My favorite place to stitch is in a campground, I always take a bit of hand stitching along. When my mom & dad came camping with us, mom and I would sit and sew small blocks together by hand, after hiking. Pieces were all cut ahead of time, we made like little kits for ourselves. I miss that time together. It was always a treat when other campers would come visit our site to see what we were doing. It surprises me how many quilters go camping and hiking!

I love to stitch on my deck with coffee and listening to the wonderful birds.
My favorite place to stitch is the family room open the windows and enjoy the view. Most relaxing. Also in mountains while on vacation. And the car traveling.
Over the years I have spent many hours stitching while at swim meets, both inside and outside competitions, in airplanes, particularly during longer flights overseas, traveling to the many places we have visited, during meetings and conferences that I attended, during lunch when I was still employed, waiting for my husband when he was attending meetings — I would scope out a quiet corner somewhere in the building and stitch til he was done, when traveling on vacation I always took a project to work on in the car, on the front porch of the mountain cabin we stayed at most summers for many years, but now I just stitch mostly at my table because I need lots of light and the magnification provided by my lamp, and where I can look out the window and watch tv. Probably not that much different than most of us who love to cross stitch and will find places to stitch no matter where we are!
My favorite place to stitch is on my patio when it is a beautiful day. I live in Brea California to there are a lot of those days. I also stitch in my car at lunch during my work wee.
I quilt outside in campgrounds during camping season! I also like our back deck when it’s not too windy. We live near the ocean so those coastal breezes can cause a lot of mess with fabric.
I have a few places that I love to stitch. The most out of the ordinary is when I am riding shotgun in my hubby’s semi as we cruise down the road so he can deliver his load of goods.
I’ve also stitched while sitting on our motorcycle when we stop for a break. The seat is much more comfortable than a picnic table bench.
I also stitch on when we’re out camping or just on my back patio.
In the winter months I’m sitting in my recliner while watching/listening to the TV.
I used to stitch at the beach. But a warning would be that if it is windy sand grains can mimic colors so don’t mess up. Not that I ever did that or anything. 😂
It’s not out of the ordinary, but my favorite place to stitch is in my den while my husband watches television. I’ve found that if my hands are busy stitching I do not snack.
I like to sit and stitch under an umbrella with my Boston Terrier near my bird feeders and bird baths. Every so often I’ll look up and see a rabbit. Its very peaceful.
I love to stitch in my recliner, with my stitching lamp/magnifier next to me, (Not to out of the ordinary)
Pat
My favorite place is outside in my patio and second place is sitting in my favorite chair in my living room.
Have a beautiful rest of your week.

I like to sit outside under the cherry tree, watching the urban deer as they munch and crunch the lawn.
I like to cross stitch while sitting on my deck.
I love to stitch on our back deck in the mornings so I can hear the birds, who have built nests in the ferns, singing.
My favorite out of the ordinary place to stitch is in the car on a road trip. Time passes so quickly and I can enjoy the conversation and get something done!
My favorite place to stitch is in the hammock by the lake. I love to hear the sound of the water and birds chirping.
When I cross-stitch or do hand embroidery I usually sit at my kitchen table with my ott-lite
right by my side. I provides just the amount of light I need to see my stitches. Always
enjoy all your videos. Hope you stay well and no more health problems.
My unusual which is not so unusual is sewing in our camper. It makes me so happy!
I don’t have a dedicated stitch place. Embroidery is an easy take along since there’s only one needle. So I stitch in waiting rooms, the car, standing in line, etc. While at Ramstein Airbase, I went on a volksmarch. Wundebar!!
I have a room that used to be a summer kitchen that I made into my quiet space and this is where I do hand stitching and my hand quilting. Warm in winter with a small stove and cool in summer from large trees outside.
My favourite place to stitch was beside my husband, in our truck, driving to Arizona for the winters. I handpieced many a quilts chatting and enjoying both the scenery and accomplishing a project getting done. Thanks for all you do.
I like to do my cross-stitch outside, either on my covered porch or out on my swing.
During Bingo at a local casino. I play on a bingo machine and it lets me know when I am close and when I get a Bingo.

I stitch on the plane.
Hmm, out of the ordinary? The most out of the ordinary place that I stitch is on the deck at my son’s house, while everyone else is doing renovation projects. He lives up in the mountains near Virginia City, NV and it’s beautiful and peaceful. I do stitch in the car when waiting for hubby to finish with appointments. I stitch while listening/watching You Tube videos, or listening to podcasts, or while watching live streams.
I’d love to Crosstitch in the camping trailer when we’re out camping or just sitting out under the awning and enjoying the fresh air and Crosstitching. At home my favorite place to Crosstitch is in the recliner in the living room.
I like to stitch in the sunshine! Having a portable project makes it easy to follow the sun!
On an aeroplane because I don’t have to feel guilty about sitting and sewing for a long time – even better if you have delays!
I love to stitch when we go camping. I also love to stitch in the den while watching tv with my husband
I usually stay in the same place for all hand work because the lighting is best.
I carry my stitchery in my handbag so I have it ready to work on no matter where I am. When waiting in a lobby for an appointment it is a great way to meet new people. Sometimes they are even other stitchers!
I LIKE TO STITCH FLOATING IN MY INFLATABLE CHAIR TUBE IN THE BACKYARD POOL. A COOL ADULT BEVERAGE IN A PLASTIC CUP ON THE EDGE OF THE POOL HELPS TOO.
My favorite spot in the summer to stitch is on my front step with my dog, Bennet. He gets to bark at the people and dogs walking by and I enjoy my time outside
When we camp I love to sit outside the camper and stitch. Campgrounds usually have lots of people who take walks and several of them have stopped by to see what I was working on !
I haven’t cross stitched for so long but need to get some new patterns to work on. I have a wonderful sun room that cools down in the evening..Perfect place to sit and stitch while listening to the frogs in my pond.
I’ve just started cross stitch again! My favorite places are in my comfy camp chair when we go out with our trailer, or in my huge recliner (my father-in-law’s old chair that I adopted after he passed) with my dogs snuggled up next to me. I love hand stitching quilt bindings, but these smaller needleworks are much more portable-and cooler-in the summer!
My favorite place to do handwork is when I’m in the pickup with my husband when we are on the road for a couple of hours. The light is perfect and I have no distractions.
My favorite place to cross stitch was on the porch at the cabin by the lake. It was next to the deck facing the lake and near the hummingbird feeder. It was so peaceful listening to water lapping the shore, trees rustling in the breeze, chipmunks scampering across the deck, and the hummingbirds coming to the feeder.
I like to English paper piece at the lodge in the Shenandoah Forest while my husband is hiking the trails.
I haven’t tried cross-stitching in awhile but you’ve been showing us such cute stitcheries that I’d love to try again. I usually hand embroider in the car when my husband is driving on long trips.
I like to stitch in my easy chair, or in the car while traveling. I have also stitched while on vacation in the Colorado mountains sitting outside soaking up the mountain air.
It’s probably not out of the ordinary, but I like to in bed before I go to sleep. If I’m really tired I make mistakes, so I try not to work on it when I’m extra tired!
I like to stitch on my corner of the couch where the lighting is good and with my little dog curled up next to me.
I like to stitch on my Front Porch. We live in Southern Maryland back in the woods. So peaceful and calming.
I have to stitch at my kitchen table. Not sure if that is out of the ordinary lol
I love to sit outside, when it’s not hot😓😓 Listen to the birds and just relax!
I like to stitch when traveling. I feel better having a small project I can turn to to keep my hands busy.
I like to stitch wherever I have a chance to.
My very out of the way place to cross stitch would be out my back area where I can set up my folding chair and be surrounded by trees, birds and nature. It is so peaceful. I do this early in the morning just after sunrise, its wonderful!
Before I retired I would work on my cross stitch over my lunch hour. Now I enjoy stitching on the couch in winter time or on the deck in the spring, summer, and fall. I tried stitching on the beach but was always dozing off to sleep, probably due drinking too many margaritas!LOL
