The Random picker decided my Logcabin quilt should live with Joann S who said
"My favorite quilt is the first quilt I ever made! My daughter wanted to learn to quilt and she convinced me to take a couple of classes at our fabric store – I was only mildly enthusiastic about quilting – even though I had been a sewer for years. I decided to check out additional classes for us at my local quilt shop and there on the wall was this wonderful quilt with birds on branches. When I asked about it – they told me they were having a retreat the following weekend to make this quilt! I signed up -( my daughter couldn’t attend for family reasons). I made that quilt, which I adore ( it hangs in my sewing room!). Since making that quilt, I am completely hooked on quilting! I had heard people talk about quilting as an addiction, but didn’t understand it until then. This was the quilt that got me to become a quilter!"
Congratulations Joann! I've emailed you

I suppose my favorite quilt is always the one I’ve just finished. Like holding a newborn child, I’m in awe that I created this! That I finished it, haha. Would love to win your celebratory giveaway as log cabin is probably near the top of my list of favorite patterns. thanks for lifting me up each day as I watch your smiley face and hear your giggles. god bless.
My favourite quilt to make was a Minecraft quilt that I made for my grandson. It was so much fun to make. It was like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. I put his name down one side & on the back there was a big dragon. He absolutely loved it.
My first quilt was a blue fence rail. The backing has the pledge of allegiance on the back.
I made a log cabin quilt 30 years ago (i’m still quilting) for my husband who is now a retired firefighter He stayed overnight at the fire house and this was for him at bedtime (between fires) Now my son is a firefighter and I would love to give him this log cabin quilt, even though its not made by me its made with love from u pat.
I love the quilt I made for my daugher’s high school graduation. It is music themed with the colors of the University she is attending. It hangs in her room on a quilt rack.
My favorite……..so hard to choose……..is a civil war sampler quilt designed by Debbie at Piecing the Past Quilts. Love the variation of colors and designs.
Hi Pat! My favorite quilt is still the Stomping Grounds quilt I made for my granddaughter’s graduation from the University of Alabama (their mascot is an elephant) a year ago. It had a black background and all the tusks were white and the elephants were various U of A fabrics. I also made her a matching pillow. This month she graduated with her Master’s Degree and I’m so very proud of her and can’t wait to see how her life unfolds from here. I loved making this quilt for her and she loves having it.
My favorite quilt is not actually a quilt. I used the log cabin pattern in shades of blue to make a curtain for my patio door.
My favorite quilt would have to be one that I made a few years back. It has pairs of the same stars, using two colors for each star but alternating the layout between the two colors. Hard for me to explain!! I set it on a black background. I named it Sisters because the stars are the same but each pair in different colors signifying sisters, the same but so different from each other.
My favorite quilt I made is The Irish Chain. I used shades of green. I made it in memory of my Step-father from Ireland almost 15 years ago. It makes me happy and keeps a smile on my face.
My favorite quilt is one I made 39 years ago for my youngest child (he will be 40 this December). I still have it. It was simply a large gingham in yellow with prairie point edges. What was I thinking? I retired in 2020 and have sewing quilt ‘flimsies’ and watching you since.
My favorite quilt that I have made is Lori holts scrappiness is happiness which is finished but still needs to be quilted. I thought your next block Wednesday was going to be chicken salad?
Love my very quilt that made was queen size stained glass quilt with all different colors.
My favorite quilt was made for my grandson for Christmas. It was made from my husbands old jeans and bright flannels. I had my cousin machine embroidery on a denim block “grandpa’s jeans and grandma’s needles”. I made half square triangles and created different blocks with them.
My favorite quilt I made is my bargello quilt that I made about 4 years ago. I just love bargello patterns and plan to make some others. Thanks for a chance to win.
My favorite finished quilt is my Farm Girl Vintage quilt. I made two of them for my grandsons when they were born. They get washed and loved often. I very much enjoy your videos. Thanks.
So hard to pick a favorite. But I am going to say my first quilt. I found a bag of squares cut from denim and red fabric at the Goodwill. Sewed them together and tied them. We use it as our picnic quilt. Thank you Pat for all you do.
The favorite quilt I’ve made (so far) is the Star of Bethlehem pattern in blues. This was special for me because my grandmother made the same pattern in rainbow colors and I remember her showing me her quilts which I thought were lovely.
My favorite quilt is a Barn Raising a group project. We were instructed to pick some light and dark fabric, cut it into 2” strips. Make up enough strip packs for at least 8 ladies ,then we swapped packs. Then you put the lights in a paper grocery bag, and the darks in another paper grocery bag, then for each side pick from the dark bag or from the light ( no peeking). It such a good time and a good way to use stash fabric.
My favorite quilt is my first appliqué quilt I finished. I participated in a BOM in 1997. I still enjoy seeing it hanging on the wall.
My favorite quilt I’ve made thus far was the Serendipity Infinity quilt for my son.
Good morning, my favorite quilt I have made was from a box of four patch, squares and parts of a wedding ring quilt that my grandmother pieced by hand and left me in a shoebox. I stitched by hand, some of the leftover squares into more for Patches put the wedding ring pieces on either a yellow or pink background and framed with the four patch squares and then I put hand quilting and machine quilting out a quilt. It’s my favorite because it reminds me of my grandma every time I look at it.
Pat you are very generous
I would love a log cabin quilt you made
I have tried to make one without success
Thanks for all you share with us
Nancy
My family loves the first quilt that I finished. It is a bow tie quilt that I hand quilted in the early 80’s. It is so soft and well loved.
Oh my goodness! I love your red log cabin quilt, and my favorite of my own quilts happens to be one made with a panel. The reason it is my favorite is because it was the last quilt I made for my dad before he passed away in 2016. He loved the Pickles comic strip and read it everyday. The panel was a Pickles comic strip panel and instead of flowers on his coffin, we used the quilt as it was so my dad. Just thinking about it makes me cry. It’s not always the work put into a quilt, but the person the quilt is for that it makes some quilts more treasured than others.
My favorite quilt is my first. A red, white and blue Log Cabin throw I made for my retired Army husband. He is now gone but I always smile when I look at the well used and loved throw!
Oh Happy Day SAL with Corey Yoder using a 3 Sister fabric in blue, green and creanm.
Hard to pick a favorite, but mine is a cardinal quilt. It has 20 cardinal blocks made from a layer cake. I made it for my friend who lost her adult son suddenly and she loves cardinals. My other friend loves cardinals and saw it and was envious. I’m going to start one for her this week! Thanks for the chance to win! Love your videos!
My favorite quilt is a Bear Paw quilt I made and gave to my father-in-law for Christmas. I had so much fun picking out the green, black and grey fabrics for this quilt. I smile every time I see this quilt because 1.) It reminds me of my father-in-law, and 2.) I have to chuckle every time I take a look at the machine quilting I did as this was done BEFORE I figured out that I needed to drop the feed dogs when stippling. What a labor of love that was!
My favorite quilt is my 50th birthday quilt I made myself out of yellow background and aunt grace fabric. I hand quilted it using a 2” grid pattern. Makes me smile every time I see it. Took me 2 years in and off to quilt it but it was well worth it!!!!
My favorite quilt is “Trees up, Lights on”. Then again my other favorite is usually the one that I’ve just completed!
My favorite quilt I have made was a curvy log cabin.I used all my scraps that were aqua colored. I gifted it to my step daughter. Thanks, Pat for all you do for the quilting world! Love starting my day with coffee and your video!
One of my favourite quilts I made was for my son’s graduation gift…it was a disappearing 9 patch in black, electric blue, greys and white. He loved it.
My favorite quilt I have finished so far is a queen size double wedding ring quilt I made for my son and daughter in law. I am very new to quilting and I was determined to finish it before the wedding, which I did!! It was the first time I used free motion quilting and I completed all of it on my domestic machine.
My favorite quilt was actually my first. It was a Noah’s Ark fabric that I received from my MIL’s fabric stash after she passed away. The baby quilt went to one of her great grand daughters that she was never able to meet. It was such a pleasure to be able to continue the family tradition of quilting.
My favourite quilt is like for many people, the one I’m currently working on… To choose a past favourite though, I think I might go with the String Bean that we did as a March sew-along. I “grew “ mine to fit a queen size bed as a bedspread and used Tula fabric with the large flamingoes as the border. It covers a guest bed at my cottage and it makes me happy every time I look into that room! Thank you for all that you do – you are part of my daily routine – I appreciate all of your hard work in bringing such wonderful content to my little part of New Brunswick, Canada .
Favorite quilt would be like picking a favorite child! The quilt that stands out in my quilt journey is one of fussy cut octagons
Started in a class with Kaffe Fasset. It was a great color study! What a generous way to celebrate your milestone! Stowestudio
My favorite quilt is Sweet Dreams your sew along from 2022, I made it to go on my bed and just love it.
Thank you for all you do Pat.
My favorite quilt is the one I made from my wedding dress for my first grandchild. I was a novice quilter at the time and did not know making a quilt with satin and lace was maybe not a good idea. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. I made 6 inch squares, lace borders. My backing was white flannel. It is a beautiful quilt with so much meaning.
My favorite quilt I’ve ever made is a tiny flannel quilt I made for my granddaughter. It isn’t fancy at all but she loves it and totes it everywhere. It’s my favorite because she loves it so.
I made a canning jar quilt using all my scraps. I love to look at the fabrics. It reminds me of all the quilts that I have made for my family and friends.
My favorite quilt is the 9″ quilt, made in 9 patch layout. The blocks included 4 maple leaf blocks, a center 9 patch and 4 other blocks commemorating 09/09/1999. This was my 54th birthday (5+4=9) and I celebrated at the “Take It to the Nines” quilt show. The show was held at a gift shop at 9th east in downtown Salt Lake City. Each entry in the show received $9 prize money. To this day, that little quilt brings a smile to my face.
My favourite quilt I made is a baby quilt with three giraffes which was the theme for my first grandbaby’s room.
My most favorite quilt? Hmmmm That’s a tough one. Maybe the Churn Dash one..Or maybe one called Square Dance…Or the Bear Paw with ombre fabric…And, I love scrap quilts…I don’t think I have a favorite so far.
My favorite quilt is a Christmas quilt that I made. It has an All Roads Lead Home for Christmas panel in the middle with black, red, and red with white snowflakes rail fences leading to the panel.
My favorite quilt is an orphan block quilt I made during Covid. I had so many orphan blocks, but ended up making more to fit unusual spaces like you did with the critter quilt. I just love it. I hang it on the wall in my dining room.
My hunters star quilt in multiple shades of blue.
My favorite quilt was my first that I gave to my sister. Pickers Patch
My most favorite quilt is the first flannel quilt from the 90’s. It is still in great shape, still soft, and very snuggly. Congrats on 100,000+ members!
My favorite quilt that I made was my first quilt. It’s grandmother’s fan in pinks and gray. It certainly isn’t perfect but it was the start of my quilt journey. I was inspired by my Mom who was my quilting buddy until her death at age 94. Thanks, Pat.
