My favorite place to stitch is in a campground, I always take a bit of hand stitching along. When my mom & dad came camping with us, mom and I would sit and sew small blocks together by hand, after hiking. Pieces were all cut ahead of time, we made like little kits for ourselves. I miss that time together. It was always a treat when other campers would come visit our site to see what we were doing. It surprises me how many quilters go camping and hiking!

  1. My favorite place is stitching sitting in my zero gravity chair in the backyard with my chickens.

  2. It s not really my favorite place, but I took a project along to work on during an extended hospital stay. It did help to pass the time and I made good progress.

  3. My favorite place to stitch on in my swivel rocker in the living room, second is on the back deck. Not as comfortable. Plus here in N.E. Kansas, it is too hot and humid or too windy to stitch outside 😒

  4. I usually stitch in a corner of my living room by a large window. I love to look at the birds and other critters that run around. Sometimes I take it outdoors on a nice day. Pretty usual places probably, but Ive been known to take it to the park or the lake where I can enjoy different surroundings.

  5. I stitch at the DR. office. Sometimes it’s 4 hours I can get a lot of stitching done then. I should say it’s most of the time 4 hours.

  6. Maybe not so unusual but I like to do hand stitching on my sofa while watching TV. I guess I don’t take my stitching out with me very often. I was gifted a vintage, late 40s, Kenmore machine, (with a knee bar instead of the foot pedal), in a beautiful furniture style cabinet, which I set up in my living room. It used to belong to my friend’s mother, I am honored to use it also while watching tv.

  7. The only place I do counted cross stitch is in my sewing room in my recliner but not reclined. LOL Quilting and counted cross stitch are my top faves things to do.

  8. I just started stitching again after a 40+ year lapse. I stitch in my bedroom, fan blowing on me, in the rocking chair watching YouTube

  9. I like to stitch outside on our covered back porch as well. Hearing bugs and birds living their lives and looking up from my needlework to see our beautiful gardens refreshes my mind and heart. Your give aways are always so much fun, Pat. Thanks.

  10. I usually stitch in my chair while watching TV. I have also taken stitching with me to quilt guild meetings and of course, my Wed morning stitch group!

  11. My best Needle Work location is in my front window where on one side I can watch my TV when the Blue Jays play baseball and on other side I can watch the neighbours walking their dogs.

  12. I love to stitch while porch sitting or under a tree in the shade. I’ve been known in the summer time when it’s hot to stitch while sitting on my bed where I get the direct hit from the a/c

  13. I stich in my recliner with my feet up. It’s not “out of the ordinary” by any means! Thank you for your generosity. You are amazing.

  14. I stitch at our local library twice a month. It is a group called “Knitcetera”, however you do knot have to knit. Lots of fun😁

  15. I’m new to cross stitch. I want to learn and I’m very excited to win. I think I would love to stitch on the front porch in my rocking chair. Such a relaxing idea! Just love your video’s. So much fun!

  16. My favorite place to stitch is in the living room in my comfy chair with the TV on for noise. My out of the ordinary place to stitch is at our summer place by the pool. You think I would be in the pool but I loved watching my girls play in the pool while I stitched. My favorite 💜

  17. I have only done a very few cross stitches many years ago. I really would like to give it another try so would love to receive this nice kit you have put together. I love your videos. I usually do my work in the living room of our one bedroom apartment in Hamilton Ontario Canada. From Quilter T or Pat Lockie. Love to you and Gregg.

  18. I’m a full time RVer. My favorite place to stitch is wherever we are camped. This year we’re visiting lots of out of the way places in Colorado. I’m looking forward to camping with electricity next week so I can start the summer camp blocks. Hand stitchery is nice this week when we’re boondocking.

  19. the place I stitch the most is the livingroom, while Hubby is watching sports or movies (with a lot of explosions!) But my favorite is when we hit the road in our motor home! I love having a handwork project, be it EPP or cross stitch, to work on while he drives. 😉

  20. My favorite place to stitch was in the rocking chair in my parents house. Since my parents have both passed I guess now it would have to be in a lawn chair by a lake but that doesn’t happen as often as I would like. Most of the time it’s only in my living room.

  21. Ok this is not out of the ordinary but my absolute favorite place to stick is in bed. It relaxes me.

  22. I usually stitch in my easy chair as the day is winding down. Sometime I go to my sewing room though because that’s the best place in the house!

  23. I set up a little chair in our exercise room, which is downstairs. I nice little getaway when its hot out and I want to be alone and stitch!

  24. I don’t know if this is out of the ordinary but I stitch a lot in my car. I am a social worker and I drive from place to place in rural Utah out in the middle of nowhere sometimes. I was conditioned as a child to always be on time and I usually get to my appts early. So I take that extra time to throw in some stitches.

  25. I usually Stitch in the “West Wing”, I have a bedroom (front of the house), Master bath (in the middle) and craft room (back of the house) on the west side of the house. So My family calls it the West Wing. Lol Then sometimes I end up driving my Mother to run errands or to an appt. so I always have my cross stitch or crochet ready to go. Don’t like wasting hours in the car when I can spend a little time with a needle! I am sure there are some that have crazier places. Can’t wait to see them all.

  26. MY FAVORITE PLACE TO STITCH IS IN THE BACH YARD IN MY CHAIRS AT THE CREEK BANK AND WATCH THE KAYACKS AND PADDLE BOARDS GO BY.

  27. When I use to work the night shift at the retirement home, I used to hand stich all my quilts there. Since I retired from there my hand quilting output has dropped to almost non-existent.

  28. I used to sit on the floor and stitch while the girls had dance lessons or in the bleachers during swim team practice!

  29. Normally, I stitch in my basement sewing room. But, I’ve been known to take my little $25.00 Singer machine with me along with some pre-cut pieces when I vacation at our campsite on Lake Erie. When sewing outside, everyone around me wants to know what I’m making. It’s a great way to make friends and to get to know your neighbors.

  30. On the boat. I often go fishing with the hubby, but on days I don’t really want to fish but the hubby likes it when we go together, I pack up everything I need to stitch and English paper piece or even cross stitch occasionally and I stitch on the boat. Sooo relaxing. At home I stitch in the antique rocking chair that was my grandmothers.

  31. When I’m not at home, my favorite place to cross stitch is at Registered Trap Shoots watching Hubby shoot.

  32. Love siting on my deck watching my birds & hummingbirds…
Sometime I watch them more than my stitches!!!!

  33. My place for hand stitching is while I wait in the after school car line. I get around 20 to 30 mins of time just for me.

  34. I’d likely stitch in a living room chair watching a movie or on a long car ride. Always take a project on vacation.

  35. When I was working full-time, I would do cross stitch in my car. I much prefer sitting on my back patio now that I’m retired.

  36. I use to love stitching while sitting on a bench at the beach. I don’t get there too often any more so basically stitch while my husband is watching tv. Your cross stitch is coming along nicely. Thanks for a chance to win.

  37. I love to read and work on my projects on the beach in Kaui
Our son was born in Hawaii and so we go back frequently
The breeze and sounds of the oven is so calming🥰

  38. I usually stitch in the evening while watching TV in bed. If I can sneak extra time it is late afternoon in the sun on the patio.

  39. I love to stitch while watch tv with my husband. He gets into it more than me, but it’s nice to feel like I can share time with him. Also like to stitch on our north side deck. Shady.

  40. I have a wrap around porch that has 2 gliders on it. I like to sit in either one as I sew and enjoy the outdoors and listen to the birds.

  41. In the past week I’ve stitched in my hotel room in London, in my hotel in Berlin, in my hotel in Hamburg, on the train to Amsterdam and stitched while watching your YouTube video in Amsterdam.
