  1. My dream would be to have a design wall that is actually attached to my wall. My sister made me a small one that I lean up against a table but it always seems to fall down a crack. It is so nice to be able to see what your squares will look l8ke together

  2. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE a new Baby Lock like the one you use. Mine are all straight stitchers – but really would like to branch out with different stitches!

  3. I would like to add some more room to work, so I guess I’d better get to work and use up lots of fabric and organize the clutter.

  4. I am hoping to add more ikea shelving soon, if I can make the time to get there. I don’t have one in my state, and it’s way to expensive to ship that stuff. So I plan my ikea shopping when I make a trip to my sisters who lives just 15 minutes from one in Kansas. It’s a two hour drive for us and we just hook our trailer up to the truck. I’d like to say finding the time to visit my sister is super easy, but we both have a lot of life happening. So it’s not as easy as we like. So ikea shelves are on hold.

  5. What I would like to add to my sewing room ~ would be a new paint job. My walls are a muddy tan off white that came with the house. I would like to update the paint job and make the room bright and pretty. And then of course some kind of organization. I have all these cupboards and shelves that I found in thrift shops. They are cute, and shabby chic, but I just about over shabby chic and would love to do something a little more efficient, and organized. And last, a bigger tv. I have a small tv in my sewing room. I just like to watch my favorite football teams now that football has begun again. Need bigger tv, I can barely see what is going on.
Thanks ! and I love seeing what you are doing with your sewing room !

  6. Since you mention it, I would love a whole room! But since that’s not likely, I always am wishing for a new fat quarter bundle!! Thanks, Pat for this site and all the fun!

  7. My dream is a new sewing machine, the next step up from my current Pfaff. My more realistic wish is just a little student desk that I could set next to my sewing machine, for ironing and setting up blocks and appliqué.

  8. In my tight sewing area, I would love to find room for a full size design wall to replace my often-too-small portable 4’x5′ flannel covered insulation board. OR I would like to buy a mega size ironing board top!

  9. I need a room. I sew in the living room. My cutting table is a pool table. My supplies are in three different places, closet, cabinet and the garage. I either leave 5ings out or I have to clean up completely when company isn’t coming over. Oh and a new iron. A new iron would be good too.

  10. I think I would like to add a really good new iron. I have been looking at the pink one like you (Pat) had on your site, but I was discouraged after reading negative reports listed on Amazon. So far I haven’t bought one, still just looking. I bought a little travel iron to use with a small mat. It works well for piecing but is a real pain for anything larger than a block. Pressing fabric yardage is really hard on that small pad with the small iron. My old iron is about dead. Doesn’t get hot enough. It’s ok, it is a cheap Black & Decker and ready for the trash.

  11. Hmmm, just bought an iron from you, so don’t need an iron anymore. What I need is more space, but nobody can help with that! But if I had one of those wool mats, that might save me some space.

  12. My sewing room is also my guest room and it’s the smallest room in the house but it has the largest closet besides my master room one. I need open storage for a small room that is cute but usable. I am also trying to figure out how to have an ironing spot without having to use my big ironing board. In my next home my creative spaces will be next to the main living area with doors to be able to close it off of wanted. Right now my sewing and art rooms are upstairs.

  13. I would add better storage so that i could look in one place for items. Also, I would take out the non-sewing stuff that shares the room.

  14. Love your passion to share your story. I would love to add filler fabric to my collection so I’m not going the the fabric shop every time I start a project

  15. Have you ever seen this drop down tables they use in a doctors office for writing on the charts? I’d kill for one of this on my wall for when I’m working on a project but with an added bonus of having a second piece that could drop down and hold everything in place for when you flip it up to close it. I constantly have to stop what I’m working on. The cats run across my project, the baby pulls things off the table, and my 7byear old literally through a nerf ball at my cutting mat while I was cutting…….wait can I just change that to a wall lol. I’d just love a way to not have to put up my entire project every time I’m working on something.

  16. I want to add a design wall. Not sure where it will be. I’m thinking of something that can be rolled up and down when needed…..have to see what I come up with. I have a very small space with not much wall space.

  17. A wool ironing mat is what I would like to add to my sewing space. Well and a whole new ironing station. 🙂 Thank you for all of the inspiration!

  18. I would love to have a new iron and a permanent design wall. Right now I’m using flannel fabric on a curtain rod and the fabric squares do not stick.

  19. Oh my, I want to add to my space. Hubby and I are talking about taking a wall out and making two small bedrooms one large space.

  20. Would love to get my sewing room moved to one of our larger rooms and in doing so would have more shelving units and larger working space. Would love to have a new iron and of course more fabric! The love of fabric!!! Yes, please!!!

  21. I would love to have a room where everything is in the same room. No more running out to the dining room for cutting and ironing. No more having to put everything away when someone comes over.

  22. I would love to add a small FMQ machine. I am beginning to be able to do a decent stipple on quilts, and now need to move on to more detailed quilting.

  23. First , I need to add the sewing space, lol.. but, I have wanted a pink Oliso iron for a long time. After the space, I will be saving up for that..

  25. I do my sewing in my basement. It has been great in the summer, but in winter it gets cold. Therefore, I would like to add a pellet stove to my work space! Ha ha, not a typical sewing tool, but it sure would make my sewing time more cozy!

  26. I would like to add an oversize ironing board that fits over a regular ironing board. And a new iron to go with it.
