I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. Love to make smaller items – just don’t have room for anything large and smaller items work out faster – thanks.

  2. Your second colorway is just as pretty as the first! And now your making me want to begin a winter themed version. Lord help me, I think I’m becoming a quilting addict. Thanks for all the inspiration!

  3. I make more bed quilts overall or large lap/sofa kind of quilts….just wish i could get them done faster than i do! I love your page BTW…very inspiring! Thanks again for all you post to keep us moving along!

  4. Small projects, baby quilts, lap quilts, and bed-sized quilts.
Love your fabrics and projects! ❤️❤️❤️

  5. I prefer small projects, table runners, baby and lap quilts, but also make large quilts occasionally. I like the smaller things because they are finishable and the big things take so much longer.

  6. I have been making more “lap” size for the grandkids. However, I would love to start a wall of minis and have my eye on a couple of patterns.

  7. Couch quilts seem to be popular in my house now. They are perfect throws for when the temp gets cooler (I’m in Texas) and they are less bulky to quilt.

  8. I make mostly lap quilts now but and going toward smaller projects. Other than the 3-4 bed quilts I have started. Love your fabrics

  9. I make mostly large lap quilts, even for babies. It is always wonderful to have a personal quilt to snuggle up in.

  10. I mostly make big quilts and baby quilts. Have made a few lap quilts and special projects in the past (like your sewing machine wall hanging!).

  11. I really had to think about what I have made. Wallhanging, full sized Quilts or baby quilts? I decided it was about equal of each one. Style and colors? Across the board, traditional to modern.

  12. I must need icecream~ I read that you added cream to the box and I saw icecream!!! Yes, cream would go good with that box! The colors are great but cream would make it even better!

  13. This my 3rd quilt and all seem to be twin or throw size. Anything smaller I complete to quickly. Lol

  14. I make mostly small projects as I enjoy the feeling of completion. Looking forward to making baby quilts someday. I make big ones but not as many as the small.

  15. I prefer to make lap quilts. I am able to make them faster to display in my living room for everyone to enjoy. There is always three or four on the couch and a chair just waiting to be used.

  16. I make all sizes and have made over 75. We have a large family and I have made quilts for all except the new baby…born in June!
Behind a little! I had my own sewing business for 18 years. I knew I wanted to be a quilter…..SOMEDAY!! I bought and bought fabric for years for the someday. I used some, gave tons away and this spring I decided to pair down my stash. I had a 9 hrs sale over 3 days
And sold so much at 2.00 a yard. Some kits but lots if all types. I am telling you all this because you may be surprised how good it feels to sell the things you will never use. I encourage you to try it! And some women got some really good deals! I advertised it as quilters only.
Maybe in a year or so I am going to do this again. It is so freeing!!
I love fabric but really do not need this fabric. I would like to see a beginner win!!
Probably typed too much so EDIT………

  17. I have made small projects over the years. Mainly totes, baby quilts, 60″x 80″ for Lutheran Relief. I have made quick projects for benefits. Starting on more queen size for family members. I could never understand why people would cut up fabric and putting it back together. But, I do now. Even if it is not intricate the satisfaction of the planning and the love put into the project. But I still have a problem cutting into all that beautiful fabric. Also, I would love the give-away! Love blue!

  18. I like to make bed quilts but as soon as I get caught up I am going to start on smaller projects: lap and baby quilts and table runners etc.Thank you for your patterns and giveaway.

  19. I like bed size quilts myself but I think I might try some mini quilts in the future. Also want to try hand quilting. Or even a table runner.

  20. I make a little bit of everything. But more bed sized quilts. Most have gone to children, grand children and sisters.

  21. I make quilts of all sizes: king all the way down to potholders!
It all depends on what friends and family need most.

  22. I make more lap quilts than any other size. Although lately I have made some tiny quilts/mug rugs and they are fun! I see more of them in my future!

  23. I start a lot of large bed quilts. LOL. Then I get frustrated or bored & do a small project in between, whether it’s pot holders, totes, Bible covers, or panel quilts. 🙂

  24. I haven’t made very many quilts yet. The ones I have in progress would be more like lap quilts or smaller bed quilts to be donated to our Project Linus chapter. They already have a few that I have done and I want to do more.

  25. Why yes I do love giveaways thank you for asking. I mix it up on quilt sizes. Right now I am working on a couple of lap quilts for grandson and extended family and these aren’t even Christmas presents just because they are adorable and asked. Yes I am a pushover. Thank you for the giveaway chance
