Thank yoy for the video on the beautiful pillowcase. It turned out gorgeous! Whomever receives this quilt will be one lucky person! It turned out just amazing! I have made many many pillowcases just like the one you made. I love making them from crepe-backed satin to give to friends. That way no raveling seams at all. And they last forever! And they are so amazing to your hair and complexion. The satin does not absorb the oils of you skin and hair like cotton does, so you aren’t sleeping in the oils from your hair and face. And the satin feels so cool against your face all night long. You can often find remnants of satin in fabric stores and many times they are wider than cotton (sometimes 54” wide) so you can easily make a king-size pillow case. I recently picked up 2 pieces of satin for $2.00 in the scrap bin, 1 yard by 54”. That is a super bargain. Sometimes I make them with the added piping and sometimes not. But I always do the French seam so there are no fraying seams anywhere. Love this! Thanks Pat. Your instructions were perfect!
