The Random picker decided my Logcabin quilt should live with Joann S who said
"My favorite quilt is the first quilt I ever made! My daughter wanted to learn to quilt and she convinced me to take a couple of classes at our fabric store – I was only mildly enthusiastic about quilting – even though I had been a sewer for years. I decided to check out additional classes for us at my local quilt shop and there on the wall was this wonderful quilt with birds on branches. When I asked about it – they told me they were having a retreat the following weekend to make this quilt! I signed up -( my daughter couldn’t attend for family reasons). I made that quilt, which I adore ( it hangs in my sewing room!). Since making that quilt, I am completely hooked on quilting! I had heard people talk about quilting as an addiction, but didn’t understand it until then. This was the quilt that got me to become a quilter!"
Congratulations Joann! I've emailed you

My favorite quilt is a cat quilt I made for my granddaughter, It has 12 Kaffe Fasset fabric cats appliqued to coordinating grunge rec5angles. Each cat has a coordinating appliqued heart. It is so bright and happy, just like my granddaughter.
My quilt that I finished was the Irish chain quilt with embroidery on it
My favorite quilt was a pineapple quilt made from plaid shirts from thrift store, garage sales, and some family members. My husband and I when we travelled would stop at resale shops all over the United States to find these shirts. I have so much fabric left. I washed each one and deconstructed. I ironed and folded each one. The quilt is a large 90 x 100. We had to downsize and most of my quilts were dispersed to family members. This is the one I could not part with.
My favorite quilt was made for my daughter and son-in-law who are skiers. I made a ski themed quilt and embroidered ski sayings around the perimeter.
My favorite quilt is the one I make for someone else for a special need. I make it the intention and enjoy giving it to that special person. I remember I had once stayed up all night to finish a baby quilt for a funeral to give to the parents the next day. I finished it and delivered it and went home to sleep. Quilting is my happy place when all else is not. Rp
My favorite quilt is a round robin quilt I made with 3 friends many years ago. Thanks, Pat, for the chance to win your beautiful quilt!
My favorite quilt is one inspired by Marti Mitchell’s pattern “Too Pretty to Be Called a Railroad Crossing Quilt”. I named mine “Road to Recovery” because I collected all the fabric on a shop hop following my recovery from treatment for stage 3 breast cancer. That was in 1997. I am cancer free today. God is good!
My favorite quilt I made was “OH MY STARS” by Pat. Beautiful colors for my granddaughter. 🙌❤️
It’s so hard to pick just one, but it would probably be the one I made for my daughter before she went off to college. It had girly fun colors and prints (many from clothes I had made her) and combined pieced blocks with appliquéd stems and flowers in the border. I love your daily video. You help me start my day with happiness and inspiration. Thanks Pat!
My favorite quilt so far is a variation of Jacob’s Ladder. It was made with a beautiful layer cake with luscious florals. My mom calls it a wedding quilt.
When mom was diagnosed with leukemia and we knew she would have a long hospital stay, I suggested we each make a quilt. One for her to take to the hospital and one to comfort me while we were apart. We made the same pattern. We enjoyed the fabric selection process and quiltmaking together. Thankfully, she is a survivor. That quilt is my favorite for so many reasons. Great memories together during a difficult time.
Happy Everything is by far my favorite quilt. It was my first sew along with you! I am usually sewing charity quilts or quilts for family and friends. I decided this one was for me! I used Cory Yoder’s Spring Brook and added a few pieces from my stash. I swapped out one block with two gray cats facing each other. One is solid gray the other gray stripped to mimic my two fur babies. I love the way the quilt turned out plus I learned so much along the way. I’m looking forward to joining you for the pieced Chicken Salad sew along. I’m naming mine . . . Grandma’s Kitchen, in remembrance of my grandmother who was never without an apron!
My favorite quilt so far is my Hunter Quilt. I love the primary and secondary design within the pattern.
Favorite quilt is a scrappy red strip quilt that I made just for me. Use everyday!
Congratulations – I enjoy your show and learn so very much-keep up the great work!!
My favorite quilt I ever made was a product of a Shop Hop at the Houston International Quilt Show from several years ago. It was mostly black and gold and was essentially a log cabin quilt. After completion, I donated it to my church raffle. The recipient was a very gracious lady who was well pleased with it. This quilt brought me JOY.
My favorite quilt is one I made for my granddaughter,”Oh My Stars” in blue and yellow floral. I love these colors!
I would really love to win your log cabin quilt. I tried to make a log cabin carpenter star quilt, but I moved away from a friend in Virginia who was helping me (plus it was discovered I had a brain tumor, which didn’t help my way of thinking!) 😳. Anyway I couldn’t get the blocked even! So I gave up! I’m still disappointed I didn’t finish it.
I love watching your videos, which I have been watching everyday for about 5 years now.
Loved your red pineapple dress today!
Vickie
My favorite quilt that I’ve made is a Lone Star using beautiful floral fabrics with pink grunge. While making it for her, the colors reminded me of an area rug she bought, so in my brain I referred to it as the quilt “like that rug.” When I finally gave it to her, her first words were, “Oooo, it’s like my rug.” Probably not the most accurate or pleasing description, but it means a lot to both of us.
So hard to pick one… I have made duplicates of some quilts I have given away. Does that count?😁 Recent duplicate was Lori Holt’s red sampler. One for me and one for my daughter. I can think of stories about quilts made. I just love the process
And the products.
My first and favourite quilt was twelve hand appliquéd 12” crinoline ladies. Each lady was different, holding a fan or a book or a flower. The top and bottom panels were arbours of curved wrought iron in teal – I learnt a lot about appliqué on curves. It was a beautiful Joy White pattern and I had the privilege of making it in a weekly Saturday classes with her for several months. However, it bested me. I was young and loved stitching, but it was my first quilt and I was naive about the time commitment a piece like that needed. Fortunately, life is sometimes kind. In my retirement, some 25+ years later, I’m not ashamed to say that I still love the quilt and I’ve had the joy of completing the quilt top. I am now debating the best way to quilt it. I’m thinking hand tying. This quilt is truly a labour of love that brings me many happy memories – andI have’nt even used it yet!
Congrats on 100k!! My favorite quilt so far is the moda love quilt.
My favorite quilt was a four patch on point. I used all my favorite fabrics. Alot of prints with black in them and “freckles ” a collection that free spirit had many years ago. I collected that fabric for years and still but a piece in whenever I can. I haven’t finished my secret lives of color yet and it’s sure to be a favorite also
+My favorite quilt that I made is A Crooked Mile. I made it a couple of years ago, and it is still my favorite.
My favorite quilt was my first quilt along. I don’t recall the name or sponsor now but it stretched my abilities and learned so much!
Hi Pat. I think this is my favorite of your giveaway quilts so far. It’s hard to choose my favorite quilt I made, but I have to say I love my Paris One Block Wonder wall hanging. I made it from just a small piece of a end of bolt fabric. And included a center motif of the fabric whole. The teal and coral colors were not my normal but I love looking at it every day. Congrats again on 100k!
My favorite quilt is still the first one I made. A basket crib quilt for my grandson 21 years ago.
The first quilt I made for my nephew when he was about 4 years old. He’s now 21 and still has it in his room. I made him a Boy Scout quilt when he was older and he still has that in his room as well but that he keeps that first quilt around really makes me happy. Just knowing how much he loved it.
My favorite quilt, that I was making for myself until my mother saw it and fell in love with it, was appliquéd flowers in medium pastel pink, blue and lots of purple with a variety of white on white background. Because it wasn’t quite big enough for her bed I ended up adding eyelet lace after border.
A fan quilt is my favorite. It’s very scrappy and has a lot of vintage seventies fabric. I started it when I was ten years old and finished many decades later. LOL.
Pat my favorite quilt is the one bed! It was during COVID when I found your page/YouTube channel. And you were making the stars with all the polka dot sashing. It was so bright and cheery during a dark time in our lives. You were to help us focus on happiness. Love to you and congratulations on 100K subscribers.
My favorite quilt so far is a Christmas BOM our quilt club did two years ago. It challenged me, frustrated me, and now it pleases me to see it! It’s definitely one I’m keeping forever.
I made a double Irish chain for a friend using browns, greens and reds. It made a beautiful quilt.
Congratulations Pat on making your goal! My favorite quilt I made was the Little Wishes quilt. It turned out so cute my husband even liked it! And he doesn’t pay much attention to quilts usually!
My favorite quilt I made was for my Dad. It is called Goodnight Irene. He used to sing that song to my Mom. (Irene)
I’m not sure my dad really understands the significance of quilt names, but he sure was touched by the gift.
My favorite quilt was one I made for my grandson(s) that was sports themed (I made two so each grandson would have one). It wasn’t anything fancy but they sure loved them. I have since that time worked on my piecing skills to have more design in my quilts.
My favorite quilt I made was with your “Going on a Picnic” pattern using beautiful batiks and a white background. I used as many of the leftover pieces of batik to make a piano keys border.
My absolute favorite quilt I made is the attic window quilt with an old red truck and snowman outside. I used poinsettias as my border and it turned out absolutely beautiful! My second quilt that I had a hard time choosing was a pattern called “A Hint of Fall”! It is made with Applique leaves with all fabric used that had a leaf design! Both are gorgeous
Right now my favorite finished quilt is a BOM I did in 2021. Well it was started then I finished the quilting on it earlier this year. I had restricted my self to two colors orange and blue, the blocks were 15 inches but I decided to do 5 inches instead, about half way through because of a lot of hourglass pieces I started making them 10 inches. To put them all together I added 5 inch squares in blue and orange. Then it sat for awhile as I decided how to finish it. As I watched one of your videos talking about a delectable mountain border I decided that was how I would finish the top. I quilted with straight lines about 1/2 inch apart. It has such a nice soft feel to it and I loved the way it turned out even though I had my doubts as it was coming together. I have enjoyed your putting together of the animals and can’t wait to see how you do your orphan blocks. I have a bin of orphan blocks I need to empty out.
My favorite guilt is a book case quilt that I made for my granddaughter. It was fun choosing fabric for the books that matched her interests. I included some books titled with stories she has written. I also made the bookcase white to match her bedroom furniture. It was a challenge but she was pleased with it. I enjoy making quilts with fabric that is individualized to the person I am making it for. Thank you for all your tips. Judy
My favorite quilt I made was “Cat O’Lantern” from the first Spooky box I ever purchased from Fat Quarter Shop. I had so much fun making the wall hanging. I have already purchased more fabric to make another one for my daughter-in-law because she really likes mine.
My favorite quilt is a Dr Suess quilt I made for my grandson.
My first quilt which went to Nursing School with me was made with Much Love with the help of my Grandmother…We sewed on the Treadle Machine and my Grandmother let me design it and I used her scraps….which consisted of all types of fabric…Took the whole summer but I worked right beside my Patient Grandmother….I so wish she could see my progress over these years…🥰🧵🥰
Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers! My favorite quilt that I made was a sailboat quilt that I drafted myself for my 5 year old son who is now 36. It was the first quilt I ever had “long armed” too! He used that quilt all the way through high school…it is a bit worn but still makes me smile when I look at it!
I hope my comment shows. My nine patch with my grandmothers things.
I’d have to say my nine patch memory quilt of my grandmothers things. I used the sheets from her bed as the background, her clothes as the nine patches and I even used her thread to sew it all together. It will be one of my favorite quilts for the rest of my life.
I want to thank you for the opportunity to win a quilt of yours. It is very beautiful. I have never made a log cabin quilt.
I call it my Therapy quilt. It is scrapy with no rhyme or reason to the blocks,no patterns. I started it during covid and every time I had a crisis I would just sew and cry. I did this through the loss of my sister, several friends, watching my moms decline with Alzheimer’s and all the people who died from covid. My whole life changed during that time and that quilt brings me a little bit of comfort and peace.
My current favorite quilt was a free Robert Kaufman pattern, Pixelated Heart. My sweet mama recently died from Alzheimer’s and I wanted to make memory quilts, for the heart I used all her Tshirts, many of them were patterned with tiny florals or her favorite colors. The first one completed had Tula Pink Fairy Dust as the background and I had it longarmed with songbirds. Mama loved flowers, birds and pastels and it is like a hug from her.
It is only possible to choose one favorite today because tomorrow I would choose a different one. My favorite is made of scrappy dark blue on a pale blue background. .” Blue, everything blue”. The center has pieced squares framed by hundreds of hsts. The border has appliqued flowers.
My favorite quilt I’ve made was my first queen size quilt I sewed for my son’s wedding. I was so nervous presenting it to them!
A Rocky Mtn Shop Hop quilt designed by NaLa’s Quilt Shop. Her quilt is the best every year. Blocks depict Colo landmarks and a road with a quilter riding in her car complete with fabric bolts in the back. So cute!!!
