I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I am just beginning and have only done small projects.
But I am now doing your Grandma’s Kitchen…one set of blocks in regular
prints and one set in Christmas print. I decided if I am going to learn
to quilt why not jump in with both feet and do 2 at a time!!!!

  2. I mostly make small quilts, but I’m to the point that I need a new quilt for my bed, so I’m going to make one. And guess what, blue was the color I had my eye on. Thanks so much for your help and hints.

  3. I make mostly lap size quilts, because it is really difficult to quilt large ones on my domestic sewing machine. Yes, I know it can be done . . but it is difficult. I am on a fixed income so I really don’t have the money to send them out to a longarm quilter either.

  4. Oh my! Where to start? If it’s sewing, I do it! Yesterday, after working all day, I finished block 3 of Be My Neighbor, then I cut and sewed this weeks Grandma’s kitchen block. THEN, I cut out the material and started sewing our granddaughter’s Halloween costume. I love to sew anything and everything! Every time I take on a new project, my husband says “How are you going to find time for that?” I treat my sewing like a second job. I give myself deadlines and do my best to meet them. I sew for love (projects for friends and family). I tell my kids as long as I can keep a needle in my hand and a project on my table I will be happy. I’ve been a member of your group for almost a year now………what joy! Thanks!

  5. I love to make all kinds of sizes of quilts. It seems lately though I’ve been making queen sizes. I also make wall hangings every now and then to change it up from the quilts. I’ve never made a table runner before. I would love to make the blue table runner that you are giving away.

  6. Thank you! I enjoy making baby quilts & donate to whoever needs them. My last 2 projects were table runners & now I am yearning to make a wall hanging. Happy Quilting & good luck everyone!

  7. I make whatever strikes my fancy at the time. Most turn into throw and bed quilts. Can’t seem to stop and only make a wall quilt if I like it. LOL!

  8. I just started quilting and so far I have done small projects. I am having the time of my life and I am just now starting a big quilt. Can’t wait to see it finished.

  9. I love making king size to wall quilts and everything in between. I make clothes for my granddaughter and pretty hairbows. I have sewn since I was 5 and I’m 57 now. Hope to win!! 😊

  10. I make both lap and small quilts. I do make some bed quilts but not as much as the others. If I had a king arm I would do more bigger quilts as my machine just doesn’t perform as well at them…hint hint to my hubs.

  11. I started off making quilts and table runners, then I started making totes and bags, I also do purses. I love cutting and putting fabric back together again..

  12. I love all your projects! I enjoy making all size quilts, many for family and gifts💕 Thank you for your give aways, such fun!

  13. I’ve made all sizes, from queen to lap/baby quilts, table runners and pot holders. It depends on the project and who it is for.

  14. I love quilting in general:-D! Although, I must admit, mostly I make big quilts lately. “Be my Neighbour” pattern is on my “to do” list since last year – perhaps next year will have enough time to make it :-D.

  15. I prefer to make wall hangings and landscapes because I can easily machine quilt them myself & get finished quicker. I have made several Queen & King size quilts, as well as many smaller sized ones!

  16. I just starting quilting this year. I am addicted! I love making the different patterns but some are a challenge for me. Would love to try this one in my favorite color, blue.

  17. I love making all sized quilts but I seem to make more bed sized quilts than any other. Love the give-away!

  18. I am def. a beginner ,only made one baby quilt but would love to try with this to make others, but congrats. to whoever ,thank you for the chance !!

  19. I make mostly lap quilts at this time. I’m thinking I’ll start doing smaller projects so I can
Try different things and also do my own quilting. Love you BOMs.

  20. I make primarily baby and bed quilts. 90% of what I make I’ve given away. Just finishing up 2 solstice quilts. Loved the journey.

  21. I tend to make lap quilts for family however lately everyone seems to be having babies! Thx for chance to win this gorgeous prize!

  22. I make bed quilts. The piecing is my favorite part of the process. I actually have about 10 tops that need quilting. Way behind on that step being I hand quilt. Need me a LAQ. I love giveaways

  23. For the last 12 years or so, I have mostly made baby quilts for the co-workers where my husband worked, for Make a Child Smile and Quilts for Kids. Hubby retired so now my focus will be bigger quilts but continuing with the children’s charity quilts.

  24. I seem to be very utilitarian with my quilting…. want to USE them. Most of my quilts are bed size – twin/full. My problem is when ever i give a quilt as a gift – everyone wants to put it up on the wall and not touch it!! LOL One in my life said – “I have waited so very long for a “Keri Quilt”!!! (but i do the smaller stuff too :))

  25. I have been working on special block projects 2- block of the week grandma kitchen and moda Blockheads and then block of the month my neighirhood and monthly block from Craft Warehouse. I have many many UFO as well…. as for gift always… I love them!!!
