I bet my husband would love it if I had a design wall, then I wouldn’t lay things out on the bed.
I’m in the process of moving and would like to have sewing room renovated
I would love to add a few of Pat’s books to my sewing room.
I just added a new cutting/storage table. It’s the best thing I’ve done in a long time! No more bending over my small table to cut fabric. And the storage cubes below will be a great spot for sorting scrap fabrics.
I need a design wall and some organization fairies!
In my ongoing effort to make my stuff more accessible in my craft/bedroom, I think an ironing surface with storage underneath will be more efficient than my current free standing ironing board. So, shelves or drawers?? What can I afford?? sigh
A new room would be nice, but time to sort through what I have and purge what I am not using would be even better.
I don’t need anything but would love to have more space to orginize thing I can use everything I have.
My wish to add to sewing space is just to have an organized shelves with new fabrics.
A new machine ! (It’s ordered)
I am currently saving for a new machine. Maybe some day I will have enough. A whole room would be great too though!
I am adding a Koala cabinet to my sewing room. The cabinet has been ordered and I expect delivery by mid-October. I am excited about this new item as it is something I have wanted for over 5 years but couldn’t fit it into my budget until now. I love all your news and recommendations and participate with all your free designs. I have the Splendid Sampler 1 and #2 is on order. Thanks for all your helpful hints.
need a nice iron and cutting tools.
I’ve converted my son’s bedroom into a sewing studio now that he’s married :). I have been organizing and setting it up this summer and really want a wool ironing mat and a full wall design board.
Hmmm…so many things to choose from, but definitely would love a design wall!!
I would love a new iron that lasts!
I would love to get a new machine and so many other things…maybe a new house with a bigger room dedicated to my sewing. Too many things needed!
Storage is my biggest problem. I think it would help to have a larger sewing machine cabinet with storage. That way I would not have wasted space and no boxes of supplies and material that had to be moved when ever I needed to clean the floor.
My sewing room is almost complete! The only big item I want to add to my room is a new Iron. I am wanting an Oliso Iron.
I would love some new fabric for my stash and a new iron, one like you see on the quilt programs that lift up when you leave it. That would be so wonderful. Thanks.
Lots and lots of AURIFIL thread.
Looking to add a new sunroom next year and shift things around. Than I’ll have a lot more space for sewing!
One of the items that I could use beside a Design Wall would be a circle cutter.
More storage! I have a shelf unit and a small pie safe and then I have paper grocery sacks. Does not make anything look tidy with those sitting around especially since my sewing space is a corner of my living room! I want to have a deeper pie safe made. I have a desk from my great-great uncle that survived being scorched in a fire. It needs a new top, and then we’ll paint it all, and I can slide more storage under the top too.
I would love my own space. Right now I use a guest room.
More space! I have a long arm that I don’t use and need to move it out. Then I would be able to get into my sewing room!
A pattern organization and storage system.
I have a new Sewing table and machine. Now I need one more cabinet to hold more fabric. I am thinking of taking my husbands books out of the bookcase and using that. I wonder how much trouble I would get in to.
Closet Organizers would give me so much more storage!
I love fat quarter bundles because they are already co-ordinated for me which choosing fabric is my most stressful problem in starting a project.
I would actually like a new iron that produces a great shot of steam for ironing out wrinkles in folded fabrics!
I would love to get an Oliso iron in the near future. I have requested a light tablet for my birthday next month. Fingers crossed.
I want to add a larger storage space for fabric. I would like more drawers or shelves that are closed. Dust is a problem for me.
I’d like to get a new sewing machine and serger desk. The one I have now is too big, it takes up the whole room.
I would like to add better lighting.
I would love to have a new sewing machine with great specialty stitches. Thanks
I would like to have a design wall. But fat quarters or buttons would be nice to have.
I would love to have an Iron that did not spit or get so hot I can’t use it to get good points… I also would love a bigger cutting table. I make do but it would help a ton!! 😉
I would love a computerized long arm machine and frame, but I don’t have any space for it.
Would definitely like to have a new iron!
Having so many extra fabrics, love the ideas with scrapy quilt.. looking forward for new stuff
I want to add a large ironing board. Fabrics slip off the normal size ironing board. So frustrating!!!
I have a spot that would be perfect for a tall narrow bookshelf, that is my next acquisition.
I want a new machine. I have been using an old sewing machine left over from when my mom taught sewing classes some moons ago. It has served it’s purpose, but is not designed for quilting. I’d like to step it up so that I can do FMQ more easily.
Add uniform boxes for storing all my extra fabric
Love your sewing room. I would like to add a office assistant in pink.
Love you sewing room. I would like to add a office assistant in pink.
139 Maple Terrace
I’d love a second sewing machine — one with a bigger throat so I can learn to machine quilt
I need more time to organize my sewing area. I’d like to add a rolling sewing chair instead of the stationary, non-rolling chair I’m currently using.
