The Random picker decided my Logcabin quilt should live with Joann S who said
"My favorite quilt is the first quilt I ever made! My daughter wanted to learn to quilt and she convinced me to take a couple of classes at our fabric store – I was only mildly enthusiastic about quilting – even though I had been a sewer for years. I decided to check out additional classes for us at my local quilt shop and there on the wall was this wonderful quilt with birds on branches. When I asked about it – they told me they were having a retreat the following weekend to make this quilt! I signed up -( my daughter couldn’t attend for family reasons). I made that quilt, which I adore ( it hangs in my sewing room!). Since making that quilt, I am completely hooked on quilting! I had heard people talk about quilting as an addiction, but didn’t understand it until then. This was the quilt that got me to become a quilter!"
Congratulations Joann! I've emailed you

Thank You for everything you do for the quilting world!! Your personality is amazing and exactly what I need every morning to start my stitching day❤️. I’ve been watching you for over 2 years
I made a eye spy quilt for my grandson and put the Minnesota Shop Hop fabric in my stash as the backing. I used 5″ squares for the pint jars and rounded the corners with white fabric and the jars had gray lids. Each of the jars had something different in them per the fabric. There were bugs, fruit, buttons, school buses and the like. Decker has so much fun playing with the me on the floor. I also made a quart size using 5″ X 10″ rectangles with sewing supplies in them but it is a wallhanging. Thanks for all you do for us and congratulations on 100,000 subscribers. Love you!!!!! Happy fall……..
My favorite quilt was the quilt I made for my first granddaughter. I don’t t even remember the pattern, but I clearly remember how much love that went into every stitch!
My favorite quilt was my first one. I gave it to our adult daughter for Christmas. She loved it. It was a rail fence and I used Debbie Mumm fabric with kitties on it – browns and creams. We both cried when she opened it.
My favorite quilt that I’ve made is a variatiion of Corey Yoder’s Springbrook Blossoms. I made flowers using black daisy fabric with cheerful yellow 6″ block centers. I made it double sided using a “Save the Bees” panel on the back. I gave it to my cousin. I happened to finish it just before the loss of her sister so it was a big hug from me. She had tear in her eyes when I gave it to her. Now I want to make another for myself!
Thank you Pat for all you do! My day isn’t started right until I watch your video!
My favorite quilt that I finished was a Baltimore Album quilt. I took a class at my local quilt shop using the book, Baltimore Beauties and Beyond by Elly Sienkiewicz. That was my introduction to hand applique. I machine quilted and finished it in 2015. That started my love of applique in hand and machine techniques.
My favorite quilt I made was your Childhood Memories pattern!!! I pulled fabrics from my stash that meant something to me for each block!! Yes, I have that much and more in my stash… I have made a few log cabin blocks but never a full size quilt and in red, my favorite color too!!!
my all time favorite quilt is red/white that includes blocks hand embroidered (this part took a year) and a pattern I designed. One of my sister-in-laws put claims on it when I die but I prefer it going to one of my sons and I am now working on a second one in blue/white…so each son will get one of my special quilts.
My favourite quilt is made from William Morris reproduction fabrics. A store owner gave me cap sets a salesperson had left her which she decided to gift to me! I added to that bundle and made a Crazy Nine-patch
that my Mum handquilted for me. It has been on my bed ever since it was completed.
The favorite quilt that I made is the “Hometown Charms” quilt along. It brought back so many fond memories. Thank you Pat ♥️
The favorite quilt that I made was the Botanica Park Block of the Month. It is a huge quilt and made with the most gorgeous batiks in beautiful shades of purples, wine reds, greens and more. It was the first block of the month I ever made and it is a gorgeous medallion style. I am very proud of this one!
My favorite quilt it the one I made for myself. It is a breast cancer quilt. It’s a reminder that I can handle anything and survive!
It’s really hard to pick a favourite quilt! I have more emotional attachment to the earliest ones I made-simple rail fences or a double Irish chain made for family. I guess I’d pick the one made for my oldest Grandson – rail fence bunk sized. I found a very colourful fabric with alligators or crocodiles on it. It’s his story quilt! I told him a story one day about a crocodile- maybe I should write the book!
my favorite quilt is all of them!lol one of my favorite quilts is a blue and white and a sashing that has 2 color 9 patch corner setting stones
My sisters and I had a very special relationship with our Dad. He was a big man and had such a great way with people. He loved life’s simple pleasures, including God’s beautiful sunflowers. Several years after he died, I made a sunflower quilt for both of my sisters to celebrate, remember and honor our Dad. They were among the very first quilts I have made, but are still…to this day…my favorites. ❤️❤️
My personal favorite quilt is a blue and yellow log cabin I did about 10 years ago. My most meaningful was a flannel rag and tee shirt quilt I did for my son’s best friend during his pancreatic cancer battle. His wife still sleeps with it 9 years later.
My favorite and the first quilt I made was a birthday gift for my husband. I made it from his collection of Harley Davidson t-shirts from Harley stores all over he world. I had no idea what I was doing but I got it done and a local quilt shop held my hand and quilted it for me.
First of all, thank you for your tutorials and quilt alongs. I have a few favourites. I started sewing with you in 2017, my favorite block Wednesday is “in the summertime”. My 2nd favorite is Christmas figs, using Joanna Figueroa’s book, and my most recent favorite is the Barnstar sampler. I wish I had done the festivals and fireworks with you. Thank you Pat
My favorite quilt is a BOM via Fons and Porter. It’s Orange and Green with lots of florals. Many different squares around the feathered Star medallion as the center. Have entered it in several unjudged shows. Was my first major custom quilting on my longarm. I waited at least a year after I got my longarm before I was brave enough to quilt it.
My favorite quilt that I’ve made is the Walk About pattern. I made it using sunflower fabric combined with some beautiful blue fabric. I gifted it to my grand daughter for her 24th birthday. She saw it on my design wall and loved it, not knowing it was for her.
My favorite quilt was a winter bird in blue quilt that i quilted with rulers on my longarm…it’s my winter quilt for my bed.
My favorite quilt is one I call Two Nations. I designed it using blocks with a “Native American” reference in their names; quilted with geckos, Kokopelli’s, etc. However the fabric was reproduction civil war fabric. To me Two Nations are represented in the quilt: North vs. South; but also Native Americans and the white settlers of our country. It represents how we have merged.
My favorite quilt so far is all of them. hahaha If I had to pick, Just add shortcake. I love all your fabric lines and had to get this kit. Loved it. Congratulations, Pat. Blessings
MY favorite quilt I have made is one I called Stars and Stripes Forever using 20 fat quarters of red, white and blue . It is lively and exuberant.
My favorite quilt is the one I made for my granddaughter. I was a chenille lamb. She has loved that quilt to pieces.
I made a log cabin table runner but would like to make quilt. Only been quilting for 3 years.
My favorite quilt is one I made for my Son and Daughter-In-Law, the Delectable Mountain Quilt. I made it in white and blues to reflect the White Mountains where they live in New Hampshire. It was a king size quilt with matching pillow cases.
My recent favorite is Summer Starlets that I made with your Porch Swing fabric. I gifted it my daughter. She loves purple. It turned out so nice and she loved it. What a fun project.
The one I remember was a t-shirt quilt for my niece from all her grade/high school. she was happy and suprised. Iris S.
My first one, oddly enough, is my favorite. It’s a lone star quilt using Venice by Robert Kaufman. It came out incredibly with it’s colors. Once it was done it became my favorite. Right now it’s sitting on my bed as my husband loves it.
I think that my favorite quit that I have ever made would have to be the very first one that I made. It was big pinwheel blocks and was really waxy looking back on it, but it made me fall in love with quilting. Congratulations on 100,00 subscribers?
Ooops, I think I left my comment in the wrong place, so I will do it again. I just love watching you on youtube. I work from home and it is the first thing I watch each morning. My favorite quilt I made was a memory quilt (I made 2 almost identical ones) for my mom and my aunt made from my Gramma’s and Papa’s clothing. I just loved the way they turned out.
My favorite quilt is the charity bountiful basket quilt, it’s so cheerful, im sure if you were to ask a year from no I would have a different favorite
I love the Mariners Compass King Size Quilt. I made for my Daughter.
My favourite quilt was a lap quilt which I made for my Dad when he went in to residential care. It was yellow, grey and white. It was a pieced quilt which I made using pieces cut on the Accuquilt. It was a very difficult time for us but it ended up being a real focal point in his room and the colours were very bright and summery. He has sadly passed now but the quilt lives on with his granddaughter.
Thank you for all you do on the channel.
Pat, I love your quilt red, red everything red! My favorite quilt that I have completed was the last one I just finished. My mother has since passed away but in the 70s paint embroidery just came out. My mother purchased all of the liquid paint and beautiful butterflies 🦋 squares to color in. I was lucky enough to receive all of her quilting supplies and projects when she passed. one of the items was the butterflies blocks. I quilted it With butterflies, bees and flowers (I have a long arms too). I went on a road trip this weekend and binded my new king size quilt. A mom and daughter project.!. It is quite lovely. Thanks for all you do Sheryl.
My favorite quilt finish is a Mardi Gras quilt I made for the retiring president of our Mardi Gras group. He’s suffering from ALS and had to give up the position he’s held for 10 years. I had members sign the back if it so he could wrap himself in good wishes and appreciation forever. He takes it everywhere he goes. This give me great joy.
My favorite quilt so far is one I made with Kansas Troubles fabric and used the log cabin quilt block. The colors are so rich and the quilt is gorgeous! This is the first quilt block I learned how to make and has always been my favorite. I do love a good star block too…They are all good!!! Thanks for all you do for all the adventures you take us on with your projects and sharing new things happening in quilting. CONGRATS on 100k!!!
Good Morning! My absolute favorite quilt from you is my wonderful butterfly quilt. The fabric and colors were all from my stash. I love a challenge and this was my greatest one yet. Thank you so much for always giving us fantastic sew alongs and helping us learn new things each time. Love Karen Bowser
My favorite quilt- so far my Favorite quilt that I have made is improvisational rectangles (all from a batik bundle) and each rectangle had a black shadow box setting. I loved choosing all the contrasting colors to make my “new” fabric and each block is different from the next, but beautiful together. And finally, I love it because my 24 year old son picked this design out of a magazine when I asked him what type of quilt he would like. I don’t think I would have tried it otherwise, but ended up loving the process and the end result!
Ugh! My favorite quilt!! I’ve been quilting for over 30 years, technically I started in high school art class creating my own batiks. My mom would sew my hand waxed and dyed by me blocks to make a quilt (I thought I hated sewing then😳 it was actually her machine) Since I started with batiks I still alway gravitate to them so my favorite quilt today is my Jacob’s Ladder. It was made from what appeared to be the most luscious blue imaginable (mistake I only bought 2 yards) At some point I realized I needed a border and tried to match it….IT’S PURPLE! Impossible to match..put out a call to my FB friends and 1yard was found on the top of the pile at Hancock’s of Paducah clearance table!!! She shipped it home to me and requested to not be paid as she always wanted to be part of the miracle!
Congratulations! My favorite quilt is one of my first quilts. I did a Thimbleberries sampler that I found at a new to me quilt shop. She had all twelve of the blocks kitted up so I bought them. I learned so much and really loved all the colors. It still hangs today on a quilt ladder in our living room. Becky
My sister brought home fabric from her Africa mission trip. I made her a beautiful quilt using those materials. Their fabric is quite a bit different then ours. It is in our bed in the guest room. It is for all our guest to use when they visit. It has been getting lot of use this year.
My favorite quilt was an “Oh My Stars” quilt. I used photos of my niece that were from her Special Olympics World Games. She swims in competition in the pool and also does sea swims. Her first coach, mentor and inspiration died from cancer. My all time favorite photo is in this quilt with Miss Penny, her coach looking adorably at my niece. Thank you Pat for the amazing pattern!❤️
My favorite quilt I have made is the one I made for my grandson when he was born. It had a truck theme (they lived in Texas) and had a big truck appliqué on the front with a dog in the bed. The borders were tires and roads and road signs. The backing was a playmat design with a city and roads for his toy cars when he was older.
Scrappiness is Happiness Sampler quilt is my favorite! It was made from all of the Sew Sampler fabrics that I have collected over the years and I used several white on white fabrics for the background. This is my first and only scrap quilt I have ever made. I loved making it and can’t wait to make another scrappy quilt.
My current favorite is a medallion quilt that is hanging above our couch. I had been planning it for years and it is finally finished!
Hello Pat
My trip around the world is the first quilt I finished.
My favorite quilt is my “Cozy Things” quilt. I made it with bee fabrics in yellow, grey, and black. I even used yellow ric rac in the binding. It was my first Pat Sloan SAL and is my favorite to this day.
I have been a sewer/crafter all my life (I am in my seventies). My favorite quilt is the first one completed in 1999. I took a four block sampler quilt class at a local quilt shop and I loved it so much I added more blocks and made it a lap quilt. The class taught me some basic blocks, then I joined a quilt guild and searched for more blocks and techniques. I use that quilt all the time, and it reminds me how far I have come in quilting. In the 20+ years of quilting, I have met so many fantastic quilters and very much appreciate how special quilters are in so many ways. My first quilt book purchase was Eleanor Burns, Log Cabin Quilt in a Day which I never made. The log cabin is still on my TBD list! Thank you, Pat, for all your work promoting quilting. You are an inspiration to us all.
