I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. Thanks for a great prize. I mostly make lap size quilts. I made one bed size quilt and it was very intimidating. But I totally enjoy quilting and I love your ideas tutorials and website!!!

  2. My projects vary. I recently finished a wall hanging, a lap quilt, a medium size quilt, and the Solstice Challenge quilt. Working on Grandma’s Kitchen and Be My Neighbor. Would love to win this.

  3. I mostly make lap size quilts just because I am more apt to finish them up (and they use more scraps than smaller size things), but if I really LOVE a pattern I will enlarge it and make something bed size! I am currently working on your “Little wishes” pattern and am making a Queen size with it. My “Splendid Sampler” will be king size!

  4. I’m just a beginner. One baby quilt and a Christmas Tree Skirt are all I have accomplished. I am enjoying listening to your pod casts. Beautiful fabric! Great for stash building!

  5. It matters not is big or small I love to sew them all.If it was more hours in a day I would sew lots more.I just need to learn the easy way to bind them.

  6. I usually make full sized quilts, whether for my family or a project quilt. We make quilts for a boys home that serves young men from across the United States. That’s usually when I get to try out new patterns and have fun for a worthy cause.

  7. Beautiful blues and creams! Thank you for the various giveaways. i just enjoy sewing and quilting, so will make almost anything: small projects, lap quilts, and bed quilts…crib, twin, full, queen, and king. <3

  8. Love, love, love to quilt!!!! Mostly, big quilts. “Bigger is always better”! Been quilting for about 30 years and am still passionate about it!!!

  9. Enjoy quilting, just learned this last year…after 65 years of sewing regular clothing. Would be nice to receive a kit for a quilt…blue is my husband’s favorite color. Thank you for all you do.

  10. I make mostly bed size quilts full or bigger. Headed to a retreat soon and would love to take this as my project.
    ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  11. I now make more lap quilts as I’ve made bed quilts for all my family members and now they all like quilts to cuddle on the couch with. The lap quilts are also favorites for the grandchildren going off to college. Thanks for all your challenges. Always love your colors!

  12. I love making smaller projects, but that jellyroll can be put to great use making a small bear paw quilt. Quilting is my therapy – I forget everything else!
    All the best

  13. As a new quilter I have only made bed quits, and those have gone to animal rescues as a donation. I would love to learn art quilts one day. Yours are beautiful by the way.

  14. Small quilts usually, easy to finish. Now that I have a new machine with a bigger throat though, I may attempt finishing a bunch of my larger UFO quilt tops that have been sitting forever! 😁

  15. I love this site I make mostly lap quilts I am a very new quilter only about a year in. Love all the teaching and help on this site

  16. I have been making bed quilts – really big bed quilts; but they languish on hangers for the quilting. So, periodically, I like to do a smaller project so I can eventually have something FINISHED! I like wall hangings and table runners that are “easier” to quilt on my domestic machine and easier to finish. I always have multiple projects going on. Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. I like lap quilts – big enough to keep me warm while watching tv and also not so big that I get overwhelmed in the piecing.
This looks wonderful and I am ready to take on another challenge.
