I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. Mostly large throws, the kind you can use to snuggle up in, too big for just a lap but too small for a full size bed 🙂 Thank you for the opportunity to win a wonderful gift.

  2. I do a mixture between large throw, queen and king size quilts mostly. I of course throw in small projects to keep things interesting. 🙂

  3. Love the house block….it’s adorable! Think I’ll us my BeeCreative fabrics for that 🙂

  4. I never win, but I would love to have this giveaway. Lovely fabrics and a cut pattern! I don’t live far from the VA Quilt Museum I can’t wait to see your exhibit!

  5. thanks pat for the generous give-a-way….most of my quilts are wall-hangings and lap quilts….so many ideas and patterns and so little time….this helps to accomplish more 🙂 janet

  6. I love to do lap quilts and baby quilts. I am not much for wall hangings or table runner type things. Mainly quilts, I love using charm packs, jelly rolls, etc.

  7. I make all sizes. It depends on who and what it is for. Currently I am working on a lap size. Thanks for all of the information you share with us and thank you for the giveaway!

  8. I like to have more than one project on the go at any one time – usually a small project that I can pick up and work on by hand and a larger project usually a quilt that I will machine piece. Currently working on block 14 of Be My Neighbour.

  9. Love my quilting time…
I usually have two bed size quilts in the works
along with a lap size quilt or two and then there
are the place mats and table runners so I can say
I’ve completed something. The process seems to go
slow because I’m a hand quilter. But, I love every
    minute of it.
Thanks for sharing your talents and your generosity.

  10. First of all : “hi” from Jacquelinne Steves – it is via her that I found you, and I must say, I like very much your style.
I am a novice at quilting, have done 4 baby quilts, some totes, table runners and 2 larger quilts. Trying out different styles and techniques, like some more than others… Have a sewing day!

  11. I have been sticking to small projects. I would like a machine with more throat space to make it easier to work on larger projects. BTW..thanks for all that you do for your quilting fans.

  12. Hi Pat,
I make mostly bed quilts, but add in baby quilts too for all the girls I work with!
    Love your patterns. Patti K

  13. I tend to make twin to king sized. If I’m going to do it I’m going to go big or go home as they say! Hahaha! Thanks for the giveaway!

  14. I love to quilt although I still consider myself a beginner😟 I love to read your ‘mail’ Pat Sloan. Thank you for this opportunity.

  15. I do mostly bed quilts. I’m known as go big or go home. Always make a quilt bigger than the pattern is. I also love doing land scrapes.

  16. I make large bed size quilts, from lovey, crib, twin, full, queen, king sizes. Have many going at once. Thanks for the chance!!

  17. I am loving the idea of SMALL QUILTS in groupings around the house. SO, I’m starting to make smaller quilts or smaller lap quilts rather than bed-size quilts! Happy day!

  18. Most of my quilts are full size. I love wall hanging for seasonal quilts and love to make Christmas wall hangings for my family. Lately I’ve been into appliqué. I love it, and use it to cover some “bad points”. LOL I love BOMs and do at least one a year. I also do the Mystery Quilts offered at Emma’s Quilt Cupboard getaway. I’ve enjoyed your website and am doing Be My Neighbor.

  19. I like to do both, but I tend to make more small projects…I think I have Quilter’s ADD – I get bored and want to get on with the next project. So BOM’s and smalls are perfect for me – wall hangings, table toppers, etc.
Thanx for the opportunity to attempt to win something.

  20. I like to do some of each, but I do tend to make smaller projects more often. I think I have Quilter’s ADD – I get bored and like to get on with the next project, so things like BOM’s and smalls are perfect for me!!!
Thanx for the opportunity to attempt to win something

  21. If I am working on a large project, I usually have a few little things going at the same time. Just got a charm pack of your fabric “the Sweet Life”. So colorful and full of all your bright colorful favorites.

  22. I am new to quilting and prefer bed quilts. However, I will be trying lots of projects small and large in the near future.

  23. I make a combination of baby quilts, lap quilts and bed quilts, with a few smaller projects such as purses, potholders and placemats. It depends on the occassion, due to fixed income I have to be selective on what I make and have someone special to make it for.

  24. I love those blue and creams together. I would love to win the giveaway. I do a lot of quilts for fundraisers and this would be perfect for that.

  25. I’ve only made a couple of bed size quilts. I like to quilt my own projects and they are just too much! Lap size and smaller work for me.

  26. I like making larger quilts, but sometimes it’s nice to get a smaller project done so you have a sense of quicker gratification!!
