I did a tour of Germany, Switzerland and Austria about 10 years ago. It was amazing and I would love to go back. Last Christmas I sent my brother and sister these cookies and they really liked them.
I have visited Frankfort and the Black Forest. My favorite dish while there was trout. Another favorite was Spatzle and sauerbraten.
My husband is German thru and thru. We both love saurkraut and brats.
Hi Pat, love the you tube videos. My favorite German food would be German potato salad. I grew up in a PA Dutch area so you could always count on it at a community event.
ILove schnitzel and cucumber salad. I would enjoy those cookies because American cookies are usually too sweet for me.
I have not been to Germany only Disney World’s Epcot Germany.

My favorite German food is Sauerkraut. The good stuff that is made with just cabbage and salt and left to ferment naturally. Not the stuff you often buy in the stores here that just add acid to quick start the process.

I lived in Munich for 14 months in 1967/68 when my husband was in the US Army. We had our first child while we were there, a sweet daughter. I would really like to win some Leckerlee cookies and reminence about our time in Germany. I look forward to all your videos.

Hi Pat! I lived in Germany for 4 years from 1989-1993. We so enjoyed it. My favorite food was Rhamschnitzel with french fried (pommes frites). Our favorite restaurant was called Wagners. They made the most amazing white gravy that covered the meat and was also used for dunking our fries. Great memories.

Both my husband and I are of German descent. Our families were from Switzerland. My family arrived in 1856 in New Orleans. My husbands famiiily arrived in the mid 1850’s also in New York. We have never been to Germany but my husband has always wanted to go to Switzerland but that will probably not be happening as he is 87 and having a lot of health issues.Not sure of German foods but I am sure we have eaten them at my in-laws home.

We went to Hamburg Germany in 2019. Then on to Wilster because my husband’s family migrated from there back in 1905. Was a great trip. Would love to go back.
No, Unfortunately I’ve never been to Germany, but I LOVE German food. Saurbraten, sweet and sour red cabbage, with spatzle is probably my favorite German meal. And for the bonus point, Yes, I subscribed to Substack the first time I saw you mention it. I’m very happy you were able to retrieve and transfer all your files.
