** FAQ **

  • What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is  18" x 20"
  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
  • What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

***Goodies for Someone!***

Leave me a comment by Jan 11 2022 – 6pm est telling me
"Something you love about Brownies!" (I sure hope you love them but if not… oh well!)

Goodies go to Suzanne Y  who said " I love brownies! I do make both box and from scratch. On special occasions I make Cinnamon Brownies with walnuts and topped with chocolate ganache. I have to run now. Going up to the grand babies but will share the recipe on the cooking group later. Have a great day"

  1. I love all things chocolate so of course brownies are one of my favorite treats. I love the edges- a little chewier than the middle and oh so good!! I will have to find the edge pan now 😉

  2. I love Brownies- I do like the same ones you make and oh yes walnuts! The hubby don’t like walnuts. I make a brownie that my friend gave me the recipe from years ago that is from scratch. Haven’t made them for a while! Trying to lose weight!

  3. I love to make brownies using recipes from a Taste of Home magazine which featured brownie recipes. One has a layer of Mint creme on top of the brownie, then is topped with a chocolate ganache layer. Another favorite has a layer of marshmallow creme on top of the brownie and is topped with a peanut butter, chocolate rice krispie layer. Both are wonderful!!

  4. All the brownies so good 🙂 So enjoy your videos it’s my little relaxing time with a cup of coffee in the morning thank you for all the sew-alongs and patterns. Hope all is well for you and yours best wishes in this new year.

  5. Brownies are a favorite in our house. We like them with extra chocolate chips. We liken fudge-y. Vanilla icing has to be put on top.

  6. Last time I made Brownies for dessert, I forgot to serve them to our company. There they sat on the counter as we ate pizza and then we got to talking for hours and forgot to share the brownies.

  7. I love brownies. I am in a wheelchair. I have really GOOD friends that help me out. I like middles my friend likes edges. I think I will order my friend an edge pan. I think she will love it. She makes really good brownies

  8. We are chocoholics. Brownies are so easy to make and taste wonderful. Hubby now does the baking and he prefers no nuts. He recently tried a new recipe from scratch that adds a little coffee. Fabulous

  9. I do love brownies but I am not a baker. There is a gal in our monthly quilt group who makes the best brownies. We are so lucky that she bakes them frequently for our group. I always eat 1 at quilt group and sneak another home for later if there are any left when class is over.

  10. My husband does not like brownies. Made a box mix and added chocolate chips. After baking poured mini marshmallows ontop, put back into oven to melt. Take out pour chocolate chips on top. Wait till melted and spread. He and everyone else loved them. It’s like a mississippi mud cake.

  11. Hello Pat! I will be searching out the brownie pan, for sure! My entire family goes for the “Edgy Slices” first and foremost!🤣🤣🤣
So enjoying your daily YouTube videos. So inspiring. Thank you my Friend!

  12. Family loves brownies. I’m going to try your recipe for sure !
my kids have the edge brownie pans. I like the center.
Brownies with nuts is a must
    Thank you Pat.

  13. *Good thing I saw your video early today, I had left this comment on your blog not here!*
I love brownies but like mine more “cakey” than “fudgy” (actually about half and half). Preferably no nuts but I wouldn’t refuse one that had them, Lol! I remember when that edge pan came out!

  14. My whole family loves brownies. When we eat out at Big Boy Restaurant after dinner, we share a big brownie with the fixings like vanilla ice cream and chocolate fudge on top. We love any kind made with or without nuts we are not picky eaters when it comes to brownies.
Thanks, Pat for all the patterns you show us on your channel they are absolutely amazing, beautiful work.

  15. Love the video and am excited about starting the blocks.. I like to add cream cheese and powdered sugar swirled into the brownie mix and always add a pinch of cinnamon as well.

  16. I have a major love affair with brownies. I use any store bought mix and add milk chocolate chips and semi-sweet chips. My family is not big on nuts so I usually don’t add any, but I like pecans or walnuts. I mean, what’s not to love about brownies. Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!

  17. Brownies are a “go to” for us. We have to be gluten free and we have found that Krusteaz makes a great box mix for us!! I love to add walnuts, too!!

  18. Brownie yum yum!, I’m a plain Jane. No chips, walnuts,or frosting! My favorite is oatmeal, raisin. Sorry about that!

  19. My friend I’d getting me to get my projects listed all in one place and finish them.. she is way more organized than I am but we are working together to get my things in order. Love your videos

  20. Brownies are so good, I can not make to many sweets because the diabetic in the house will eat them all.
    Thank you
    Nancy

  21. Brownies are a favorite treat in my house. Every party has to have a plate of brownies. They even sell a gluten free brownie mix that is to die for!

  22. I almost always add chocolate chips to brownies. You’re making me hungry for a brownie…hahaha. I didn’t realize how long I have been watching you till I saw that Pollinate project!

  23. I love brownies but can no longer eat them. I preferred the inside pieces but wouldn’t turn down the edges. I need to remember to make them when we have company around.

  24. Love to make Texas Cake brownies with chocolate frosting. They are so moist and yummy! Have never seen a brownie pan with dividers like that.

  25. I like blonde brownies with ice cream and whipped cream on top served warm. The ice cream and whipped cream melt all over the place. It is delicious😊

  26. I have twin 10 year old grandsons. When they come to stay the night with me we always make brownies. Two batches, one with walnuts and one without. It’s the first thing they ask now, “Granny, did you get the stuff for our brownies?” I think I’ll order two brownie pans for them! Thanks so much for the info.

  27. I love all sorts of brownies especially my mom’s that she made with walnuts in the batter that were ohhhhh so gooey and marshmallow and chocolate frosting on top. Can’t make them anymore, husband can’t have sugar and I don’t think I should eat a whole pan of brownies in front of him.

  28. Hi Pat, I really don’t like brownies 😕 I liked more salty stuff and I think brownies are too decadent.

  29. I also use a box mix. I hadn’t really thought about adding my own “secret” ingredients but I like that idea. Walnuts would be my first go to. I am looking forward to winning the goodie bag (haha), I appreciate your generosity.

  30. Brownies are one of my Favorite sweet treats, too. I also use a box mix and add the extra egg for cake like brownies. So good! My sister also received a special brownie plan like yours for Christmas.

  31. I love chocolate brownies but my favorite was the brownies my mother made when I was a child with a layer of brownie, a layer of chocolate chips and nuts, and a layer of meringue.Sadly her recipe has been lost to time and I’ve never found another one that tastes the same.

  32. My favorite brownies are called Heavenly Brownies. My Mom was given the recipe and we all started using it. I add chocolate chip or chunks. I am not a nuts in brownies kind of person.

  33. I love brownies but rarely make tthem as
I do not need the extra calories. Make them
When I know I can take them to share

  34. My gold standard for brownies is the Blarney Bar that Quillin’s grocery stores used to make around St Patrick’s Day.
The turtle one was so good. Sadly there are only a handful of the stores around anymore and I don’t think they make them anymore.

  35. I love your daily videos! I retired from teaching after 40 years and find your videos encouraging, well organized, and above all very inspirational. You are one of a kind. Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work. We are all so very fortunate to view your videos. Best wishes for a happy new year 2022!

  36. My favorite thing about brownies is I have never went wrong by making them to give away or to take to a get together, no one has ever said ” ewww brownies” lol . I like the crusty outside my husband wants all gooey center with NO add-ins, unless you count chocolate chip cookies in them ? that… he likes 🙂 Boxed mix or from scratch? Made them from scratch when my kids were young, now boxes and no one cares in my house 😀

  37. Have a recipe called Texas sheet cake brownies. They are very moist and the frosting is added before the bars cool completely. YUM!

  38. Brownies made from a mix are always yummy. They’re even better with the addition of chocolate chips or white chocolate chips, caramel sauce, and/or mini marshmallows. No nuts are added as all three of my grandchildren are allergic. Chocolate frosting is always a hit too!

  39. I love how brownies bring people together 🙂 I love listening to edge/center, cakey/fudgy, thick/thin discussions. People who no longer eat them share how they miss them. Alternative ingredients, such as egg-less, low sugar, and vegan options, are debated. People who don’t enjoy brownies share what they prefer instead… Brownies bring people together for all this and more!
