I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  7. I usually make small and medium wall quilts with the occasional bed quilt or baby quilt thrown in. I love looking at the different fabrics in each of your sampler blocks.   9. I love the blue fabric in the quilt kit. I generally make queen size quilts. I’ve made several sizes. I give them away, I just enjoy the process for making the quilts. I am currently working on hand sewing and hand quilting a quilt. The sweet ladies in my guild have taught me so much.

  10. I love the colors in the kit. I have made a few table top quilts, queen size and a few baby quilts. I give them away. I do it because I enjoy the process and when I get stuck, I have some wonderful quilting ladies that help!

  12. I choose the size for the person I think they will use the MOST. I want my quilts to be used and loved, not saved as some treasure from the past.

  13. Large, small I’ve tried them all. Liking smaller projects as I can try new techniques and cute designs. Right now I’m into pincushions and using up my scraps.

  14. I make them all, but I prefer lap quilts. And when I’m between quilt projects, I adore small things: a bag, placemats, table runners, bibs — whatever catches my fancy. Gotta keep busy doncha know…idle hands doncha know.

  18. The question is do I like to make small quilts, lap quilts or bed quilts. My answer is I make what ever strikes my fancy at the time. Lately I have been making what ever Pat tells me to make.I would like to win your give-away!

  19. I rotate several lap or bed quilts, then fill in with smaller projects. Loved doing the Solstice but had four others to do so didn’t do Grandmothers project. Love all of your projects and books Pat, thank you!!
