  1. I would love some large pieces of fabric. I donate what I make, buying ufos at quilt shows or haunting thrift stores. Large pieces for backings are my krptonite, I never have enough.

  2. I would love a room dedicated to sewing to keep everything organized. Right now my dining room is my sewing room. It does work nice to use the big table and to be able to see and visit with family, but the mess!!

  3. I think I am up for a new iron. My current one was doing some strange things this last weekend when I was trying to use it.

  4. I would like one of those baby irons and portable ironing surface along with a wee table to take to workshops.

  5. I’d really like to get one of those square wool mats for pressing. The more I learn about quilting the more I see how vital a good press can be!

  6. My next thing I would love to purchase is an updated midarm machine. I currently have an 8-10 year old HQ16 that I bought from a friend. I still want a sit-down. I don’t have the room for a full longarm. Also, new cutting and pressing stations are needed.

  7. I need better lighting. Have the space now just need the lights to be brighter. The older I get the brighter I need. ;^)

  8. I would like to have a light box. It certainly would make tracing for applique a whole lot easier. Until then, it’s the window.

  9. I would like to add (not sure what it’s called) but, it puts your machine at the proper angle so you can keep good posture during sewing.

  10. I have many of the basics, and a stash that needs to get used. I am using my mother’s well used cutting mat though and a new upgrade would be wonderful!

  11. I love my sewing machine but it’s big & can be heavy in the case to take to classes or groups so a smaller, lighter sewing machine would be nice. Second would be expanding my space.

  12. Would love more time, also I have high ceilings and no ceiling light, I use several lamps, still working on a good room size lamp. I have 3 large windows and like bright in that room.

  13. Wow, did some sleuthing to figure out how to send you a note! Thanks for the tutorial! My current wish is for a bigger, wider ironing board. I am just graduating from small projects like wall hangings and table runners to lap quilts and such, and my little board just doesn’t cut it!

  14. I’d love to have a Koala or Horn sewing machine cabinet for machine quilting – even used! My sewing space is small, and with extra tables to hold the quilt while FMQ, it gets pretty cramped.

  15. I want a new, smaller ironing board. I saw on Pintrest a board that had a homemade topper that is a rectangle and covered making the ironing board have more useable space.

  16. I want to get rid of an old china cabinet that is taking up space in my room and replace it with more efficient shelving for storing fabric.
