I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. Since I love to make quilts, I make every size!! I guess you could say I make more bed quilts than any other size! It’s all good.

  2. I’ve made a couple of queen-sized quilts. Now I need to decide on a wall hanging. I can’t make up my mind which one.

  3. Since I am a beginner, I have only made small things. The largest thing I have made is a baby/toddler quilt. I hope to someday make larger quilts.

  4. I’ve made a couple of queen size quilts and now want to do some wall hangings. It is just deciding which one to do.

  5. I’m still really learning. I’ve done a lap quilt, wall quilt, bed quilt. I’m still mastering the whole piecing technique so I have several projects in the works. I’m just discovering how much the quilting piece affects the whole finished look of the quilt.

  6. I seam (LOL) to make mostly Queen sized quilts that verge on the King size, mostly because of the extra deep mattress on my bed that I have, and the bed in our travel trailer was a King size. Recently I have decided to downsize and try and make a few lap and baby quilts. Thanks for the draw.

  7. I mostly have made lap/throw sizes although I enjoy small projects and wall hangings to try new skills or as small gifts. Love the house blocks and the blue fabrics! Thanks for all you share with us!

  8. I have been quilting for less than 2 years and have made every size from a mug rug to a couple of full size quilts. Ifind that doing a small project in the middle of a larger one gives me a break when i get bogged down

  9. lately mostly small quilts, lap, and art quilts, because I have 6 bed quilts waiting to be quilted and several more on the to do list.

  10. Mostly smaller projects. They are easier to knock in a day or two. But the smaller projects are just an opportunity to take a breather from the quilts. Finishing a small project provides a bit of a break and big energy boost to continue a larger project.

  11. From my first totally handsewn 9 block quilt I jumped to a double bed machine sewn quilt. What a headache but I learnt so much from all my mistakes. Still making them, but at least now I’m going from small do-able projects to slightly larger ones (big, cheesy grin!!)

  12. Right now I make mostly bed quilts, though I think I’ll be moving to smaller projects as I have no room left!

  13. I mostly do bed size quilts, I do have a couple of children size quilts for the grandbabies. Thanks Pat!!

  14. I make mostly large or bed quilts. I want to make something that at least one person cam cover up and snuggle with!

  15. I like to make baby and lap quilts. I make small projects, like rug mugs and table runners, to give as gifts.

  16. I love making all kinds of sizes. My minds runs so fast with all the projects I want to do but not enough time to do them all. I’m on the countdown side to retiring and then, watch out!!!!

  17. I mostly do lap or larger than lap (more twin size). When my hubby sits and wraps up with a quilt, he likes to tuck under his feet, so he likes it extra long, so that’s what I feel others like also. Extra length doesn’t hurt.
    Thanks for the giveaway Pat.

  18. I usually make lap quilts but getting ready to make a twin size for my grandddaughter to take to college. I love blues, pinks, purples, and teals. I love being a member of your site it gives me some wonderful ideas and it is great to see the projects of so nay talented people.

  19. Lately I’ve been making BIG quilts. I love to make kennel quilts for APQM to relax and baby quilts when needed. Would love to win this giveaway! Thanks for all you do!

  20. Oh joy beautiful fabrics and amazing inspirations, thanks for all the fun you give out and keep us busy sewing and getting quilts DONE!

  21. I do a lot of smaller projects for that ‘instant gratification’ factor! Love making bed quilts as well, but haven’t had time lately!

  22. I make lap quilts mostly. Sometimes a little bigger depending on how carried away I get when adding borders. Thank you for sharing with us all your beautiful blocks.

  23. I make mostly bed quilts, although I’m trying to make nothing larger than a throw. In my mind, when I think quilt, it’s just big and cozy and good to sleep under.

  24. I make mostly bed size but am trying to make throw size so more friends could be blessed with a quilt.
    Sewpiecefully Pat

  25. I’m all over the map with what I make. Currently working on lap quilts for the grandchildren for Christmas; also have a King size “Day and Night” in the works for my husband and I. And of course I have Grandmother’s Kitchen going! Love everything you do for us Pat!

  26. Yes! Make them all. Also tote bags of all kinds, mug rugs, pillows, fabric baskets. Just love piecing and sewing!

  27. I make mostly bed quilts but for every child that is born in my family, I make their first baby quilt and then when they turn 3 (and are in a big bed) they get a bed sized quilt.
