I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I love making pieced bed quilts. While I only started quilting about 18 months ago, I’ve made almost 15 bed-sized quilt tops, 3 of which are complete. Quilting is such fun and so gratifying!
Have a great time at the quilt museum, Pat!

  2. Since I’m still fairly new to quilting, I’m still building my stash. Any sampler boxes greatly appreciated.

  3. I love giveaways, I don’t think I’ve ever won anything, but I love giveaways! It would really improve my quilting.

  4. I have mostly done small things. I am in the process of completing my first quilt now (just the binding left)!

  5. I love a good giveaway! It is always exciting to get surprises in the mail, especially if they are quilt related ♡
I mostly quilt baby blankets and lap blankets. I love your Neighborhood houses and Grandma’s Kitchen♡♡

  6. I love to make table runners, napkins, little projects in-between my every 2 year family reunion quilt. I can no longer move a queen quilt thru my machine, so will probably move to lap quilts from now on.

  7. I have made so many large quilts that I usually make large lap quilts now unless it’s for a special occasion.

  8. I love making all size quilts. My current favorite is oversized lap quilts. The perfect size for cuddling up with on chilly evenings.

  9. I love your sites and challenges. I used to make queen- or king-sized quilts; however age and laziness has caught up with me so I now make lap-to-twin sized quilts.

  10. I like to work on small quilts because like other quilters I seem to find another quilt project that just grabs ahold of me and says start me before I finish what I am working on. Would love to make this one of those new projects.

  11. Ohhhhhh pretty! I make everything from Quilts of Valor, wall hangings, lap size, bed size and even post cards. You can never have enough fabric or time to play with that fabric!

  12. I LOVE making small projects. When it comes to quilting, I consider myself a beginner. I have purchased several of your books – my favorite being The Splendid Sampler – and have made several of your block squares. Exactly what I am going to do with them all, I don’t know. Having said that, I’ve turned the “seasonal” ones into 12 x 12 mini quilts and display them at the appropriate time of year. I really appreciate all the FREE patterns you provide as well as the challenges you throw my way. Thanks for all you do!!!!

  13. I tend to feel most comfortable making lap quilts or smaller – table toppers, wall hangings, baby quilts.
    P.S. Blue is my go-to color 🙂

  14. lap size quilts and bed quilts I like the best. I do not have lots of time any more, so big projects take longer, but love the one that will be on my bed sometime in the next year!
Thank you again, Pat for all you do for us!

  15. I have just started quilting, but have made a few jelly role race, a complete queen pinwheel quilt and three embroidered quilts. I am thinking of learning to machine quilt so I can finish all my quilts.
    Thanks for the offer
    Hugs Heather

  16. done a black and white, a red and cream, green and purple but never blue and white, which is funny because there’s a lot of blue in my house

  17. I do a little of all of the combinations; but mostly do lap quilts at our church and donate them to the community.
    love all your projects

  18. I have a couple of large quilts that are works in progress & seem to get pushed aside for the smaller projects. With a new Grandbaby & 2 Great Nieces due in the next 2 months, baby quilts seem to be what I made most lately

  19. I like to make bed quilts, but also enjoy all quilting projects. Thank you for the chance at the giveaway.

  20. I really like making lap /throw quilts. They are easier for me to quilt on my small machine, and take less time. Sometimes I get lost in a project if it is too big.

  21. I have two large size quilt tops reproachfully gathering dust after three whole years of waiting to be finished, so I suppose that makes me a lap quilt maker by default. I really need to do some proper reading up on quilting tops at home without a long arm machine…or invest in a hoop and begin hand quilting??

  22. I make mostly small quilts for donations, but I make several large bed-size quilts each year also.

  23. I mostly do baby quilts. And then oversized baby quilts because the grandkids get older and request longer quilts 🙂
I LOVE give a ways! It’s like christmas with the anticipation !!!
