My next add will NEED to be a better quilting station. I currently have a Janome with the ‘slip on’ quilting ‘table’, which is tiny, a crafting table slightly taller behind the sewing machine, and a smaller table slightly lower and to the left of the machine. I have the feeling I will have to build it, because I’d rather save the cost of a prebuilt for a long arm! 🙂
I can definately use a new iron. Right now I have a cordless, Maytag and love it but it is getting old and pieces are breaking away on the plastic part. I need to replace it for sure, but need a good deal.
I would love to add a small dresser type with drawers to hide things in, and that would also free up a wall that I have with some tall standing shelves so I can add a design wall above the dresser.
Wish list item – a longarm machine. If I could convince my husband to let me clear out a room we never use, it would be perfect. This may take some time…
I want to replace my Singer Patchwork with a big girl machine!

I would love to add more sewing spots for my friends to bring their machines. We have sewing night on Wednesday’s to work on quilt blocks.
I would love to add a Go cutter and the cube dies to cut time down for cutting out blocks. My friend let me use one of hers one time and I was amazed at how fast I had a quilt top cut out and than pieced together. I would love to add a room to set up all my sewing stuff, but that would have to wait for a while.
I love my studio but during the remodel to make my room the size that it is now, the closet doors were removed. So that is the one thing I would like….closet doors. I want the kind of closet doors that would double as a design wall.
I would love to add a new Ironing space and a small iron, so that I do not have to pull out my bulky ironing board every time i need to use it.
I want to add a wool pressing mat and wool ironing board cover! I have been thinking about it and I do have an old wool blanket and think I am going to attempt to make them. Must be some DIY videos out there showing how to do it.
Your SewLine product bags are fun and so many wonderful useful items.
I would like to add a larger cuttung table.

Well in my first post I did say I’d like to add a room but I’d also love to add a embroidery machine. I didn’t think I’d use one but now all I do is dream about one.
A new cutting station with more drawers and mat, rulers and rotary cutters to go with it. Thanks.
I would love to be able to add more space… but until a child moves out I’m stuck where I am 🙂 I would love to get an embroidery machine but that will have to wait until I do get a “room” for my stuff 🙂
I dream of learn how to use a long arm quilting machine & one day have one of my own!
I would love to add a new Baby Lock Sewing machine!
Shelving or bookcases to store stuff on. And containers to store in
I can’t wait for the Embroidery add on to my Bernina. That’s coming soon.
I would like a bigger room.
A new iron would be nice, but I’m always open to fabric.
A new iron – cordless, fabeic fabric and more
Fabric.
Adding a bigger studio to our property, with a bathroom would be awesome!
I would like to have a new ironing board top that is rectangle for pressing quilts. Also I need new storage unit for fabric. As far as fabric I would love a blue and white snowman bundle to make a second Merry and Bright for a friend. I am making one now in Red and green. Also on my wish list a deeper red and pink and browns fabric collection as I want to make a “cherry chocolates” 6″ basket quilt. Love all the projects you share for us. I have gotten my sister in another state to sign up as well and we love sharing our blocks by cell phone pictures.
I am working on an area in the basement to be dedicated to sewing: Quilting. I always want to add fabrics, patterns and supplies. And more time to see!
A longarm machine would be nice, but since I don’t have room, a lightbox would be pretty useful. 🙂
I would like to add more lighting to my sewing room.
New items for my room would probably be more fabric as I have everything else I can afford and have space for!
I would love a new sewing machine and a bigger room.
Dreaming here, but I need to add lighting! One overhead and two desk lamps aren’t cutting it 😐. Oh, and a doggie bed for my fur baby. She insists on being at my feet when I sew and play the piano…
Thanks for the sewline item reviews!
I would love to add a killer sewing table. I am working on a 1960ish cabinet. The kind that the table folds over the top of the machine to give the look of an end table.
I would love a new iron. Mine is ancient but still works. That Oslo you use looks awesome.
I would love to have a design wall!
I would love to have a big, new room for sewing/quilting only so that I could add a longarm quilt machine. If you’re gonna dream, dream big…..lol
I would like to add “more space” to my quilting/sewing room …. ha, ha, but I need to extend my wall. If I can add a room onto the side of my house, then I will just make a wide doorway into it from my existing room …. problem solved!
I would add more fabric and pattern books from Pat Sloan😄
I love your ideas. I have just started putting my ufo’s in the plastic bins and marking on the front what project is in it.
I also made a pad to write down items that are needed to finish certain projects, such as thread, fabric, batting, markers, embellishments, etc. Then when I go to the store or ordering online, I can get items needed for more than one project that helps me from having to do it several times.
I have a design wall that I made from felt, but I really could use a new iron.
thank you for all your help.
I would love to add a bigger ironing board and cutting area!
I would a nice iron.
Would love a new iron. Mine is slowly dying.
I am blessed to have the little sewing room that I have. No room for big things to be added. But, I am always going to the notions section to see what is new. Then this fabric thing…..I have no self control when in the quilt shop! Some of this, some of that, like a kid in a candy store.
I would love to add an extra room to my house to make a sewing room and one of those fantastic irons that lifts itself up off the surface when not in use I have never seen them in the UK
I would like to add a new ironing board to iron larger pieces of backing.
I would love to have an official sewing station. I am currently working on a large wooden table but would love the ability to have my machine flush & an area for storage of essentials all in one!
My hubby is planning to build a new outdoor metal barn/shop. I’m hoping to add building a new sewing room to the house for me. I would love to have a new rectangular ironing surface.
a new cutting table or design wall. Those would be nice…
We recently redid my sewing area in the basement and I am blessed to have a wonderful work area. But although I love my iron for pressing, I would love it ever more if I could use it for steam. Every iron I have purchased ends up leaking, so I have to resort to spraying my work as I press.
The biggest thing I would like to add is a cover stitch machine. I would love to have one and to know how to use it.
I need a better way to organize my fabric in tote boxes. I have many that are filled with flannel fabric and I can’t see what is in the totes without taking all the fabric out. I quilt for fairs, customers and I teach classes .Help
Bigger is not always better, but you can have enough fat quarters!
