–starting with my own grade school years in our little country schoolhouse and then my children’s when they started school!
My favorite thing that made Christmas special in our home growing up was a fake fireplace made from cardboard and our mom hung our stockings on it!! I believe family is the most important thing at Christmas time and making precious memories!! Merry Christmas everyone and feel better soon, Pat!! I love you!! 💕❤️😘
My favourite Christmas decorations are the hand made ones, patchwork and cross stitch. My favourite event at Christmas is Christmas Day where all the family get together with lots of laughter and food (can’t forget the food). We live in Melbourne and one of our daughters lives in Queensland so we are taking the caravan and driving up to have Christmas with her this year.
My favorite holiday decoration is a crocheted angel my Mom made. She passed away at the age of 62 in 1991. I think of her lovingly each year I bring out my crocheted angel.
My favourite is Christmas morning video chat with my grandson and my daughter opening there Christmas gifts from us 1400 miles away.

My favorite Christmas decoration would have to be the sting of bells that my grandma gave to my mom now they are mine. They became my favorite because you see my grandma did not like these bells but mom never knew this. They play Christmas music, a different bells lights up for each different tone, they are not in sync, the wrong tones plays, and all the songs are off, the beat is correct but not the tone. Its really kinda funny when you think about it. Anyways my mom displayed these bells proudly for 10+ years because they were a gift from my grandma, she would only turn them on when grandma was at the house. The last Christmas my grandma was with us she said to my mom Why do you still have those? I gave them to you because I don’t like them. Turn them off. Needless to say this shocked my mom. But because this was my grandmas last Christmas Mom continued to put those lights up until her last Christmas. She continued to play them at least once during the holiday season for grandma she would say. And even though not all the lights work anymore, the tones still do, I proudly display these Christmas bells every year, and play them at least once every year for grandma and my mom.
My favorite Holiday tradition, is our whole family gets together the week before Christmas and my cousin hooks up his tractor with a hay rack and we going caroling throughout our town, stopping at older family and friends home and singing to them. Then a fun party afterwards:)
My favorite thing about Christmas was baking cookies and making hard tack with my kids.
My favorite Christmas decorations are the 21 handmade velvet stockings hung on my mantle. We have 4 children (3 have spouses), 11 grandchildren and one grandson in law. They are all machine embroidered with different designs and their names on the plush fleece cuffs. The velvets are assorted colors. All were made by me in addition to each family having a set for their houses. Hanging them is the last thing that gets done in the decorating process.
I love the blocks, very lovely
I’ve been collecting Christmas ornaments for over 30 years, many of which have been made by my mother and mother-in-law. I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite, I love them all!
I love my synagogues Hanukkah party. Everyone participates in games that at home would get an eye roll.
I love to ing all the great hymns and carols for the season. I do love the preparatory messages of Advent. The quilting fabrics fit the holidays have been especially beautiful this year. I have made many gifts.
My favorite Christmas decoration is a Christmas tree advent calendar I made 20 years ago when I was pregnant with my oldest child and my husband was teaching 1st grade. It has 26 snowflake buttons around the tree and 26 star buttons on the tree so each child could get a turn moving a mini ornament from the sky to the tree. We put it up in our home each year and one or more of our children move the ornaments each day.
My favorite Christmas decorations are the lights.
My favorite decorations are my tiny porcelain santas that I display in my china cabinet.
I have a small collection of Nativity Sets that I love to set out each year, my favorite being my Peanuts gang Nativity.
My favorite holiday events, besides celebrating Jesus’ birthday, is also celebrating my two sons and my birthday – all in December!
Merry Christmas to all.
My favorite event is putting up all of the Christmas decorations (I have lots of Christmas houses) along with the Christmas tree because it makes the house so festive.
I have decorations from friends and family. Every year I put them up and makes me think of them.
I love everything about Christmas! I don’t mind getting gifts (LOL), but I really love to give them! I usually try to make everyone something, but I’m a bit behind this year. I’m also hoping inspiration will strike for the annual Christmas poem I normally write. But most of all, I enjoy the spirit of love that reflects God’s Gift to us – Jesus, the reason for the season! Thanks for your generous spirit, Pat!
Baking huge cookie trays and decorating the tree!
My favorite Christmas decorations were my moms. Three angels with red feather dresses and each held and instrument or songbook. Unfortunately, they were donated after my mom passed away so it’s the memories that I enjoy.
My favorite event is Christmas day when we get together at one family members house to celebrate, we all bring a dish so the host doesn’t have to do it all, have games and do the elephant gift exchange. This year will be great as all our vaccinated and boostered!! Happy Holidays!
Hi Pat!
My favorite Cristmas decoration is a Santa ornament that is very worn. I received it as a child from one of my dad’s coworkers who always gave me candy when I visited his office. He was known to me as the “Candy Man”.
I have to have two favorites. I have always loved our Christmas trees whether they are real or not. Every ornament is special for one reason or another and we have a lot of ornaments! 54 years of marriage will do that! Next, my husband has been doing wonderful carvings and he has carved the holy family and the three wisemen along with an angel. They are beautiful and I love them and him making it for me. I am waiting for a few animals to appear, maybe next year! We love Christmas
My favorite decoration is actually 2 ornaments. A papier-mâché golden Angel that my oldest sister purchased for my 1st Christmas (1962) because she looked like me. The 2nd is a figurine depicting Santa snoozing in a rocking chair. He’s sat in our living room for as long as I can remember (maybe 1967 or so?)
My favorite memory of Christmas is getting together as a family, having my dad read the Christmas story and singing Carols.
I come from a very large family, eleven children. We got together on Christmas Eve. As the family started to grow, we had to rent a large room to all be together. Mom and Dad are both gone, many of our children have there own families. Those of us that can still get together. The memories are forever in my heart!
My favorite Christmas event is having the family over for Christmas Eve, playing games, eating, drinking (non-alcoholic beverages, of course), reading Christmas books, and finally opening presents at midnight.
Your videos are fabulous. Thank you for sharing. My favorite holiday decoration is Christmas Lights. My house is covered inside and out with colorful lights. My mother and I also start baking cookies on Halloween Day and go until Christmas Eve. We usually have 50 different kinds between the two of us and make cookie trays for our family and friends. Happy Holidays.
My favorite Christmas decorations are the ornament which hung on our Christmas tree when I was a very young girl, (and I am in my 70’s now, so they are really old. But the memories that they bring to mind are so precious.
Cheers, maggie
My favorite things for Christmas are the family gatherings. I have four grown sons that are scattered about. The youngest lives in another state and the other three live in the same state as I, but many miles away from me and each other. So gathering together for the holidays is something I cherish.
My favorite holiday decoration is a styrofoam snowman, that sits on a round piece of styrofoam, with 4 angel candles, a Christmas tree candle, and a Santa Claus candle. It was made for me when I was around five by my paternal Grandmother. The snowman is two balls of styrofoam held together with toothpicks. His face has a red construction paper mouth, a pipe cleaner bow tie that sits between the balls, his eyes are large head pins, his top hat is black construction paper and is held on his head with a black large head pin. His arms are a smaller ball cut in half, held on with toothpicks. I know the styrofoam balls have been replaced at least once, the top hat at least twice. The base hasn’t been replaced yet, but after 58+ Christmases it’s about time. The candles are losing their faces and other details, and I’ve just recently found some replacements that I could get for them. For me, it’s decorating isn’t finished and it isn’t Christmas until this decoration is out and set up.
My favorite holiday event making Christmas goodies!
I really enjoy putting up our Christmas stockings for every member of the family. There are 11 of them now so I get creative on how to hang them!
My favorite holiday decorations are the outside lights I put up. The colorful lights display the Christmas spirit that lives within our hearts. 🎄❄️☃️
My favorite holiday event is attending the candlelight service at our church. Then we go home and open a package that contains new pj’s, make popcorn and hot chocolate, and watch Alastair Sim in Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”. …from wherever we are..Colorado, Nebraska and/or New Mexico.
My favorite holiday decoration is a ceramic Christmas tree made for me by my mom. It was given to me some 40 years ago when I was a newlywed, but they are now back in style. Some good things never go out of style. Thanks for all you do and I am so glad you are doing well. Becky
My favorite decorations are those made by my children when they were small. I’m a great-gramma now so you know they’ve been around a bit. I always have them on my tree with the rest of the decorations
Thank you again Pat for this quilt along! Last year I also did the one with your block patterns and everybody loved it!
My favorite Christmas decorations are snowmen. You don’t have to pack them away after Christmas. They can stay out for winter.
My favourite time of year is December because it’s Advent Calendar time.
My family has an abundance of advent calendars shared and personal ones.
This year my partner has a coffee one, and I have a dark chocolate one.
We also have our reoccurring advent calendars, the ones we share every year because it shares so much joy. I have my Christmas earrings, and we have our boardgames. So each day I get up and with my family I share with them my earrings (often ones from perilous years) and then we choose our Christmas appropriate clothes (so many clothes) and we go about our days. At the end of the day we get together and play the boardgame in our advent calendar. It ends the day with talk and time spent together.
This is my favourite time of the year because of the time spent with famoly and friends and the memories and experiences shared.
My favorite event is seeing the Christmas ship at a nearby park. There is caroling and a bonfire and some participate in a polar dip! So looking forward to the event returning this year after covid!
My favorite decoration is an elf. I am the middle of seven girls, Army Brats for the first 11 years of my life. Elmer visited us every year. The original was a cheap little elf our Mom hung in a doorway. We all behaved. Okay, we behaved anyway because that is how we were raised. When I had children, I bought an elf. It never had to move. Our elves just stayed in one place. Now I put out an elf for my grandsons woh are 11 and 5.
My favorite Christmas decoration was a gift tag that my dad would always put on my gift that he had picked out. It was a sparkly snowman with a black hat and blue scarf. Unfortunately after many Christmas’s it accidentally got thrown away. I was in my 30’s by then but I was so upset and still think of it every Christmas.
My favorite decoration is all my snowmen ⛄️
I collect them. I have so many that some I leave out all year around. My favorite event is baking cookies for cookie baskets, that we give for presents 🎁 at Christmas 🎄
I just love going to the different concerts in the area. The grandkids school, our church, etc. Also, of course my own family’s celebration.
